The Reasons Behind Melee Overpower~Indepth~
Melee isn't overpowered. It is the weakest side of the combat trangle.

God Swords? Why just God Swords?
Yeah, ags is useful. Well, it is really a spec weapon, so only for pvp. And also, it is 67m, so only if it is a safe minigame. And castle wars is crowded with low levels anyway so it really isn't necessary there. And, actually, that is the case with most safe minigames, so my conclusion is that the AGS (or any other GS for that matter) is useful for Billionares who, in spite of the fact that they carefully made all that money through years of merching, are willing to risk 67 milllion at a time. In other words, AGS is useful for about .0001 percent of the RS population. Get an Abyssal Whip. If you buy it from me, it is twice as powerful as a normal whip.

27th February - Temporary Closure of Bounty Hunter Craters
What's your solution? OWNED  It's not my job to figure out how Jagex should enforce their rules. Thats their job. That is how it works in just about every other MMORPG online. They made BH for the purpose of forcing PKing into a small area that was easy to control. They then restricted it heavily, but they failed. My solution to to leave the game if BH has a trade limit. I will be replaced by another 9-year-old who doesn't miss something he never had. I am not a game developoer, I don't work for Jagex. I am someone who plays games, and I will go find a game that can enforce rules. RuneScape is the only mmorpg where the problem is so severe that the game is put in danger of shutting down.

mining, don't do it- waste of time
You think you're so smart that you can insult people's intelligence? Firemaking is a processing skill and it is not on the same level as mining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now who's the stupid idiot? It is broken, by the way. Just because it's profitable doesn't mean its not broken. Wcing yews earn a lot of money for a skill that requires only 60 wc. Ok rune mining earns more but it needs 85 MINING for goodness's sake. At lvl 45 or something, training mining can only get you at MAX about 10k exp per hour powermining iron ore. Wcing, i got from level 44-48 in about 1 and a half hour. Could you please provide sources for your numbers? I'm particularly worried that you think yews are good money and 45 mining maxes at 10k exp an hour. Actually, 10k is high. When I powermined mining for quest requirements, I would go from iron rock to iron rock, dropping ores. At 50 mining I actually hoped for 10k mining xp/hr and rarely got it.

27th February - Temporary Closure of Bounty Hunter Craters
If Bounty Hunter comes back with trade limits, I'm done with this game. The fact that one very small area of the game cannot be monitored shows that Jagex is hopless at enforcing policy. I'll play a game with management that does not make its customers pay for their failures or moral agendas. As for the suggestion to kill RWTers, its already painfully obvious when a RWT is taking place. No one does it. That probably has some thing to do with the fact that they are aiming to play the game, not enforce Jagex's unenforced rules and policies.

Bring in the "µ" Hammerban!
Why would you ban them? :twss: Can't you see? They didn't enter these codes because they were a bunch of rotten low-lifes who wanted to have fun at everyone's expense, they entered these codes becasue they are VICTIMS. Victims of a socitey that encourages this. I don't think they should be banned, I think we should use this as a teaching opportunity, and give them MEDALS for teaching us the important lesson of blah blah blah. Ban them. Ip Ban them. Block them from even reading/entering the website. No refunds of their remaining credits.

25th February 2009-Random Event Update and More
Another excellent update. I like these updates that do not necesarily add new content, but help improve gameplay.

New Skill.... Sailing?
They need to update existing skills, not push new ones. The skills are getting more bizarre with each release. And, I can't believe im even wasting my time with this, but why would they have one new row rammed in at the bottom for a new skill, especially when in game databases are often still incorrect YEARS after a feature has already been released? For example, NPC contact is said to require Dream Mentor to use, but I use it all the time and have never done Dream Mentor.

Swing and a miss...
Why make a town busy just for the sake of making a town busy? It would be much better to place it in a town with a bank, in an area convienient for players to reach.

why are people too stupid to hop when dungeon is full?
He doesn't want to play stupid minigames, or do annoying quests with people who are often rude and uncooperative, and therefore he is anti-social? He can play the game however he likes, and it is nonsense to describe some pretty common attitudes as anti-social. I don't like most minigames, and I know that the hero's thing was just an inconvienience to everyone, not any kind of breakthrough in gameplay. I still recieve PM's form random people begging me to help them with it.

Duradel and me
Just a major warning there, I did The Path Of Golphrie when it came out 2 years ago, and I did not recieve a Terrorbird task untill last month. I quit only between spring of 07 untill the summer and from December of 07 untill last November. Otherwise I have played at least every other weekend, and at least 50% of that time was spent doing slayer. While most examples probably won't be that extreme, doing quests does not assure that you will get a new task very rapidly. You really just have to put up with the tasks you don't like.(If you want to stay on the smoking kills camel-cash system that everyone seems to love so much)

The Great Ring Of Wealth Experiment(Method updated[Step3&4])
There is data in Zarfot's slayer guide that shows that the ROW increases the chances of getting a Whip by an almost statsically insignificant amount, and actually reduces the chances of getting a mid level Dragon Drop to almost zero. There were a total of about 14,000 kills, 7,000 with ROW, 7,000 without. THIS IS NOT ZARFOT'S OWN INTERPRETATION OF HIS RESULTS. THIS IS MY INTERPRETATION OF THE NUMBERS I SAW. IN HIS GUIDE, HE CONSIDERS THE NUMBER OF KILLS YOU SAVE TO BE WORTH IT, AND NOTES THAT THIS WAS ONLY ONE TRAIL.

why are people too stupid to hop when dungeon is full?
Oh, I understand your rant completely. I mean, when I am cannoning kalphites, using super sets, and Superhuman Strength, someone shows and up I literally STEAL HIS KILLS and he still doesn't scoot. Then all of these bizarre yellow symbols appear over his head, and I really don't know what is going on. Almost like it is trying to communicate with me, or something. What does it take? Why won't these people leave? [/end ignorant, rude, vicious, caveman-like, kill-or-be killed rant]

PMods - Purpose or Status?
IMO, player mods are completely worthless. Whenever I am around a player mod, they don't seem to be making any effort to enforce any rules or anything, and actually seem to be detached form other players and the discussion, often ignoring everyone. And with reports of hacked mod accounts, abuse of mod powers, and countless whiny 10-year-olds crying for mod privliges, IMO, having player mods is not worth the trouble. The benefits do not outstrip the disadvantages.

Duradel and me
I block Hellhounds. No drops, and they are no better xp than most other tasks. Also, they are constantly crowded. Your level is 68, so Duradel's best tasks (Nechs, Gargoyles, Abyssals, Spiritual Mages) are all only unlocked at a higher slayer level. I think the only good task you get is the Spectres. I don't see what you have against Fire Giants, though.

Are parent too harsh on Jagex? or misunderstood?
Agreed. I think people with names and reputations get away with stuff that would earn a random person a ban.

mining, don't do it- waste of time
"the most profitable f2p skill there is" Well, grats on being the tallest person in a room full of......people who aren't tall? Sounds kind of like "Dragon is the best non-degradeable armor." When you take away the f2p element, mining isn't so impressive. In members you could make around 7 million in about 12 hours. And anyway, it may be a little good for f2p, but you really don't need much money in f2p. About 400k and you have the best equipment you can get in terms of stats. But Dragon ISN'T the best non-degradable armor. By a long shot, actually, so your comparison is invalid. It's more like saying mining is the best money maker in f2p, and ONE of the best money makers in p2p. In fact, if you like making upwards of 800k-1000k per hour with little to no work, mining just might be what you're looking for. This is excluding merching, of course. What was your argument again? well, you didn't actually adress it, and you made up a nonsensical figure for rune profit. I'll let you look for it. If you didn't understand my armor comparison, it was pointing out that the "Non - Degradable' handicap was irrelevant, becasue it is just used to avoid discussion of barrows, which is superior to all non-degradeable armor, unless you are doing PvM with prayer pots or something.

I have read all of your soapboxes, and frankly, this follows your hysterical pattern of comparing in-game situations to real life events. You have just compared getting hacked in runescape to RAPE. None of those scenarios are in any proper context to this situation, and you know they aren't. Grow up. You are just as melodramatic and immature as the people you are attacking. There is such a thing as personal responsibility in this world, however much you and others who think like you want to pretend there isn't. And you clearly don't go to the RSOF if you actually think that this site is ANYTHING like that piss hole.

Soul Wars Worry
Soul wars is what a minigame is supposed to be- a fun alternative to training that does not replace the skill itself. The rewards are below average xp for Slayer, Summoning, and all combat skills concerned. You have nothing to worry about.

Are parent too harsh on Jagex? or misunderstood?
No sympathy for them whatsoever. Disgust would be a much better word. They choose to give money to criminals for illegal stealing. The only sympathy I have is for the child who is being raised by people who have no respect for the law. Jagex should ban his IP adress for RWTing. What do these losers expect, a consolation prize for cheating? They act like they are somehow entitled to something when they broke the law. They should be embarrassed, not angry. The word "pathetic" does not even begin to describe this video. I bet they are with lawyer, a publicist, and a PR expert right now, trying to squeeze as much money as they can out of the situation. Even more sad is how Jagex is made out to be the enemy for not protecting cheaters and criminals. Jagex is excessive in its enforcement of RWT rules, and its protection of idiots like these people. The problem is not caused by gold farmers, but by gold BUYERS. They create a market for the gold, because they are such sad, pathetic excuses for human life that they have to cheat on a VIDEO GAME to win. They can't even honestly win in a game. [/end unreasonable, uncaring, ignorant, over-the-top rant]

What Annoys You the Most on RuneScape?
Scum parents who allow their scum kids to break the law. And RWTers in general. But if you talk about actual gameplay, I would have to say Wild Pie and Slayer's respite(m). Both should just be removed from the game forever.

mining, don't do it- waste of time
Double astrals/cosmics? Well, thats interesting, but it doesn't disprove the point. Green Dragon slaying beats practically every high level skill in money making, even ones that require an extreme levle of dedication to get. And anyone can walk into the wildy and start killing them whenever they feel like it. Someone can spend hundreds of hours training their mining to 85, but they will still get only a fraction of the profit of Green Dragons. I think that is nonsense. You can thank the crafting skillcape for that situation.
