  1. You and everyone else. :boohoo: I wish that violin was much, much smaller. The melodramatic media pushes all the negatives, you aren't going to hear about a stable business, or a stable town, or a stable house. You aren't going to hear about good progess in an everyday life. I'm not just talking about news, I'm also discussing T.V shows, Movies, and just about every other outlet possible.
  2. Individual storage might be good, but I wish Jagex would spend less time developing things that you looked at once and never looked at again, like summoning "pets" and these costume rooms. Ultimately, if it has little relevance to gameplay, it will be neglected.

Then why is it any more worth it for non-wildy clues? The wilderness isn't dangerous if you know what you're doing. That is why I clarified "at least if you have trouble with revs". If you have trouble with revs, then you might be risking a lot more cash than the clue is worth.
  4. Well, you do have a point in the fact that a person can go pretty much anywhere and not need to come prepared with a teleport in case things get ugly. At the same time, it saves precious inventory in some places that are relatively inconvenient to get to and therefore you need to come with as much of your inventory available for supplies rather than a teleport as possible (Barrows and Aviansies are two that I personally never bring teleports with me to unless I'm only going to be there less than 30 minutes (which is rare)). Although it would be an annoyingto have to use up inventory space, it would not make it impossible to do barrows or aviansies. In addition, you can sacrifice very small stats bonuses and bring a Slayer Ring, or Ring of Dueling to get to a bank.If I forgot to bring pray pots to barrows, I don't have a feature that supplies infinate prayer points just in case I forget. That is a more extreme example, but it did remove the element of "getting lost" or at least the idea that you need to bring a teleport along in order to teleport.
  5. No, and they should not have to be pardoned. They did nothing wrong. If they did do anything wrong, then political leaders should be taking the hit, not operatives who were following orders. The CIA has confirmed that the torture saved lives. The CIA confirmed that the torture prevented a major attack on L.A I care very little about the feelings of religious nutcases who think they have the right to kill thousands of people becasue some book said so. I have my beliefs, but I would never kill someone because I read that it was a cool idea in a book. I care even less about "America's image abroad". Lives were in danger. I put lives on a higher priority of importance than nonsensical political consistency. right wing rant>
  6. I personally believe that the Home teleport DID degrade gameplay. The Home Teleport was not a gameplay innovation. They can add any teleport to anywhere at anytime. It did remove a difficulty, however. A difficulty that was not just an annoyance, like the inability to drop your entire inventory, but a real gameplay problem.
  7. Sometimes, when someone talks too much, I will talk back, hoping to distarct them from the fight. It rarely works, but sometimes as my health falls, a person will get too excited about killing me and forget to look at their own health.
  8. No profits, no balance, no nothing. The game rides entirely on demand for skillcapes.

Revs are very easy to beat. They are nothing compared to the old wildy PKers. On top of that, why go into the wildy to get some firelighters, a rune dagger, and 35 fire runes? Clues arent worth going into the wildy for, at least if you have trouble with revs.
  10. Many peopole have multiple accounts because they make the mistake of training their accounts past 70 defense. If you do that, your account is effectively ruined as far as PVP is concerned untill you reach 99 in all melee stats, and either range or mage.
  11. The Political Compass Economic Left/Right: 9.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.21 Not going to bother with picture. I guess i'm just a little libertarian.
  12. Yeah, I don't see why they have the "slash" and "stab" and the like. The system isn't used for anything except Waterfiends anyway, everything else is slash. It should just say "attack xp", "defence xp", or "strength xp"

Not sure, he was either insulting himself for using eugenics from a book or trying to make fun of me in an obscure and anti-intellectual way from another unrelated, old, and locked thread. That being said, it was still flaming :? I never advocated eugenics in my post. Have you forgotten what "eugenics" is? I was using the situation to imply that you cant tell the difference between reality and a book/game, based on that "old" thread. Now that the record is set straight, goodbye.
  14. TheDayRsDied replied to Recksash's topic in Rants
I don't remember anyone saying Jagex needed to refund the items here or stuff needs to be changed. If I read the thread correctly, it's about people saying "it's just pixels" when the pixels represent time invested. I like how people use the Runescape Vs Real Life, as if time spent on Runescape is fake life. Let's ban TheDayRsDied, then steal his online info (credit card, soc security number, etc) and go buy some expensive stuff. Everything was on the internet, so by your logic had no effect on the real world, and you should get over it pretty fast. You need a de-trolling. Sure wish that was relevant. Guess you're an advocate of eugenics, amirite? You're the most "immature flamer" here. Soley for the sake of setting the record straight, I am not an advocate of eugenics. I was referring to a thread hyjacked by compfreak, in which he advocated it. Now some nonsense just to make this post relevant to the topic: I am annoyed when people say that it isn't just about pixels. The entire game is nothing but a fictional world. Fictional worlds are not real. Real worlds are not fictional.
  15. TheDayRsDied replied to Recksash's topic in Rants
Immature: Thinking and responding in a manner which indicates short sightedness and lack of understanding for long term consequences. Flaming: To insult or criticize angrily (Generally over the computer or another electronic medium). Neither of those have anything to do with the subject at hand, so I can only assume you threw then out as generic insults without knowing what they meant. That would count as inadvertent flaming (while bringing up an interesting circle of stupidity), but unless it was secretly ironic I doubt it was intentional. You ignored everything im my post relevent to the topic and proved that I misused two words. Instead of letting you turn this into one of your 6 page meat runs, i'll just avoid this topic right now.
  16. TheDayRsDied replied to Recksash's topic in Rants
People who are annoyed by that phrase need to see a specialist. You died in a viedo game, therefore your life is ruined, and Jagex needs to take the time to refund your items, or take out a huge portion of the game just because you don't like it. "immature flamers" are usually people who don't have any concept of real life vs. virtual/fictional life. The type of people who go around advocating eugenics because they read about it in a book and it seems like a cool idea.
  17. Well, I guess that's another reason not to care about it. Your reason to justify completely senseless whining? I wish I would NOT have said this in a topic that was complaining about the rubber chicken. It would have been easier to justify. however, it is a major holiday event, and it could be something of a concern for a number of people.
  18. First of all you are making the mistake assuming that people know how to read. I think that there are a number of people around here who don't know the definition of the word "rant", or aren't aware that this is the "rants" forum. They also will likley have an extremely melodramatic response to anything they disagree with, especially if you say it with a strong tone, becasue they just don't know what a rant is, and they don't expect to see a rant when they come to the rants forum. And if you are a RSC player, why do you care about a rubber chicken? You have party hats, santa hats, holloween masks, easter eggs, and lots of other rares.
  19. I think it is truly pathetic that people actually still think that they are being BOLD by criticising religion. They think that they are doing some kind of incredible, cutting-edge thing that has never been done before. Attacking religion is not fighting any "establishment". That old establishment was destroyed long ago. The status quo is firmly anti-religion. Repeating a process of slamming religion that has been followed thousands of times by thousands of authors and film producers is not "bold". I don't understand how repeating an opinion in a book that has been written and re-written thousands of times is cutting-edge. I remember when stating a common opinion and being praised by every newspaper and news channel in the world wasn't considered particulary bold. People like Bill Maher and Richard Dawkins need to have their egos deflated, because there is nothing bold or amazing about what they do. They don't even introduce any new facets or insight to the discussion, like Christopher Hitchens. They challenge nothing. They just do the old "I hate god" routine and wait for the cash and the medals to flow in. Hopefully I won't get involved in any other political/ religious posts here.
  20. I went though half of this topic thinking that the people who were discussing "The Game" were referring to playing RS without really paying attention.
  21. If you add a new feature, people will level delibrately to get it, if it is worth it. If you make a very high level prayer like that, The prayer ranks won't remain like you intend them to. People will delibrately train to get it, thousands more will have high-level prayer, and thosands will be able to lower prices for high value items.
  22. How much does a Guild Wars subscription cost? Honestly, it's just sad to see this happening, though it was probably inevitable.
  23. In terms of cash value, Whips, Dragon boots, Black masks, and Dark bows, through Slayer. In terms of rarity, probably an Abyssal head.
