  1. quelmotz replied to Gerbil's topic in Rants
This is quelmot's response: At no point did poor gerbil say he was a RWT or that he missed RWT. At no point does he say he didn't understand the need for trade limits, he doesn't ask for NO trade limits but he does point out that trade limits could be more generous. Before trade limits friends and even strangers were generous to other players. Why am I not suprised no one ever gave you anything I doubt you have any friends. Also in typical quelmot fashion he picked on a tiny portion of your rant and doesn't even bother responding to your whole rant. It's like he can barely read. Wow, your reading skills really suck. Didn't he say the trade limits were overdone? I provided him with facts that it WASN'T overdone. Clearly he was just trying to defend the RWTers because he would NOT need to give so much $$ to his friends. I doubt you have any friends either, but that's beside the point. Go ahead and pick on this kind of stuff. ----------------- I'm the hypocrite? You must be joking. Everyone knows you on these forums quelmot and not in a good way. Actually if you could READ you would know that I don't say only that. So DON'T put words in my mouth. What I said is fact, the bulk of your posts concern your defending Jagex and then bringing in credit card things. WE DON'T CARE. We've heard this from Jagex why would we need to hear it from you. Trust me, I try to ignore you, I never read your posts as you are someone who's opinion I don't care to even know. However when you start to pick on new poster's like Gerbil than yes I will post calling you on your crap. Notice how since the post YOU made every other post has been related to it, as you are stupid and people have to comment on your stupidity. So when you stop making threads go off on tangents for your own personal crusade for defending jagex's actions then it's when I will stop attacking your posts. And don't sit there saying that all you ever say is "facts" you make up things that are meaningless like there wasn't anyone even giving 40k out to friends when others point out that in their experience this wasn't right, you just backtrack. You are the hypocrite. Let's see - "everybody on these forums hate quelmotz"? What's this then? And do you see people flaming me and insulting me? No. Go ahead with your childish insults of people being stupid and all that. It just shows your immaturity. I can't defend Jagex? Give me a good reason why I shouldn't. Look - why don't YOU stop attacking Jagex then? And attacking everyone who defends Jagex? Amazing. Claiming that you don't continuously repeat arguments when you CLEARLY do. Ask people like ratchet, PieIsEaten, etc and they'll tell you you're just an idiot who continuously repeats old arguments that have already been torn up before.

Shows what passion means. I personally can't stand runecrafting (level 7 ftw!), even though it isn't really hard getting above 30 or so runecrafting, whereas I have a lot of patience for things like mining and smithing.
  3. My point exactly. Fine, you win. Go ahead and boast about your victory.
  4. Haha, i remember camping at the chaos altar on a level 3 burying bones for ageesss trying to get 43. I got 32 or something, and quit because i wasent even half way. Me too. I got about 1.5K xp at the chaos altar, got thoroughly sick of it, asked myself why the [bleep] was I doing it anyway, and went clan warring.
  5. Yeah, I know. I said it's ok if you have fun while doing it. Or just do it to "relax". Anyway, it's their own choice whether they want to grind or not.
  6. I didn't make it, apparently you edited them. Go read the suggestions forum guidelines first. EDIT: Just found that there weren't any suggestions forum guidelines. All the same, incomplete threads shouldn't be accepted.
  7. Those top 5 problems are mostly caused by the players messing with the game themselves, like price manipulation.
  8. Good articles once again! The first article was especially good IMO. But I have one suggestion: Next time, don't choose "special edition topics" that writers don't have much differences to write about. I think wider topics like RWT and stuff would be better, because it wouldn't cause the writers to write the same thing in desperation because they have nothing different to write about.
  9. True. But I don't think they really want people to become addicted to the game...or do they? ;)
  10. Look - it's a SUGGESTION, not a rant/general discussion topic. Suggestions have to cover everything completely, unlike rants/general discussion topics.
  11. Something new things for you to learn about things here, gentlemen. If price manipulation is a crime, then taking advantage of it is also a crime. Just because you didnt start the price manipulation, you contributed to it by feeding the false demand. You sold things that you knew/know are being manipulated so you are contributing to it. Quelmotz is particularly funny as he would take advantage of the crime in question, but as he didnt start it so thats ok -.- . You both admit to making some sort of profit from it. While claiming manipulating prices is bad, you both wanted to profit. You see nothing wrong with this? Its not ok to start it but its ok to profit from it? You cannot claim to be against something which you gleefully profit from when it suits you. Quelmotz, you say that Jagex are soon going to ban price manipulation. If they are then thats fine as it doesnt affect me but Id like to see some sort of evidence of this. Can you place a link in this post so I can see it. Now this being the case, if Jagex were to ban it and apply things fairly, then those knowingly taking advantage of price manipulation could also be implicated. A little food for thought for you both. :ohnoes: Oh, amazing!! Apparently I can't take advantage of prices falling/rising. I don't even know WHO CAUSED the freaking prices to rise/fall. It could just be supply and demand, a new item that needs the item, etc etc. =D> Whose logic is absurd now? I don't have the link, but it was in one of the tip.it times about price manipulation.
  12. I strongly support that F2P mage needs a HUGE revamp. It currently sucks like [cabbage] now. Yew bows and rune arrows? Not really, if it means 1 less of those precious F2P updates. But it could be released if Jagex wants though, no harm anyway. More quests? Definitely. The last REAL quests we got was like - what - before I started playing RS? Don't say those Holiday Events were "quests". Some potions for mages/rangers? Definitely. I don't see why melee should get unfair treatment, with their strength potions. Bury-x? Definitely. We don't have a nice, convenient way to get prayer xp. Go train to 43 prayer with a level 3 account and see if you faint from its tediousness.
  13. Some people aren't as rich as you. -.- if you consider 5 dollars or whatever currency you use expensive.. cut the big macs or stop using the vending machines. better yet, get a job. there are ways to purchase memberships which jagex recently released. quite an ignorant post calling me rich. im working full time graveyard shift and part time in the afternoon to pay for college and other expenses all while training and competing in powerlifting and taking time to enjoy rs. i highly doubt you even know what hard work is Amazing - assuming that I use vending machines and eat big macs every day... Look - membership prices are not the matter. The point is RuneScape is for LEISURE. I don't want to waste my money on something for leisure. You want to do it, go ahead. Just don't try to impose your stupid opinion on people who don't want to waste money on things that are for leisure. youre right lol, thats why you shouldnt get them, because of the fact the capes are members only content. this whole idea of its 10x harder on f2p so we deserve x could be applied to just about any member content. and before you think im out to get you because of your strong insecurity, the you in this post and last are both generalizations unlike your first ignorant post, but thats what you want me to make the community think isnt it? o and i forgot to add, what makes my opinion stupid compared to anyone elses? most likely because it is so simple and uncomplicated =D> Round of applause for skipping past everything I said and starting to call me an "insecure" person and what-not. I can predict you're going to start flinging childish insults at me now. Like "get a job you [bleep]!" "Insecure [wagon]!"
  14. Yeah, exactly. Just because F2P receives a BIT more updates nowadays, those selfish idiots can't adapt to it and because they are apparently receiving less updates, they think f2p is "taking over" P2P. Fat chance.
  15. Maybe because its not exactly "wasting your life away" And you get some nubs saying "nice cape" once your done. You seem to keep thinking everything in runescape is useless, but if its fun, its not any more a waste of time than going to a party, or some other form of "fun" I never said EVERYTHING was useless. I said GRINDING at some stupid skill is pointless. There's no point in wasting your life away trying to get a skill. You're playing to have fun, NOT to grind away at some skill, which is NOT enjoyable at all. And so what if some nubs say "nice cape"? They'll immediately beg you "3m0+ez Pl0x!" after that.

WHy bother typing anything out? Just copy and paste this as it's ALL you ever say. Let's throw your quote back in your face, hypocrite. All you ever say is "I hate Jagex! It sucks! Blah Blah Blah!" I say that because IT IS A FACT. What you say is nonsense. So kindly get lost and stop following me around like a dog ready to snap people once their guard is down. ----------------- On topic: Look - I know some of you are overly magnanimous (i.e. generous), but DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE $$$/valuable items to make people happy? Not necessarily. The OP is making it sound like the only way to make people happy is to give them $$$/items. Can't you give encouragement? Tips? Advice? Hints? As the saying goes: Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Money and items aren't the only thing you can give, unlike what you're saying. In fact, advice on HOW to earn money is much better than pure money.
  17. People are really strange. How could wasting your life away pursuing some stupid virtual number "99" be ENJOYABLE? It's not like you're having fun while trying to get to 99. +1
  18. I've never noticed this happening. It's been much better since those stupid [wagon] RWTers got eliminated. As posters before me said, just add them to your ignore list or report them.
  19. Agreed with this. It'll just make people rush for 99 like skillcapes. There shouldn't be such a HUGE improvement from 98-99. With a few million xp by grinding, you've officially gained a new shield slot. About +50-60 more for all defensive stats? Overpowered much?
  20. 21. Just because there's no rule against something, doesn't mean it's right. I never said I would not take advantage of changing prices, but DID I MANIPULATE THE PRICE IN THE FIRST PLACE? No. So cut the crap about this. Price Manipulation will soon be made illegal by Jagex. They've already stated it, so stop your pointless arguments about this. Merchants might affect the price, but they don't do it in large scale, and the change in price they cause is so minuscule it's negligible (until they add up, that is).
  22. Ok, whatever, you win. But the point still remains - that is - mining SUCKS. Smithing is ok for profit if you know how to do it, like cannonballs and smithing steel bars.
  23. quelmotz replied to Gerbil's topic in Rants
Overly tight trade limits? An average character (even f2p) would be able to give 10k+ every 15 minutes, 40k per hour. Not enough? I don't see any people on the street generous enough to give away 40k to a friend. You're just trying to defend the RWTers. And honestly, "a hasty decision"? Look - banks are suing you and threatening to stop their customers from paying you with their credit cards. Are you going to take half a year to think of a very "adequate" solution to the problem? No. It's their game. They won't be trying to ruin their own game, contrary to what you think. And let's look at whose fault it was, shall we? Who RWTed? Who lured and scammed? The players. Jagex was forced to make all these changes. Do you think they ENJOY restricting their players? Of course not. But to make the game fair for everyone, they had to stop luring, scamming and RWTing.
  24. If there a limit i can't think of a way you could really abuse it. Cheaters are VERY creative and ingenious people FYI. In a "put enough monkeys in a room with a typewriter and they'll produce Shakespeare" kind of way. Yeah. Or what about this: "Idle brains are the devil's workshop."
  25. All true. I've already made changes to the bloodlust system, such that 1 point of damage is only equilavent to 2 bloodlust points instead of the usual 4. This should stop the game from being too combat oriented or something. And yeah, I know the "shopping system" is a bit stupid, but it'll at least provide a way for hunters to get some extras and for hunteds who need to stay longer or need some extra items. You'll be surprised how long bandages last. They don't last long, I can tell you safely. 2-3 hits from water blast and you can say goodbye to one bandage. Now I see what you mean about the scoring system. But seeing that teams are COMPLETELY random (unless you log in at 2 a.m. with a clan of 20 people or something and crowd into the waiting room. But still, people in other countries might be playing then, so I don't see how it could really be that bad). And even if you try to tell some teammates to not attack the other time, there will always be those [developmentally delayed]ed people who just LOVE to fight and kill people, and will ignore your "orders".
