  1. Off-Topic: We have the quests form MMO's like WoW, it's called the slayer skill  On-Topic: I personally don't give a flying-[cabbage] about pking, for me the 3 pillars are: Skilling, Money, and Quests. With my qp cape one of my pillars has suddenly collapsed, but oh well :P . Also, do boss monsters count as just money? I wouldn't know, I never do them...
  2. The 70 farming and 72 smithing reqs deters most people who are going for 99 cooking :P .
  3. They post for the same reason I am: boredom. People think it's fun to abuse other people, and doing it online (Like countless others have said) gives you that same sense of joy without the physical consequences. Even if they felt that way about Fred's accomplisment, they probably wouldn't be browsing youtube for rs videos to spam and insult if they weren't bored out of their skull (I guess they need a life  ).
  4. Well since you're going to spend them on tabs anyways and the runs don't take any time, I would do laws. Basically just bring a dueling ring to bank, but that's about the only think I'd think you'll need other than the tabs and the essence.
  5. The first thing I need to know is: do you have the lunar spellbook? If you don't I would recommend getting it before doing ZMI runecrafting. Basically you just wear blk d'hide, weight reducing armour like boots of lightness, a good shield (I like sara book for prayer boost explained later) and an earth/lava/mud staff. Run through the short path with protect from range and steel skin/piety/chivarly and runecraft at the end (Altar at the begining right before the ladder). When you've runecrafted, cast teleport to the Ourania altar. At a lower rcing level such as yours, make sure to bring runes for 50-100 spare casts of that spell, because you aren't guarenteed to get all the runes everytime. You will also need a hell of a lot of fire runes for banking at the begining of the path, also make sure to use pure essence. Lastly, don't do it all at once, it takes a lot of concentration and you will get burned out after a few hours. So just buy the runes for a few levels, get them, and then come back in a few days. Good luck! (Sorry if I frogot anything :? ) EDIT: The guide ^ pointed out was the guide I first read on it, it's pretty good.
  6. So of my main combat stats my magic seems quite pathetic, and I think it's in need of a bit of training. Unfortunately it seems to me that it's in a "limbo" level, or a place between all of the most used levelling spells (Besides alching, I'll get to that). So I've thought up of several methods and I was hoping some people with a bit more experience than me could help quide me as to the best one. I am thinking of set my goal at level 80, so that's 5 levels. 1. Barraging/Bursting Rock Lobbies. Well, as Zaaps1 as said quite a lot recently, Barraging (Or in my case bursting, maybe not as worth it?) rock lobsters is the best method for training magic because you are gathering summoning, hp, and mage exp all in once go. I have a few problems with this method: a) I have about 2k crimson, 1.5k gold, 250 blue, and 500 green charms in my bank and want to use most of them before I get more, B) I have problems with the Waterbirth dungeon  , and c) while I have a bit of spare cash I have been saving up recently for some ranger boots and really don't want to spend TOO much leveling. 2. Alching. Well, I know about this method, and have done it a little. But a little change of pace would be appreciated, casting this spell to train is mostly the reason I hate training mage. And yes, I have that website with all the prices of items and costs of alching, not to worry :P . 3. Lunar time. This is the one I am considering most: Humidifying till 77, and then Superglass Make until 80. I know that neither of these are particularily fast exp, but the graphics are a change of pace and most importantly THEY PROFIT :o ! Plus a bit of crafting exp at the end is always appreciated. Any other methods would be appreciated and comments are welcome, thank you all : .
  7. ZMI definetly, that achievment diary is the only reason my rc is anything above 50 :P . Oh, and it's a better idea to get it to at least 62-63, a +6 boost is extremely rare to get, and if it drops even 1 level while you're getting all the runes in your inv you're screwed (Happened to me once, it's not a fun experience...). Anyways, best of luck with it, and if you need a method for ZMI just post back : .
  8. SS is only better than D Scim + Defender by 5-10k an hour, and that's powertraining. Along with only leaving you with 100k for anything you might need daily, this is a bad idea until you will have at least a mil left over. Even then, you should be fine doing str with a scimmy, that's what I did (I only got my SS at 86 str I think).
  9. Blocked: Steel Dragons - CBA to try them Iron Dragons - Same as Steels Hellhounds - Worst 100th task ever... Greater Demons - I'm just not a dog person... Skip: Kalphites - Workers are boring and I don't have a cannon :? Aquanites - till I feel I can justify spending either 3mil on a Z Spear or till I have 88 summoning, it's just not worth it Bloodvelds (If I feel like it) - Almost no good drops, very accurate attacks, and to top it of they're mage based -.- Any other task that I get too often Love: Wyverns, Black Demons and Black Dragons - Slow, but profitable and hey, they are the only task I get range exp for  Warped Terrorbirds and Gargoyles - I don't get why people hate them so much, but oh well :P Dagganoths - Fave task ever
  10. If you can't buy the pots, just buy the herbs. :? Regarding the seers ring: is it still max price or has it changed since you put the offer in? Last post and then I'm done :? [hide=Everything Prayer Pot Related]1. Prayer Potion (3) 2. Ranarr Potion (Unf) 3. Clean Ranarr 4. Grimy Ranarr 5. Ranarr Seed [/hide] As you can see everything is at it's peak, and everything is un-buyable. All graphs are 90-day, and to the OP I do hope that you get your Seer's Ring soon.
  11. If they are being merched, it's a fail because the pots are not keeping up with herb prices. I'm just sayin' - there's no way I sell cut rate pots - especially not prayer pots. And I doubt I am alone. You can't blame this on clans, though. It's like CampbellMC says, there's this supposition that the pots are supposed to cost less than the herbs - and that the only real value in potions is for the xp. The laws of supply & demand are crashing head on with the cockeyed notion that herblore should be a money loser. And I am laughing up my sleeve. But all of that has been true for months now, and prayer pots have only been unbuyable for a week or two (Or at least that's what I noticed, it may have been longer). There are usually enough lower levelled herblorist who both need the money fast and don't need the pots for higher end tasks or boss hunting to keep the market satisfied. But now...it's just all screwed up now...
  12. Or just kill the Scarabs in the pyramid from Missing My Mummy, very fast abeit crappy exp and pretty much no drops.
  13. If you took the evil route anyways  . Also make sure to keep the Blurite Sword if you were savy enough and kept one for yourself  .
  14. Let's examine that prayer pot remark: Clean ranarr - 12.3K Grimy ranarr - 11.7k Prayer potion (3) - 11.3k I could sell and lose about 400gp each or I could save the pots for my own use. I wouldn't sell the pots either - this is not rocket science and to blame a clan is just scapegoating. It makes no sense to sell at these prices. If I make any prayer pots nowadays, I hoard them like the treasures they are. I'm growing some ranarrs to make my own prayer pots as we speak, but I shouldn't have to grow my own herbs to make my own pots. The ge was made so that people could buy small amounts of useful items, be that raw materials or end products, the ge made buying things like pots, food, logs, herbs, ores, and bars much easier. Until merch clans screwed everything over and just made it an engine for fast profit at the cost of both convenience of the consumer and the wealth of the masses. And yes, I agree with you, and I have been saving up my prayer pots since they started being merched. But 2 waterfiends tasks in a row dried up my reserves and now I'm stuck for a while, this is the kind of situation that the ge was trying to solve.
  15. I disagree, it's pretty easy to find someone with 75+ crafting hanging around edgeville, and an inv of slayer rings can last you FOR MONTHS! (Depending on how you use them of course, if you use summona they will go by faster, and don't use summona without the rings). Oh, and always have at least ~100 or so points spare, even if you have your most hated tasks blocked they might assign a task that you just don't feel like doing (I'm looking at you, Bloodvelds...).
  16. He is offering advice. It is fine here. Thanks for the guide. I'll check it out. :P But its for offering Advice on questions that's been asked. Thats what i was told by a mod months ago any way. If you just give advice then i would call that some kind of guide. But oh well :wall: I agree, this is the same as a post a couple weeks ago where someone posted a guide as to why merching clans suck (Basically a you-tube video link, but it was a well-done video :P ). I think the reason it doesn't belong is that "all questions belong here."
  17. If it has a drop option it may be difficult/impossible to reclaim, but if it has a destroy option not only can you see where to reclaim it from but if it's useful (That's a fix I was hoping JaGeX would do this year, change it so most quest items have a destroy option instead of drop). EDIT: For Beads of the Dead someone said that they are unobtainable, but the Tip.It notes say: "This should be a good protection against Rashiliyia if you ever find her Tomb. Can be sold in Shilo Village to Yanni Salika for 1,000 gp at end of quest. If you lose or sell these you can buy them from Yanni Salika for 1200 gp." So drop them if they're taking up space.
  18. Just another example : 1. Random tab: Stuff I can't or don't feel like catagorizing, like full blakc armour for the warrior guild, black ink, or all the different defenders besides rune. 2. General Store/Crafting/Currency/Keyring: Moulds, Anything useful from the General Stores, Keys and my Keyig, plus Treasure Trail Hunting Stuff. Also I keep my Full Mourner there, kinda goes with the Color Scheme ;) . 3. Fishing/Cooking: Where I keep all my food plus fishing supplies (Rods, Feathers, and Bait) plus a few Stews and Spices from RFD. 4. Magic/Runecrafting: Runes, Staffs,Talismans, Tiaras, and all Non-Diary Teleportation Methods. 5. Farming/Herblore: Miscellanious Farming Supplies plus my Herb Seeds (Usually don't last too long) and my still Unused Spirit Seeds. Also all the pots that I keep to use, like anti-poisons and Super Sets are Here. 6. Wearable/Memorable Quest Items (Unusable): Basically all the armour that I use is at the bottom of this tab, and at the top are things like Full Jester, or the Octopus Hat from Hunt for Red Raktuber (Stuff that should be able to be put in my house :wall: ). 7. Pets/Summoning/Hunter: All my Hunter Traps, All my Pets (Until I Finally Get Around to Building my Menagerie), and all my Charms, Pouches, and Scrolls are Here.
  19. I smell a merching clan  , same reason I can't buy any ****ing prayer pots to do my abby specs task...
  20. Strength does level faster than other combat stats, not only does then aggressive style of attack get you faster exp (At the expense of getting hit more) but a max higher hit every few levels does mean that you are able to kill monsters faster. Attack is also faster to train than defence, because the more you level the more accurately you hit. Defence is the slowest to level, as your killing speed does not improve at all (Though you will save some food, but Strength and Attack do as well since you spend less time killing).
  21. Well, there is no requirement for the metal dragons, aside from cash. I can't promise that you'd break even though. You might end up at a huge loss, depending on how many casts you do, and how well you can hit at 72 magic. I've profited 2M in 30k casts, but I'm 96 magic. Also, don't you need 37 prayer for maging them for protect from magic? I know for sure that you would need 2 of the following: anti-fire shield, anti-fire potion, and/or anti-mage protection prayer. And also since you haven't done any quests you have to keep in mind that you can only use spells in the standard spell book. Imo, Camalot teleport is boring and costly as hell, but it is another option for you. You need anti-potion and anit-fire, or anti-fire/anti-shield and protect from mage. You can do it without pray. Since they said that they haven't done any quests, I don't think they have access to an anti-fire shield.

  23. Melee void is only good on tasks that require little to no defence, the best armour would be barrows (Or bandos, but I highly doubt that you should be getting that at your level). As for which set, torag's is good for absolute defence, verac's is good for the prayer bonus, and guthan's has decent defence plus the set effect to heal yourself. It would also help to know which master you are currently using, because summona is better in terms of cannonable tasks.
  24. It won't give any defence exp rewards, but it will require 80+ all combat stats :twss:. [/pure hating] No matter how epic the sequal to WGS will be, JaGeX will keep on creating more difficult quests, so I don't think there will ever be a "be-all, end-all" quest.
  25. Basically just a defrag for the game code :P , that might be a fix for a lot of potential bugs but if the player base would be significantly reduced because of down time it still wouldn't be worth it for JaGeX. OT: Very nice read, I never really doubted that the Q&A people know what they were doing (However, I am also one of the "smarter" people who waits for a bit after the update :D ).
