  1. Agreed. Everyone has their own goals in the game, and a 99 is a very concrete goal that many people want. Jagex intended it to be like that, it's the whole reason they added capes in the first place.
  2. Yup, I've had a whole stack of eggs in my BA before, mostly from Miscellania.
  3. That would be a HUGE update, but it might be needed if Jagex plans to keep adding skills.. The interface is a bit cluttered already. Remember when we didn't have to scroll down to see the bottom row?
  4. I'm voting for Dragon as the base drop for elite clue scrolls. Helms and plates would of course be some of the rarest drops, and longswords/daggers etc pretty common.
  5. It'll take ALOT of dungeoneering to get both, but if I ever decide to level it I'll probably go for both. Just from the looks standpoint, I'd probably want the rapier first.
  6. I don't check my ranks at all since I know they probably suck, but I assume I'm one of the richest players. I wish they had a hiscore for total wealth so I would actually know my ranking in that perspective.
  7. Jagex is a company, they can't be irresponsible about a real-life event. I'm sure they'll do their best to work it all out.
  8. Just the standard thing every company does at some point or another, I expected them to try it long ago.
  9. Even though I barely watch sports, I have to admit football is a bit more boring then soccer. Soccer involves continuous movement, 99% of football games are timeouts, false starts, etc etc.. The best you get is about 45 seconds of activity at one time.
  10. Seventy five pounds isn't that much for any kind of one-time convention. I've gone to concerts that cost more. Personally, I'd be pretty into it if I was in the UK - I'd love the chance to actually meet some of the developers.
  11. Or maybe add some other variable: run speed! This would allow for kiting, which actually IS the advantage of using ranged skills.. Then kiting naturally becomes better vs melee (yet not so much vs range, if the initial range of the mage is lower than a ranger he doesn't have advantage of his faster run speed) I've always thought run speed would be interesting, and make agility worth it. With resting the stamina boost is worth nothing.
  12. Knew it would come eventually. Unfortunately, I can;t wield it, but it'll be interesting to see what it does to the PvP scene.
  13. From my experience this does usually happen in the mid summer due to increased supply and steady demand (more low levels playing, not that many more high levels using the materials). It'll be back up to normal by september, so I've stocked up 100M or so worth of materials to forget about until then.
  14. Looks like an excellent update, I look forward to trying out the ballistas. I've been hoping for something like that for awhile!
  15. They considered something similar in considering private servers, but they decided against it for marketing reasons. They make plenty as it is.
  16. Probably either a redundant delay to make sure you're fully logged off or a measure to stop people from hopping worlds too fast (though why they want to is a different question).
  17. Wow, a fury is 13m now? I should have kept then 200 I had 5 monthes ago :o I'd suggest you go cheap on the boots, gloves, ammy, etc and spend a good lump on a weapon (most important, maybe a sara sword) and a chestplate (Dragon plate?)
  18. It IS possible to snipe a purple from the GE, I've done it twice. To buy on the street, however, you need to get your hands on some street valuables like royal crowns, etc, and trade up to a purple.
  19. They wouldn't crash so soon. Spirit sheilds are the best sheilds in game, and you have to be a decent level or have high lsp just to get one. Spectral is super useful at arma, arcane is usefull at bursting lobs/DK maging. Elysian removes 25% of the damage 70% of the time, and divine removes 30% of the damage all the time. Hard to get really owned with that bonus. I see them as similar to Godswords - they won;t crash for awhile, but when it comes it will be big.
  20. Interesting list. I don't really see myself there, I spend all my time in RS either merchanting, playing castlewars, or talking in clan chats or the Grand Exchange about merchanting, flipping, and investing. I guess I'm kind of unique :P
  21. It's possible that they may start a long-term drop soon - if you notice the last wave peaked UNDER the average, which hasn't happened for months - I think what happens with the next price wave will decide what the price trends to over the next few weeks.
  22. Invest some in a good weapon for training, and use the rest to merchant/flip/invest to bring in more cash!
  23. Some guys on my merchanting forum saw this as well, it happens if you do a force-teleport while holding an item. Jagex will probably remove all the items from the game after they patch it, I'd be careful about using smuggled items for too much training or they could ban you.
  24. We shouldn't consider this as people "paying" for an item. They're paying to go to RuneFest, the item is just a side benefit. I dount anyone will go just for the banner.
  25. I dount they want inflation, it'a a bad thing in every way. They have been adding money sinks, but not enough - Coinshare is a money sink, but things like PVP cash rewards GREATLY outweigh it.
