I have 91 slayer. I have been training slayer for 3 years. This is what I have found in my experience:Slay points are stupid. They are a complete waste of time. The only reason people use them is becasue they are too afraid to drop them.

Slayer points: 1.Deal with Steel dragons every task, Get slayer Helm 2. Deal with Steel dragons/hellhounds, get slayer Ring 3.Deal with Steel dragons/hellhounds, get bad monsters blocked. 4. Deal with Steel dragons/hellhounds every task, build a pool of 150 points to block other bad tasks 5. Dump them, never use again. Seriously, Duradel really hates giving good tasks. It is a miracle when he gives something othr than Steel Dragons, Irons, or Black Demons or greater deamons, or hellhounds. If you look at his task list low exp / unprofitable tasks outnumber good ones almost 3 to 1. If you take the usual bad task for the runes, you are just wasting your time, bc you can make a lot more than 35k(about half of the death reward) on a good task. The solution is to burthrope these bad tasks. That will bring your exp up, your profit up, everything will get better. It will seem like magic just how smoothly things run when you quit wasting your time on slayer points. A turel task takes 10-15 mins tops. Just stop wasting your time on these overrated points. Just bc something is new does not mean it is good.

"Honor duels" is a concept that dates back to the Coliseum, and amazingly enough the fighters who believed that drivel in those were just as uneducated as the "honor pkers" are today, as their gullibility to believe in an honor system and their ultimate death was a show of entertainment to the educated spectators. Waste as much money as possable?If you waste an invertory full of sharks you aren't gaining anything. On top of all of that, eating does not change anything about a situation. The very first line of my post says that I do not follow any honor codes. I can break the phrase "I don't follow any honor codes" down for you if it just isn't clear enough. In my first resonse I never said that I expect anyone to follow honor codes. If you are willing to waste 27k on food because you go into a PVP world knowing that you can't win, then go ahead. You are just one more unsellable magic ammy I get to pick up off the ground. It really does not matter anyway, bc you can't make much PROFIT in pvp anymore anyway, outside of BH, unless you get an extremely lucky drop (and those are declining in value every day). Another user said "If you expect people to go easy on you...." after a rant complaining about other elements of PVP i never mentioned. The only thing I was against was eating to full health bc that usually really means "eat as much as I can because I have no clue what I am doing and I have no other strategy". There is no reason to eat to full Hp. You are just going to lose time and money stuffing food into your mouth when you get past a point. Once again, I am outdated because it is very difficult to break even on losses in PVP worlds unless you get a very rare drop. These are all outdated rules that only appply to Bounty Hunter, hwere there is an almost garanteed profit if you win a good majority of your matches. I have nothing against using prayer, or PJing. If your opponent uses a pray, just use a pray that counters it,or the same pray, and its a wash. There are ways to counter PJers, too.

I have had my D Sq in my bank for years. Over all that time I have lost millions of GP because of the decline in value. Is there any reason to keep it? Is there any situation where the D Sq has any use? Is there any situation where the D Sq is better than the defender for example? I have been trying to think of a reason to keep it but I can't. It definately has no use in pvp, and I can't think of a Slayer situation where it could be more useful than the defender?

"VGA" Screen? Is that a very specific type of screen or is that a very common screen? (I hope im not sounding like a complete moron here)

I don't follow any honor code.If you want to waste 27,000 GP worth of shark and then click the Tele tab, go ahead and take the yellow route. You will lose a lot of money, and a lot of friends, but if you get lucky someone might feel sorry for you and give you something. With your methods, PvP( or at least Bounty Hunter) is not going to be a good way of making money. I guess without the Good ol' Wildy, you have to win about 12 duels in a row to cover the losses in one duel anyway, so It really doesnt matter outside of Bounty Hunter.

When I first posted this topic, I already expected the reaction to be overwelimgly negative, but the fact that several posters agree with me shows that I am not alone in opposing Jag's unfortunate decision. I was intending to just let this thing die because it got very ugly for a while, but it seems to have calmed down a little too much fo comfort, so ill mess it all up again. :twss: I cannot deny that RWT was a factor in these decisions anymore, there is just too much proof. I actually kind of admired people who had the brains to put those automated programs together for a long time, but those days are now over. But something GE-Pushers cannot deny is that with the inclusion of pictures for words, Quick Chat, and "Make-All" features(the direct reason that many skills are no longer profitable), there is a new audience that is the new aim here. And, in addition to the features previously mentioned, I believe that the GE was a part of this dirty little plan.

hello, my laptop screen is very small, its an eyesore. Im sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I now lots about the internet, but I know very little about computers. Can you connect a seprate monitor to a laptop, simmilar to the way you can use a seprate keyboard?

Obby Capes are just as strong. I hav a str skill cape, but IMO, skillcapes have turned this game into a race to lvl 99. It is pointless unless you need a prayer boost(and mine isnt even trimmed), and I believe even in pray, It only beats the Vestments by 1 point. It may even tie up with them ill have to look that up. I have a topic on this somewhere, but anyway, skillcapes are yet another jagex disaster. Major, major mistake. Years ago, I had a friend who did nothing but play RS. I thought of RS as a "Nerd" game and did not want to touch it. He showed it to me and wanted me to play it. In my sophomore year, back in 05' during the school spring break, I was bored out of my head, and eventually he got me to play it. By that summer I had already been banned for scamming, so I started all over again. For a very long time I did nothing but grind slayer. It came out around the time I started playing, and I loved it. In the Winter of 2005 I hit 85 slay. After a about a year of slaying I got bored with it, and during the next summer I started a clan with several of my friends. This started probably the most productive period of my time on RS and from that time to the time the Ditch Of Stupidity was installed(During the spring of 2007) I was in the Wilderness, luring(Oh Noes!!!!!one111111!!!!!) and PKing. Very good times.Then the ditch was installed, and my clan began to fall apart, but we reorganized that summer, and It was almost as good as before the Great Ditch Of Stupidity. After the removal PKing, Trading, Merchanting, and just about everything else that mattered, I went into "Semi" retirement, and most of the members of the clan me and my friends had formed quit altogether. Almost as if I have come full circle again, I now spend most of my time on slayer. Somtimes if any of my friends are on, we go to the duel arena just for fun. Occasionally I will pop into PVP worlds too. I expect Jag will have more "Great" updates soon (we are banning pvp bc it's just too insensitive) and I will completely quit.

All of these "Godswords" and this "God" armour are overrated, overhyped garbage. Abby+ Defender is just as good as any of the Godswords. If you want to pay millions more I guess you could get a weapon that is only marginally better than Dhorak's at low hp. IM not wasting my cash on that garbage. I would rather have a 46m hoard in my bank than a 21m hoard and a GS.

The Trade Limit. No more socialization basically. Runescape used to be a game about people. Now it is a game about sitting a dark room for 15 hours and clicking into a little yellow number with a picture next until it says "99". I would quit right away, but it is the only me and a few other poeple I used to know still talk. I would have to give credit to jag for the graphics update, but I could care less about graphics. I dont use Torag's because it looks good, I use it because it has good stats. If I was annoyed with the graphics, I would have played WoW or everquest or something else. I played RS because it was a great game, with a great community, even though there were a few morons here and there. People used to say I was wierd to play this game at the age I was. But I could always justify it by telling them to gth becasue I like the game. Now, I consider it to be a little embarassing. If it werent the fact that I spent the good part of 2 years of my life on this game, I would just quit now.

lawlz firemaking is a waste of money. What exactly does firemaking DO? It lights up a few lamps. Who cares. Worthless. If there were no cooking ranges, firemaking would have a point. But it just doesnt DO anything.

Maybe get 99 slay and Def. That would take about 5 million more xp though, for slay. I only got 3 mill this year if i remember very well. Maybe if Jag keeps it up with all of these chages I can make a goal to get 11 black marks lol.
