18-Oct-2010 - Partying is Such Sweet Sorrow (Halloween 2010)
References to Metal bands? sounds pro. They finally make aberrant specters easier to click on! w00t!! I have wanted that since I was able to kill them. LOL at the Pvp glitch. Almost typical of them. Figures, the tiniest update screws a huge portion of the game over.

Accuracy Ammies - LOL!
He created this thread to bring in fodder for his "sling" thread where he was trying to sell a white and a purple because phats are dropping because this amulet of accuracy update GF'ed the Rare owners banks. They had a sell off, and now his Phats are dropping.

Accuracy Ammies - LOL!
Yes. Only because I'm providing different reasonings from his/her mislead information. Are you freakin' kidding me? The OP doesn't bother thinking about things. He disagrees with people cause he things that arguing with someone makes you look smart. Who cares if he argues against himself. Perhaps, given the right conditions, he might make a thread, and actually argue with himself. No one else would need to post.

Accuracy Ammies - LOL!
Accuracy amulets were not exactly being bought out by a manipulation clan. Players with lots of spare cash would buy up accuracy amulets as junk. One guy, Mink, who owns a cracker last I heard, and multiple party hats, had tons of money stored in accuracy ammys because they seemed to be guaranteed never to fall with such a limited supply of them entering the game. This update basically GF'ed multiple Bils of worth out of his bank. Plenty of the rich merchers try to do solo buyouts of different things. Combat potions, accuracy amulets, and other things like that. If you have a solo buyout, you can use it as junk because it is essentially guaranteed not to crash. Except jagex announced they were going to do just that. Think like the reverse of climbing boots. Instead of jagex screwing over people by giving select people millions of GP, jagex screwed the rich by saying they were going to manually change the price of a commonly used stable junk item down by the same way they changed climbing boots up. Anyway's, Mink dumped all his rares for cheap. I am not sure if he actually sold his cracker earlier this year, I know he tried to. But I know he was selling party hats for straight cash. At least some purples and yellows for like 1.1B each, junk was ammys. Till he ran out of ammys. Should drive lower party hats down some, and I think people have already noticed it that purple is dropping.

200M in all Skills
I think you are forgetting the wc xp- teaks are 85 and pine 140,2, meaning that you'd actually get more fm xp with teaks assuming same wc rates. Arctic logs for fm xp then ivy the rest of the wc xp? we are talking about 200m xp here, fm will only be trained with magic logs, useless to consider anything else. The rest of the fming xp will be trained with magic logs. Using adze will get you closer to 200m fm. Might as well get fming xp and wc xp at the same time. Save money on magics, and save time later on instead of lighting hundreds of thousands of magic logs extra.

Herblore is more expensive to train quickly then prayer.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
If you're not referring to Mink (A mercher who has quit because he lost all of his street from ammys) then you're wrong. The junk traded influences the seller to make up the price. If the junk is bad (recently dumped merching clan item) then the price will be lower but if the junk is stable, then the price will obviously be higher simply because the buyers will have more confidence in getting their money back. This is why there is NO 'official' street price. It's completely relative to how the trade is operated through what junk, what risings, etc. Dang, Mink quit? Last I heard, he had a cracker too. That sucks if he still does. One less cracker in the game. About the amulet of accuracy, why not flood the forum and all pking worlds with "buying amulet of accuracy, 350k" requests. Get the same response as climbing boots, oh and get their alch value set at like 280k, so it protects over whips and chaotic and stuff. Sounds good to me, ammy of accuracy gives far huger bonuses then climbing boots did.

200M in all Skills
Yay for updates! Tyvm  lol about when paperbag logs out. Makes sense to set goals for x amount a day, and then finish and log. What is the usual xp he gets in herblore a day? He's not on runetracker last I checked with any day records.

Woodcutting for money is simply not worth the time. He makes more money flipping for 5 minutes a day than he'll ever make with Woodcutting. Therefore, he cuts for the fastest possible xp since money is no issue. I don't think SUOMI flips. Unless he started, or just secretly has been, and still takes donations. :P I thought teaks were fastest wc xp. But I hate woodcutting so I don't really know. Maybe pines give better Fm/Wc experience with adze then teaks do.

DevBlog - The Big Homepage Update
It looks pretty genaric. But at least the tool bar wont be at the very top of the screen anymore. That just annoyed me. I remember all those old web pages. probably my favorite was the 2nd page. The one that trey posted. That took like 4 clicks or something to get from the home page to the game if i recall correctly. (play now -> detail select -> members/free -> world select [world 20 ftw!] -> game). That was the layout that spanned my formative days of rs. /nostalgia I wish they would actually put those characters in the game.

Revitalizing Currency
How do you know runescape's inflation rate? I'm curious. It would be very interesting to know how you found that out. There is a reason he said approximately. Also, you can see the prices and general trend of prices for all high end buyable items is falling.
-
Revitalizing Currency
Well, with tiered currency, the limit could still be 2.147billion. But you could have GP for base currency, and then every 100 gp could be transferred into a "superGP" or whatever, that was still usable in the GE. This would then allow players to hold 2.147Bil "superGP" in addition to 2.147Bil GP. Effectively raising the the max cash limit by 101x.

The Middle
I remember playing during the 80-100 period. Things seemed to take forever. One strength level was 250k xp, sooooo much at the time. Now, when I get within 250k from a level, I feel close to leveling. I remember after I hit about 115 combat, things really took off and i basically blitzed through to lvl 130. I think that once you hit level 120 or so, you feel more committed to the game, like you have to finish your character off. So you play more, and you level much faster. By level 120, you also know lots more about how to do things, so you don't camp chaos druids for xp and money anymore. Really, my combat level took off when I started slaying. I found that I liked it, and I wanted to unlock Kuradel. By the time I hit 75 slayer, I was hooked. And then I really started gaining combat levels.

Efficiency
I don't do the calculations, ask Grimy Bunyip or bladewing If you use MTK, and farm something like avantoe in between tasks, you should hit enough to buy either gear, turm, or extremes, by the time you get 85 slayer. Playing like 2-3 hours a day, Doing like 3 farm runs a day. If you flip stuff while you slay, you can get 2 of those 3 things by about 87 slayer. By the time you hit 90 slayer, you are going to have the money for all 3. You are not even going to be half way there, and you will have turm, extremes, and max or close to max gear. So, start slaying, and try to make money in other ways outside of slayer. And pretty soon, you are gonna have the money for the max gear and stats. Prove it. You showed no fact, only opinion. (Is 99 slayer and fully believes in efficiency, i just wanna play the devils advocate) That is what I did. Between 81 and 85 slayer, I farmed 10k avantoe. I have since farmed another 4k, and profited off of flipping and drops enough to cover an additional 5 herblore levels (91, 92, 93,94, 95). Instead of spending the money on those herblore levels, I could have dumped it into prayer, or kept it to finish off my gear. But prayer wasn't boosted on BXPW, and the only thing I am lacking in gear atm is Claws. So I got Ovls instead. I have 100% of my goal herblore level, the money for good gear, and I still need the prayer level. At the rate I am going, I will have 95 prayer and max gear by 90 slayer easily. I don't boss hunt, and I can't do frost dragons yet. If you want average profit per herb run, check grimy's spreadsheets. It may not be cold hard math, but my point is that even if you start out with 70 herblore and prayer, you can, without doing combat besides slayer, have maxed gear, turmoil, and extremes. You don't have to go boss hunting, or camp frosties for weeks on end. You can do something you enjoy and still get all the good stuff to do it in easily.

Tip.It Times: October 10
Well, I thought Nomad's requiem was fun. Probably because 90% of the quest was just these super huge boss fights. The rest went by fairly quickly, with that puzzle to make it interesting. And then Nomad was just pure fun. Something that was actually challenging. And those minigames actually had legitimate questions about why they were there. A quest about the burthorpe games room would just be stupid though, on that point I have to agree with you. I have run into problems with the name changing thing. I tend to just look people up on the hiscores. Usually, I will remember them if I see their stats. But yeah, I have like maybe 50 friends that I keep track of. And the rest, if I need space and I don't remember their name, I will delete them. EDIT: oh yeah, I have been enjoying the fictionals.

The Wilderness
I walked into 3 orcs and 3 knights near the agility arena doing a clue. Apparently it doesn't matter whether you are in single or not. If they are in multi, they can pile you. I wasn't really paying attention, but I got back to my grave no with like 1:30 to spare, even after forgetting a slash weapon when I went to the net the first time.
