  1. Depends if you'll get any levels from bxpw that will help in the caves, if not then it doesn't really matter. Also I'd highly recommend an EE over a mace and just bringing a few more restores, the EE really is the best healing spec there (If you don't have it then use bxpw to train the levels you need and do the caves after you have it).
  2. That's an advantage to training slayer, not an advantage for having slayer levels. 99 slayer doesn't help me get effigies any faster than someone with 1 slayer. It does if you're cannoning giant cave crawlers for the effigies.
  3. 135 days 15 hours, averaging about 35k exp/hr
  4. damn if they do that i'm using row for sure ;o Aren't effigies on the same drop table as charms (With some variations for the combat level mechanic) though? If so I doubt the row would affect them...
  5. We don't know what the training method will entail exactly, and if it allows you to bank less often it might be a better investment than before.
  6. And all the running around.
  7. Turm/SS are far more useful for slayer than ovls, which are mostly used for MHing considering the large cost/hr.
  8. +1, I actually like the way this armor looks (Choice of colors being somewhat limited atm), maybe at the end this set could create some hybrid setups to take on summoning tanks.
  9. what i want to know is what are they planning to do with astral. If they would have left astral out they would have had an item for each armour space. Are they going to be making arrows now? Maybe by the time they're finishing off the last quest they'll already have added a belt slot (I remember hearing something about this from RuneFest, but if it will happen it'll probably be a looooong time off).
  10. This old thread deals with what you're talking about.
  11. This is going to be the smithing update that they have been talking about for OVER A YEAR, if they're going to be introducing more smithing content later on to make it actually useful they're either going to do the same thing and talk about it long before they release it, or surprise us out of nowhere after alienating the entire community that has been anticipating this rework. Unless they're hiding something I'm very disappointed, for all the time they had to think, develop, and balance an overhaul they made something that (From the looks of the BTS) took the same amount of development time as the Skills Bonanza.
  12. Wow. A full 49 mage def, that's almost as much as a blk d'hide top  .
  13. At least these puzzles were a bit more intuitive and didn't punish you as much for messing up once; hopefully later on these machines will work more than once and things will be easier to get to and make because right now it takes a hell of a long time to just make one bar, and the workshop is getting pretty big.
  14. No reason not to test the herb market and sell now, since the guide price doesn't have to rise to keep up with demand in the free market. Just keep an eye on what different herbs are going for and sell when you think is best, I think a lot of people are going to be selling their stuff even earlier than last year since everyone knows about the crash 2 days prior to the BXPW.
  15. Keep in mind that you're able to sell them at any price; people may be swayed by the guide price which takes time to update, but you can offer them for a far higher price if you want. I'd just test them out, put in a few at a high price, see at what price they stop selling, leave them in there to see if people start buying for more, and keep adjusting with the market.
  16. This is a bit different I think. Your thread pertains to having maxed everything possible and forcing the other(s) to hop, these people are completely dependent on the crashed being there to sustain their tactics.
  17. The gp/exp is probably going to be skewed too, since I'm assuming the guide price for bars atm doesn't reflect what they're actually being traded at.
  18. Other than possibly bringing down bones a little, meh, more exp is more exp I suppose (Decent way to start out spring break).
  19. The only thing in the article that has some factual support for your argument would be "Psychologists warned the playing of such games at a young age ran the risk of children developing addictive behaviour." The children in question were around age 4. Find some better evidence that these "soft gambling games" can encourage addictive behavior for kids ~12-17, if you want to prove your point of easing into TEEN addiction rather than CHILD addiction.
  20. Snaps or Torstol, note that while Torstol is (Iirc) better profit than snaps long-term you only make a profit with it using Scroll of Life and Juju farming potions.
  21. It doesn't matter if they do or not based on your question, you WILL be crashed using Slayer Dart.
  22. Even without stream + chaotic staff you will get crashed using Slayer Dart, use Claws of Guthix w/ Void Mace (Or any god spell I suppose) + Charge or Fire Surge, I don't know your mage level but without either of those don't mage Rex.
  23. Rapier>Korasai's>Saradomin Sword>D scim+ddef
  24. I hear that making ~1k ovl ingredients for training to 91 is the way to go, and you'll want to save some extremes for slaying and more casual/general combat.
  25. Mining the ess will be faster than banshees or abby specs, the reason they're a better idea is that you can sell their other drops to pay for more pure ess.
