Cross Out Cross Advertising
Seriously, does it freaking bug you so much just because a company is advertising one of their other sites on one of their sites? Many companies constantly do that. Does one news post kill you or waste so much space? It's a good way of advertising.

Why do people act like this?
99% of people feel good when they insult another person. I can't say I'm not in this group myself too...but at least I know when not to do so... And as Zierro said, you'd feel more comfortable and you're more likely to stick to your friends and family even though they might be ridiculously wrong.

Support, I guess. No harm could be done anyway, and although I'll probably never use it, some other people might find it useful.

On second thoughts, 25% should be fine. The max you can heal is about 8 or so only, with an average of around 3-4 probably. That'll just equate to a few defense levels/some defensive stat boosts, which could have been substituted with a better shield/more defensive orb anyway.

How Easy Do You Want It?
Honestly, I disagree. The game is always going to be made easier and easier, more convenient and more convenient. It's part of progress, and you can't stop it. Even if the game is "easy" enough now, why not just go all out and make all skills of the same "easiness" level? Put in bury-x, firemake-x, etc. Who cares about those people who complain that they got "xxx skill the old way". The game is always changing. They can go and boast about it if they want - skillcapes are to show that you HAVE a 99, not HOW you got the 99.

They're known as "teleports". The higher the better. Best anti-noob follower tool ever! bahh, no need to be so mean, most of the time they're just little kids that don't know any better. If you shun them, you're being a negative influence. Little kids shouldn't even be playing. Doesn't it say "13+"? If they are playing, they should be using quick-chat. It's their own fault for faking their age. and you weren't playing RS when ou were under 13? I'm sure a lot of us were, includeing me. Well, I couldn't care less about what other people said. And I never followed people around like a noob. Honestly, that is basic common sense not to follow people around and all that.

20% maybe? After all, it's for ALL spells, not just blood spells. (and blood runes cost a lot? correct me if I'm wrong) But then again blood spells are multitarget. Blood spells may be expensive, but then again so is the orb. Imo it should be at least 25%. It's your decision after all. I'm just offering my suggestions.

Tip.It Times: 23 Aug 2009
I strongly disagree with "Wake up!" The author clearly has gotten too high of expectations solely based on the year of 2007 and 2008. And as a poster before me mentioned, NOT ALL updates Jagex is working on will be put on the front page, e.g. the game engine thing. And I'd say Jagex did a reasonably good job in churning out some new content while fixing things up and all in all making the game more streamlined. The author also made it seem like the only thing a game should have is big updates and new skills. I disagree. What is a game with huge things but crappy flow and no updates/upgrades to make it more streamlined? I think Jagex has gotten to a point where there are already a lot of things in the game, now they have to focus more on making it streamlined and smooth-playing.

20% maybe? After all, it's for ALL spells, not just blood spells. (and blood runes cost a lot? correct me if I'm wrong) I know it's getting to complex, but honestly, do you think Jagex will copy everything in word for word? No. Some of the swords are quite similar, and I doubt they'll introduce so many similar weapons at once. Also Jagex is always going for new horizons, to stay ahead of the competition. Why can't they try something new? Why must they be restricted by the "conventional" way of thinking that updates cannot be too big? Why?

Should the GE be removed?
I believe that GE caused more trouble to that than skillcapes. Some transformation skills were profitable when there was no ge but there was skillcapes, if you were smart and found the right buyer... But it was in fact a combination of a hell lot of things... For cooking, Cook-x, GE, skillcapes and PC/SW ( which allow people to train whitout food) ruined it. For smithing, both GE/Skillcapes and the fact that Rune is not exacly the best anymore. Fletching, Herblore... not much different. What i would like to see is GE's in other areas such as Ardy... having 70% of the players in the same area all the time is not a very good thing. No offense, but that is stupid. The Grand Exchange DID NOT make much of a difference to causing raw materials to cost more than the finished product. The main factor was skillcapes, and people's greed for a 99 and bragging rights. The GE only made it more convenient for people who want to get a 99 in a skill to buy raw materials and to turn them into "finished products". People would have bought their materials and sold their "finished products" all the same even if there was no GE. It would just have been slower. However, speed DOES NOT matter here.

self sufficient accounts, how hard could it possibly be?
Very good idea for a debate. I'm looking forward to some heated debates here. IMHO, it is possible to be entirely self-sufficient, just that it will be EXTREMELY tedious to do something. Yes, you won't have access to some things easily, e.g. Dragon Weapons, etc, and no access at all to things like party hats, but DO THOSE THINGS matter? No. They might speed up training, but you can always do things with the old-fashioned items. An interesting observation would be that Barrows Weapons would be "worth" less than rune weapons, despite them being better. You need 85+ smithing to smith rune weapons, whereas only lower-level combat to get barrows.

Price manipulation: right or wrong?
Go and ask the writers of the article then. They wouldn't write something without proof, especially something as controversial as this.

Pizzas and Pies
Yeah, true. The pizzas wouldn't fit together, and you could just use the pizzas when casually training on monsters that don't hit much or just use them for fun in safe minigames like Clan Wars, etc. Anyway, this should be in general discussion or bugs and suggestions...

Woodcutting yews
Not just yews, willows behind Draynor bank are just as crowded. I got heartily sick of competing with people with 80 or so woodcutting and went to chop the willows southwest of Port Sarim (you know, on the peninsula).

[Updated 9 Dec] Reviving Smithing : Divinite
Speaking of gods... Orb of Zealousness: +30 magic attack +10 crush defence +8 slash/stab/ranged defence +10 summoning defence +14 magic defence +6 prayer Special Attack: "For God's Sake!" Does not need to be activated, but when the effect takes place, drains 8 charges. When you die with the weapon on, instead you survive for enough time to attack twice. For those turns, you are invulnerable. Orb of Vampirism: +33 magic attack +1 crush defence +6 slash/stab/ranged defence +9 summoning defence +13 magic defence +2 prayer Special Attack: No need to be activated (i.e. passive). You heal 15% of all MAGIC damage you inflict. Changes to orb of holy light: Holy Vigour: 1 charge. Restores 10% of prayer. 1.5 minute cooldown. Changes to orb of protection: Arcane Protection: 1 charge. Provides an extra 5% of protection to all forms of combat. No cooldown, but can only stack four times. Also, if your respective "protect from" prayer is on, the effect is only 5% no matter how many times you use the "special". Hope you like it. ;)

F2P Mage and range underpowered
Not trying to boast or anything (and many people would agree too), but my thread at least has DISCUSSION VALUE, like it or not. Those threads are spam that doesn't have much/not even a bit of discussion value. And I've already stopped bumping it, so let bygones be bygones, ok? But you did that to your own "nerf abyssal whip thread" as well... o.O I didn't even bump that thread once. Too many idiots were flaming me, so I had no need to bump it. And it was Estorrath who bumped it back up, not me. I was telling him not to bump it.

JaGEx >_<
Its one of the easier ways to help your friends. Giving them "secrets" doesn't exactly help if its a secret like, oh yea get 85 mining and you will be rich. I don't NEED to give money to my friends, but it would be nice if i could. I know you don't need to and it would be nice if you could, but times have changed since then. Adapt to it. It's still possible to help your friend without giving him $$$. Instead of saying "get 85 mining and you'll be rich" - tell him how? Which way is the best, the easiest? Encourage him? etc.

What do F2Pers actually deserve?
And make (F2P) melee even more powerful? Besides, this would also mean making the "Lost City" quest F2P as well. 1. they already did in the form of corrupt dragon and guess what NO QUEST And guess what? It degrades away and not repair-able...
-
Should the GE be removed?
No. Yes, it might bring about manipulation, but honestly, isn't manipulation easy to solve? Rare item prices might have dropped, and you're blaming it on the GE? I don't see HOW the GE could affect rare item prices, other than the fact that it's easier to get a rare. Makes merchanting harder? Are you crazy? With all those charts and "modern" conveniences, merchanting is much easier.

JaGEx >_<
First off, thanks for the backup, ratchet. Anyway, I was going to ignore that guy anyway, if he came back with one more of those stupid repeated posts. I see people flame and insult you on a semi-regular basis, how do you manage to forget this stuff so quickly? In fact, Ratchet (who you're trying to use as a character reference) even went so far as to write a small essay of a post on your pro-JaGEx trolling. You and canadiansmurf are the same type, just on different sides of an issue. Neither of you has anything new to say, but you just keep posting anyway. Look, I might not have anything new to say, but it's because those arejust what you need to say to those "anti-jagex clubs". You don't need to waste time finding "new" arguments when those already are facts. My arguments WERE NOT proved wrong, or at least most of them were not proved wrong. However, all he does is spout nonsensical statements that he has repeated many times before, and 90% of them already got torn up by ratchet & co. I see where you're coming from, but as I said earlier, you DO NOT need to give $$ to a friend. You can give advice, tips, etc etc. Money isn't the only way to help a friend. Rich players can share their so-called "secrets of success" with their friends. What he's saying is apparently the ONLY way to help your friend is through giving $$. Which isn't true, as I've already shown.
