you only do c1 rushes? that sounds like horrible xp.
-
I would highly recommend not binding any ammo unless you have a hexhunter. laws or celestial surgebox are both much more useful. you're 83 runecrafting so i recommend the surgebox.
-
you can unbind, but the item gets destroyed. but you keep your bind slot. and it's 1 item + 1 ammo at any level 2 items + 1 ammo at lvl 50 3 + 1 ammo at lvl 100 and 4 + 1 ammo at lvl 120 dg

Wilderness and Free Trade Interview!!! - Answers On First Post!
Grimy_Bunyip replied to n_odie's topic in General Discussion
Have you reached a decision on how to implement extreme potions in the wilderness? Approximately, what percentage of Jagex employees supported/did not support the return to the old wilderness and free trade? How will forinthry bracelets work in the new wilderness? How will colored whips, infinity robes, and dark bows drop from kills if at all? How will loaned items work in the wilderness? Many resources in the wilderness are outdated. Originally, the wilderness was the only place to mine rune ores. One of the few places with numerous coal/mithril/adamant ore spawns. But most of these resources, save a few exceptions such as green dragons, have become outdated are there any plans to bring back incentives to skill in the wilderness aside from brawling gloves? -
yes it is, but you could pie it starting at lvl 75 agility. one is 120k xp/hour for ~900k xp (wildy) other is 90k xp/hour for ~1200k xp you're essentially getting 300k additional xp in 5.83 hrs assuming you never get PKed in the wildy. thats about 51k xp/hour? so i actually don't completely agree with the result in the brawler guide. But it's a close toss up if you're not close to advanced courses.
-
didn't someone prove that it's better to be used on the dorgeshuun course? I think the calculations are in the brawlers guide in the general guides section. of course this may be based on an existing xp rate, and that may depend from person to person.

nothing really drops them consistently. aberrant spectres or dagannoths would be your best bets? but both are bad ideas to camp, you should just buy them. it's not like looting the seeds yourself prevents you from losing money when you plant the seeds.

any quick ways to pick out Jmod posts?
Grimy_Bunyip replied to Grimy_Bunyip's topic in Help and Advice
bingo, this is perfect. -
Most RS players don't have anything useful to say. only thing I'd ever want go to the RSOF, is for the occasional Jmod confirmation. is there a quick way to do this? without writing your own application to trawl the forums for you?

you must be the 4th person to ask this in the last week you guys should really check the guides section :P http://forum.tip.it/topic/280097-wip-data-gathering-project-effigy-guide-soon/

can't you replenish your ammo box by just logging out and back in? If so, it's not practical in room clearing due to breaking door gates. but perfectly practical for bosses because presumably you won't really need any door binds lying around. either way it's not like running out of ammo is a bad thing. It just means you put your surgebox to good use. anyways if you have 2 surgers in the room clearing team, then ammo becomes a non-issue. i'd rather have the lesser overkill loss

Neither of those can be true. Today I got 100k magic xp getting me from 98-99 magic. My gloves went from 100% - 93%. Since they aren't at 80%, the gloves can't last for only 500k xp. Also since 98*1000 is 98k and my gloves aren't at 99%, the second theory isn't correct either. i think he misspoke and meant 500k boosted xp.

please oh please let it only be agility, thieving, hunter, mining, fishing, and woodcutting support :D

that's if you solo, but in multi he'll swap targets too often (and wander inbetween).. Besides in teams luring isn't as easy as it sounds, a combo is deadly (he's terribly accurate, so 2 hits + ranger/mager on you = you're dead). they won't be able to switch targets if you lure properly. a competent team + good lure makes blaster ring unnecessary for the trio team. but it only takes 1 randomer to trample the lure to make it worthless, so it's up to you.
-
Just to add to that: I found the blaster also very usefull.. T10 makes you don't need to have bind runes to "bind" the skelletal trio melee hero. (And the attack speed reduction is quite massive for things like demons). blaster is useful, but I wouldn't use it on anything that isn't a boss, just because DPS is the most important thing. The other thing is blaster is 100% useless on warped floor bosses. you safespot dreadnaut/hope blink and gulega are bad to mage might work on world gorger, but I still wouldn't mage it. and kalger is immune to blaster ring. Neither bind nor attack speed reduction will work on him.
-
tactician ring is 100% useless btw T10 berserker is a must. T10 desperado or blitzer is recommended depending on whether you get a surgebox or hexhunter. T10 gatherer, I use when keying because I don't have a primal baxe bind. Mostly a personal preference I'd recommend T10 tank only if you key, and you dont mind shield-weapon switching or just binding a baxe.

u realize u get the drop even if u don't deal most damage right? ;)

Analysis: Ely vs Div in a PvM Setting
Grimy_Bunyip replied to TheAncient's topic in General Discussion
the calculations were meant to give an idea of how rounding error affects divine. Ultimately the amount of LP saved and extra prayer expended for divine and elysian is the primary factor. It's just silly of you to propose all these extreneous factors and claim that they somehow disprove other calculations. My point remains the same either way. You have yet to contribute anything nontrivial to this thread green. Anybody can point out obvious details. If I wanted someone to do that for me I'd go ask a 6 year old. If you can't provide data, non-trivial calculations, etc. You know, anything that is in low supply. You're just being a waste. -

Analysis: Ely vs Div in a PvM Setting

math is invalid because it doesn't account for all the details? math never accounts for all the details. People use it anyways though. Because it's useful even if it doesn't account for all the details. stop trolling, you have no idea what you're talking about. It's invalid because it doesn't even scratch the surface of what the advantage of a divine is. It's like doing math proving that you can get more rocktails per hour fishing than dragon claws per hour killing TDs, and then concluding that fishing for cash is at least as good as TDs based on that, completely ignoring the prices of the items. Divine's advantage is not its superior healing per slot- that's a really small part of it. If your math takes only that into account, you've entirely missed the point. Your rocktail-dclaw analogy is out of the ball park. Look, math can rarely provide a perfect model. Assumptions were listed with the calculation. so you can do one of the following: a) improve on the calculations b) use the model in a way that compensates for its weaknesses and assumptions c) interpret the results in a way that give intuitive value. You've accomplished none of the above. So the bottom line is nothing you said thus far is constructive. -

Analysis: Ely vs Div in a PvM Setting

TheAncient has a scalar result, which might not be a great indicator. Because a scalar result depends on another property (in this case the # of inventory slots dedicated to brews/potions) presumably Warlock came up with a Scalar output as well. furthermore it's worth noting that that rounding error favors the elysian. Because the the amount of prayer removed, for the health saved is rounded up. so if you get hit for 4 LP, and the divine reduces it to 3 LP, you still lose 1 prayer point from my understanding (can't say for sure, I don't own a divine) assuming this to be true, and assuming nex's magic attacks deal anywhere from 1 to 369 damage, each damage point being equally likely (which also may or may not be true, she might have a min damage boost for all we know) you take on average 185.0 damage per accurate hit without either shields 130.0 with divine per accurate hit 152.9 with elysian per accurate hit and on average you lose 3.25 prayer points per accurate hit with a divine. So now, lets see. You have 58 inventory slots in a nex trip. lets say you bring for the no divine/elysian setup. 2 overloads 5 super prayers 10 super restores 1 antipoison 1 unicorn pouch unicorn scroll stack d claws 1 teleport 2 spec restores 34 brews also assume no pernix for the moment. with a divine, you'd have the same benefit of 34 brews with 23.88 brews. but it would cost you 1.29 super restores(4) so divine frees up an extra 8.83 inventory slots for you. now assume no pernix, with elysian you'll have the benefit of 34 brews with 25.57 brews. but it wouldn't cost you extra potions. so the elysian frees up 8.43 inventory slots for you. as you can see, once you factor in the rounding error with the assumptions I used above, you find that the margin between divine and elysian is even smaller. Granted divine is still better. Always. Having pernix favors elysian over divine, as you the ratio of prayer points you can restore per inv slot, vs HP per inv slot diminishes. but my calculations still indicate that even with pernix, divine is still always better. But by margins even smaller than the 0.4 inventory slots I just calculated for you. of course less brewing = more damage output. This consideration is not factored into such a calculation, and it would favor the divine. and of course this is based on the assumptions I made above, which may or may not be true due to lack of nex data. but uh yeah. I'm pretty sure rounding error exists. and that it favors elysian. another assumption I made, that favors elysian, is that I assumed the extra prayer needed would be replaced by super restores. This may not be accurate as if you brewed less, you wouldn't need as many super restores and could just bring super prayer potions. anyways yeah I'm not gonna think about it too hard. I can't afford full pernix + divine as it is for nex. And the simple fact of the matter is, I'd rather have a pernix top + elysian shield than just a divine if it boiled down to getting either or. Oh: yet another assumption that this calculation makes: there do not exist decimal prayer points. Once again, I don't own a divine, so I can't test it. SORRY. but ultimately the calculation I did highly favors the elysian. And the divine is still always better, even with full pernix etc. the calculation just points to the difference being marginal. bottom line is the difference between ely and divine at nex is on the order of half a potion. -

fletching broad ammo unlocks the sale of the unfinished ammo from shops doesn't it? if so, i'd recommend doing that first to start profiteering.
