Lunar Magicks Farming Question
Also a lot less fussy, though since you should tele to trollheim first in your run the invy space and time it takes to use doesn't really factor into your time (Doesn't cut into farming juju pots either).

Top 3 most useful skills to get to 70 for a kinda noob player?
Prayer, Summon, and Farm. He asked for the most useful, not ones that make pathetic amounts of money or non-expensive ones; utility comes at a cost.

Ge issues
That wouldn't make sense. You don't have to wait for the prices to go up anymore, you just put them up for sale at the price you want to sell them at. The GE suggested price may be off, but there aren't any fake prices anymore. But most people buy according to the guide price instead of browsing forums to see what it's trading for just for the sake of convenience.

Jagex Limited receives growth investment from new investors
That's probably thier total income, not their profit lol; paying wages, maintaining servers, buying new hardware, and marketing probably whittled down that number a good amount. And they can only do more with money as long as they are free to do so, power=/=freedom.

Jagex Limited receives growth investment from new investors
Because now not only are employees from 3rd part investors on the board of directors, even less stock is owned by the company which means that outside influences have more control over the company's decisions. Basically they got invested in, and now because they need to return that investment they need to focus on making the money back first instead of improving the game; the two aren't always mutually exclusive, but if there comes a time when they are things will start to go downhill fast.

How do you use staff of light spec effect with other weapons?
In WoW we call this "clever use of in game mechanics". Doesn't make it any less banable but it sounds so much nicer. :) Clicking outside of bank screens and using BoBs to contunually withdraw bones to altar is JaGeX's definition of "clever use of game mechanics."

What to kill for 99 Def? (99att+99str already)
You can try killing Dust Devils and Black Demons for charms, though Dust Devils aren't all that great melee exp and to kill Black Demons effectively you'll be using a cannon which is both expensive and will cut into your def exp/hr. Perhaps Abyssal Demons if you want a little cash, I'd recommend slayer overall though.

looking for a "joB'
If you need it THAT badly try doing jobs for the NPCs around lumby, or alternatively killing men in edgeville is a few hundred k per hour with the herb drops.

If you give a mouse a cookie...
What do you mean...how to look? There are ALWAYS 3+ moneymaking / cr cls / herby xp threads on the front page.. And just because someone is new to the forum doesn't mean they don't know how to use a search bar >.> not always, and if there are I dont see more then 1 post about a subject per page at all given times, and honestly not every new person knows how to use the search bar. I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who's tech-savy enough to play runescape that's never encountered a search bar before, I mean it's not much different than Google.

If there was one new feature you could add to Runescape, what would it be?
Make Familiarization easier to get to, there's probably other things but that's what's annoying me at the moment.

Future Update Discussions
I'd rather 1 quest as short and fun as Nomad's Requiem than 10 quests like that new dwarf quest where all I did was talk the whole time. Nomad's Requiem was fun? I always thought it was just a boss fight with a bare bones story around it. Quests should be a crapload of talking and a fight at the end. Or, heaven forbid, visual and interactive storytelling that actually takes advantage of games unique position as a medium rather than just having a book in a game...

If you give a mouse a cookie...
Grade schoolers technically shouldn't be playing at any rate, and many of the questions come from people who should have a fairly decent background in the game (CR vs. CLS threads, 80+ dung takes some playing time). We are assuming that most of the people have had at least a passing familiarity with research methods and are not completely helpless, obviously I'm not going to tell a new player to just figure everything out right away, and I don't mind misunderstandings (Even just posting without getting a reply helps you organize your thoughts of what you have and haven't tried and may solve your problem). All I think the OP is asking is to do the best that you can to answer the question on your own, whatever the limit of your abilities is, and then come to us last (Like the ask 3 then me rule of teachers).

Firemaking skillcape
Skill capes are a member's only feature, sorry; many f2pers want a way to show that they've reached 99 too but there's no way to buy one in f2p even if the seller is in the free world (Like the defense tutor for example).

Levelling herblore
I have about 3k stored up, but they're a fun little pot and I'd recommend making ~1k if you think you'd use them in your monster killing. Untradables are also useful to train with as you'll incur the cost of training and making ovl ingredients at once instead of twice over if you had made and sold tradable pots. That's more for future use but don't discount untradables, especially because you're going to want to use some of them.

How do you use staff of light spec effect with other weapons?
I believe that it's stated in the KBase that the SoL spec stops working if you switch weapons, if it does anything different then that it's a bug, and if you use that knowledge to gain an advantage over others thrn it's bug abuse.

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
I didn't assume fun means casual. Please take the time to actually read my post. Sorry, I did read your post but apparently misinterpreted it. All I was trying to say is that some people's way of having fun is rushing a dung, which interferes with a casual playing style while others like to be casual which interferes with a rushing playstyle; both sides can share equal blame for ruining/wasting the other's time. Also, I'm not arguing against this CC at all. I'm arguing against people like Obtaurian saying that people who don't want to rush should stay away from the DG worlds and public DG teams, because I feel it should be the opposite. If you want to play in a specific manner that requires everyone to play along with it, you should go to a clan chat (like the one discussed in this thread) of like-minded players. Not tell people who play the way they like to follow your way because you think it's better. The thing is that the "specific style" of DG rushing is a lot more universal and thus should be what's expected; if people DG for fun then what they'll do one of a myriad different things. It would make more sense for a more universally applicable system to be the open and public one and the more specific one to be coordinated in clan chats, but I digress that will never happen. EDIT: And, like before, those people who are doing their own thing when a rusher is trying to coordinate everything is just as guilty of trying to conform the other to his playstyle as the rusher. MOAR EDIT: I suppose one could argue that because the rusher requires coordination and communication more than the causal player that they're "forcing" their playstyle more, but that doesn't cut it for me. If someone joins a TEAM I expect them to show TEAMWORK and actually cooperate with one another. If you want to go and do your own thing and have fun then go solo; and if you make the argument that soloing is worse exp then obviously you do care somewhat about efficiency, and are thus just being a leech trying to teams getting things done faster.

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
That is what's happening, but unfortunately because DG is a skill and not a minigame people outgrow and move on after it, making the community very splintered, confused, uneducated, and uncoordinated in general. That's fine if you're just [bleep]ing around, but for those who do want faster exp unless this new cc continues it's not so easy. And no one has said "Go die in a fire inefficient DGer's", but they have said "Move [bleep], get out the way." Lastly fun does exist, but because it's entirely subjective it's not very productive to discuss its impact, some people have fun making full novite and others have fun suicide keying 15 minute dungs; don't assume that fun means casual.

If you give a mouse a cookie...
Everyone seems to think their "CR vs. CLS" or "I'm low levelled and poor how do I make money" is unique because they do x boss more or haven't trained n skill or done z quest, but honestly if they'd just search the forums they'll probably find the same question and any differences between the two accounts/situations is usually negligible. People like personalized service, it's why people generally would rather talk to a person than a voice system even if they'll get the same results. On laziness, I agree but I don't think there's much we can do about it here, I'm just surprised people don't look up things more because I think it's amazing what I can find on google or a wiki.

Ice burst
Even if you don't/can't just join the team that just lost and you should win most games.

Quests...hate them
I actually enjoy some of the stories, while the older ones definitely do feel dated I enjoy changing the world around me and gaining a deeper appreciation for the lore and atmosphere of each area

Makin Money
Farm the herbs that profit most and sell them, if you want to train herblore than the profits from doing this will get you better exp than farming the herbs you want.

Oh the perils of botting
I just hope this doesn't send d bones up even higher, I was just getting enough money to start training.
-
Wtf is wrong with d bones?
Well just by looking at the trading pages on the GE page on the RuneScape website, many items are fluctuating by a lot. To be expected, now that people can pay whatever they want. Recently freed markets usually experience inflation, not to mention we don't know if more or less bots are packing green drags so the supply may have decreased.

The Private Server Syndrome
Only if you can foresee the future. i expected you of all people to know the difference between accounting profit and economic profit. he could not know that he would lose the 300m profit if he sold, but that doesn't change that he still lost it. it is a loss. You can't legally declare potential loss of profit as a loss. In economics yes you can, it's accounting profit versus economic profit. It's not a loss because you can't predict the future, thus there is no way to talk about it as a loss. At the time of the same white was worth 1b, and as he sold it for 1b, he got what it was worth. White now and white a day ago are separate items, thus you can't compare then equally. You could go into details how everyone in 01 were complete morons for not selling their hats for max cash in a few years, but it just doesn't make any sense. You don't lose money by selling items for what they are worth, no matter what the future brings for those items, unless you are aware of the change in price. He made a choice to sell his phat, and every choice incurs an opportunity cost. In this case the opportunity forgone, even if he was not aware of it, cost him 300mil. Just because you can't predict the future doesn't mean that we cannot talk about loss. If I have a choice to invest in one of two stock options, and tomorrow the one I invest in tanks and the other soars I will have lost not only my initial investment but what I would have earned had I chosen the other. Just remember, you can't lose what you never had. But he did have a phat, and he made a gamble and lost. It's not his fault, as you say no one can predict the future, but it's still a loss. This might help.

Fight Caves
Guthans is outdated if you bring an EE/EEE for healing. You'll probably need to range and lure the healers away.
