Best clue I ever did was a lvl 2 from pyrefiends which gave me ranger boots :P , just get it over with.
  2. Also, my recent bunch of wyvern slayer tasks has revealed that the new luring method is only neccessary in HD, it is still the same in SD as it was before Runetek 5. EDIT: I was wrong and the wyvern's are still harder to safe in SD, basically in their behavior they are just more unwilling to move north when confronted with the wall than before. This may have been the same as before but I am sure I don't remember failing to lure them as often as I have before the update.
  3. I might, but I want to keep the lioness theme, and I don't know what I would do if I can't just take the numbers off...
  4. Just a bit more advice on dragon hunting: you may also want to buy a Forthintry Bracelet from the ge and have that equipped in the wilderness, this will prevent the revenants from teleblocking you and allow you to escape quickly and without many problems.
  5. The Laurupia camouflage is also very useful, and you don't really need to be wearing anything else there so you may as well. And remember that if you can't buy the clothes you can buy the furs and the fancy dress maker will do the rest. Best of luck!
  6. I would have strongly recommended that you start out in F2P, things changed enough that you have plenty to do and keep you entertained for at least a week or two, if not for months. In mems there is sooooooooooo much that has changed that you will feel both overwhelmed and discouraged. There have been fundamental changes to the way that even combat works (Magic and range were created as independant combat methods, rather than supplementing melee) so you may want to read up on the changes here here.
  7. Buffs Jagex. Have mages be able to cast personal buffs on their robes (only works on robes) that will reduce melee damage as long as they have a staff equipped to constantly maintain the spell. The spell must be recast every few minutes. There, mages can now hold their own against melee, not give any bonuses to melee fighters and still be weak to ranged. Ahh rebalancing the combat triangle huh? : Jagex is too daft to think of that on their own. :wall: Seriously, Jagex needs to play some console RPGs to broaden their horizons on this kind of stuff. Yeah during Yiazmat in FFXII you quickly learn buffs are your friend but only if necessary. As the battle goes on it becomes necessary to cast less and less until you're only reviving people when they fall. Ahh good times. To hell with console RPG's, these guys need to play some good old fashioned tabletop games, you can't call yourself a nerd without playing them at least once :D . But they are more widespread among MMOs nowadays as well, and seems to be something else that WoW has that would be very useful (Although now that I think about this, don't some/most prayers do precisely this?).
  8. I am not sure if I am excited or apprehensive about this, if it gets rid of my ability to browse forums/do homework at some training spots I will be pissed, but if this is a fix to bandits or striking then it is by all means appreciated. I guess I am just suspicious of their definition of "afk"-training, what behavior that allows such training, and how they would/will change it.
  9. Those are the ones that I personally block, Mithril Dragons come in such small numbers they are honsetly a break from the grind, and scarabites can either be an amazing source of crimson charms or a fast task using the scarabs from Missing My Mummy. Really, it mostly comes down to the tasks you hate.
  10. Also I just got a wyverns task and as I try to safespot them (As I have done for a couple of tasks, thanks for the guide : ) they cannot be lured in nearly as easily. I'll post a pic soon showing what you have to do, but basically you have to run east after you get to the spot where you're going to stand to lure them in, or else they will just walk right past the safespot. Edit: Red is how you move to lure the wyvern, blue is the wyverns path when successfully lured, and green is the path to stand where it can be safespotted. The same basic principle aplies to the other side.
  11. Use the boot on the footprints near the watchtower, then follow those.
  12. dude shut up ppl are just trying to help him out, and yes my friend started with one with about the same number of charms and got to 68 He might have had the same number of charms, but probably not the same beginning level. Went ahead and assuming that you just got level 19 and will use the charms like the way listed below, you will hit 55 Summoning. The pouches which need to be made are: Make 58 of Spirit wolf Make 95 of Dreadfowl Make 126 of Spirit spider Make 17 of Granite crab Make 368 of Mosquito Make 77 of Void ravager Make 40 of Bronze minotaur Make 70 of Bull ant Make 60 of Macaw Make 122 of Evil turnip Make 117 of Pyrelord Make 260 of Bloated leech Make 13 of Spirit terrorbird Make 28 of Magpie Make 268 of Abyssal parasite Make 9 of Spirit jelly The way described above is not the way you should take either, 368 mosquito pouches would cost over a million gp in seconds alone, not to mention void ravagers being highly inefficient. But yes, you will probably get into the low 50's, maybe the mid 50's if you're lucky.
  13. ya...i know i have pretty much eliminated all the good money makers...but is there one that i missed? or are tere better ways to some stuff? i know i probanly dont do barrows very effectivly (sp?) You could either do the quests to do barrows and start doing that, just train slayer and to get some more money on the side do herb farming runs and MTK, get used to camping and do that at tzhaar or aviantese, or powerlevel to be able to do bosses effectively (If you do that at armoured zombies then you will gain a little bit of cash as well). Really you're asking for a method of money making that is combat related with low level reqs and a low boredom factor; that's some pretty high standards, and even if a method like that existed it would be crowded beyond all belief.
  14. Personally I would go with one, because it has been proven that the defender gives better exp/hour than a DFS, plus the fact that you kill monsters faster means you take less damage overall. Although there is probably a better use of your money (I got bandos when it was around 20-25mil but I still love it ), but if you're just going to keep on training the DFS is not necessary or even preferable.
  15. Also I realize that I hate kaphites with a burning passion. I don't have a cannon and the workers bore the hell out of me plus have absolutely no drops. I also haven't been to Aquanites, but because of my nub mage level I'm guessing that they would own me hard. Other than that it's mostly not about the task, but how often I get them in a row/loop.
  16. You just have to wait a while for it to load (If you really want to see it that badly  ).
  17. Are willows the best log to cut experience wise with the log boost thingy? I'm pretty sure teaks are technically better, though willows are in places closer to teleports so that means less time wasted getting there. Just bring a games necklace for the Barbarian Outpost teleport and you should be ready to powercut immedietly after you get the reward.
  18. The Tip.It constuction guide located here has an intro which tells you how to get level 10, or at least to get the first few levels.
  19. http://www.clintonio.com/sigs/folders/Avatar/ That's the site that I use for my avvy, and I learned about it through Zaaps from another thread.
  20. http://www.scape-xp.com/runescape-high-alchemy.html Enjoy :
  21. Here's a thread I created a while ago, it gives some good methods (Just don't bump it please ;) ). Magic Training Method
  22. It's called the ignore list :o [/sarcasm] Really though, as long as they are not interfering with what you are doing (In this case your method of money-making) you can just take in the satisfaction that they are wasting their lives using an inferior method of money making! Meanwhile I shall be here, drinking in the fact that you are wasting your time in an MMO
  23. Noobs say the funniest things!
  24. *Spartan kick* Sorry, I was sooo many places I could use that today...moving on however. this part made me lol
