Is RuneScape 3 What We Need?
I've moved your topic to RS Media as this is primarily a video (and that video is primarily talking). If you want to make a discussion topic on forums, maybe it's a good idea to write your arguments down :P.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
There's a tiny chance you can make the #1 epic day - go solo corp now!

Fishing XP
You can do regular fly fishing near Rasolo the merchant as well, just sell him the fish. About 50k/hr. Fish Flingers are good too, join the clan chat Fish Flingers for games. It's very afk and roughly 60k/hr I think? but you can play only ten games per week (3 games per hour or so).

Fletching or Firemaking?
Get the fletching and firemaking requirements for maple and sell any excess willow logs. Working with willow is slow xp gaining.

I don't want to spend money on magic logs if I can get 99 for free in 3 weeks of circus + training cave, less if I woodcut with adze. Actually got 1.3m xp today, mostly woodcutting, firemaking, dungeoneering, herblore, agility, farming (5 herb runs ftw). That's about half my weekly xp gain.

If you had just started playing the game and you never knew anything of what it used to be, you wouldn't think anything of it. I guarantee it. And that's who they're going for - new players, who aren't familiar with the game. Make the early days more enjoyable and you increase your chances for retaining them as long-term customers. I remember very well how the game used to be when I started. It was long before the addition of the Lumbridge home teleport, and there was very little aid to the newbies there. I had to discover a lot of stuff myself, and there were no NPCs to tell me how to play the game down to the smallest detail. I had to find a way to make money with level 1 skills (except for the 10 HP) and there were no tasks to give me 2000 gold pieces for something as simple as taking a free pickaxe from the general store. 2000 gold was a huge sum for me as a newbie, and after days spent with exploring, selling cooked sardines and self-smithed bronze equipment to the general store, I felt really pleased when I had managed to amass a wealth of several thousand gold pieces. It was one of the funnest experiences in RS for me (perhaps the funnest) and if I could have a Runescape mind wipe and play through that again, I would do so without hesitation. Now, I've played other games which have tutorials like what RS has now. Boring. Do you have any idea how dull it is to have a tutorial like that? The amount of exploration opportunities and not being given everything for free is not to be underestimated. You say they're making the early game more enjoyable - I think not. I think they're dumbing it down. Chances are, someone who has started playing quite recently will not look back on his newbie days with nostalgia a year later, because by the time he has left Lumbridge he has already gotten 50k. Jagex hasn't improved the early game; in fact, I would say they destroyed it entirely, by making you jump into the midgame grind almost straight away. Agreed, the entire sense of exploration in the early game is much less 'difficult' than it used to be. Jagex hasn't managed to replicate the sensation of finding new mechanics or areas much, imo.

Another Fight cave thread..sorry
You'll use a lot more prayer but you'll also finish the caves a lot faster. You can easily finish the caves even with 0 prayer bonus now that flasks are here, I wouldn't worry about it.

Another Fight cave thread..sorry
Actually, Karil's has more ranged defence which is more useful, since you aren't under melee attack by anything significant anyway. Karil's is better. I'd recommend using runite bolts instead of broad. It costs a little more, but the additional damage output is very valuable and makes it that much easier to survive. After all, monsters can't hit you when they're dead ;). If you felt that you weren't hitting a lot, trade Verac's skirt for Karil's or dragonhide. Pray eagle eye at all times.

Soul Wars mainly, I think.

Fire rune running
According to this guide, fires were already up to 9.5k xp/hr before lodestones.

For farming runs, lodestone teleports are way too slow anyway. The only places you need runes for are Trollheim and Catherby, the rest is already 'devalued' by other items such as combat bracelets, cabbage-port and ectophial (I'm pretty sure those are all faster than lodestones).

Is it worth coming back?
Clan Citadels have improved a lot imo, much more xp from them now (45% more if you work regularly) and the woodcutting and mining resources are far more afk. The armour rework brought some pretty good graphics and the gnome area looks much better now too.

Herblore on Bonus XP Weekend
About the overloads vs. extremes thing: extremes tend to be a bit better for things like hunting green dragons, but they quickly become worth it as monsters drop more loot and have higher defence. Frost dragons are borderline, all bosses and mithril dragons are pretty certainly better with overloads. Overloads also save a bit of space if you would normally carry attack/strength/defence/ranged potions (for example) and they are crucial for magic. Since the highest level boost for magic is +7, you will lose 1/7th of your boost every minute, versus only 1/26th for melee and 1/22nd for ranged. I might add that overloads are very comfortable because you don't have to worry about repotting or stat drain.

Fight Kiln Setup
Ganodermic top and legs, polypore staff or Storm of Armadyl with Armadyl battlestaff, Karil's crossbow, rapier, arcane spirit shield, boost mage attack a bit and a Soul Wars cape for prayer. Full slayer helmet for mage/range attack.

PP, hunter and slayer
[hide=Slayer guide]The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Steadfast/Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +10 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +20 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, black dragon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 70 prayer and King's Ransom - piety 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it.[/hide] When you're slaying with special restores, you bring maybe 8 potions (now that a yak can hold them, full yak probably, but only when you're not using an iron titan/steel titan) and you'll use them up quickly, 16 minutes for the lot, leaving plenty of space for rune chains and whatnot. It's possible Korasi's sword is actually superior to claws, in single combat of course. For PP refer to this topic. Ideally you would hunt draconics so you have just enough vines to last you one level, then catch more for the next level, because you'll catch them faster at higher levels. Trouble is you have to bank/re-attract them each time so it's probably better to just catch a few dozen at the time.

Fight Caves.. suggestions?
If you have done Ritual of the Mahjarrat, Storm of Armadyl will help quite a bit on Jad, though I'm not sure it's worth it on others. Vecna's is an equivalent +3 level boost, magic potions are +5, alternating one drink of potion and one skull boost will give you an average of 4.14ish (after Vecna's boost, immediately drink mage potion when boost drops to 3, then wait for next Vecna boost) which is about 5% better dps and quite cheap.

What else do I need for glacors?
Ahrim's isn't better than void in my opinion, magic attack bonus is way overrated. With void melee you'll kill the glacytes significantly faster and since you do not have a rapier, surgebox or steel titan that kill speed increase will help a lot more than a little mage attack (not to mention you will have a nice bit of extra prayer bonus). You do need the void melee helmet however. The base setup is void deflector with barrows gloves and a fire cape. You switch between arcane stream necklace + staff of light + void mage helmet and amulet of fury + vine whip + void melee helmet. If you want you can also switch between dragon and infinity boots or seer's and berserker rings, but a ring of wealth is much easier to use.
