51-59 Magic for F2P
Don't use fire strike, earth strike is just as good and cheaper. http://www.scape-xp.com/runescape-high-alchemy.html Put in the current prices of nature runes (248) and it shows you he profit made on each item. Currently nothing in f2p makes profit while high alching. And yes looking at the grand exchange it does seem the bars are starting to crash. But superheating is still profitable just mine the ore (: Why is Earth Strike just as good and cheaper? It maxes 2 damage below fire, and currently fire runes cost less than earth runes...well actually that doesn't matter because you'll be using the respective staff. I just leveled up to 52 magic after cursing about 250 times... :wall: Got too bored so I logged out. When I run out of the 1000 shots of bodies I bought, I'll probably go mining and superheating stuff. That is, if the prices of bars and stuff stabilize. Just go back to auto-failcasting like I posted and do random stuff online if you ever get bored. If you use FF, SplitPanel is a great add-on if you have a high resolution (Greater than 1280x1024) The EXP wasn't very good. I gained about 2000 xp in 15 minutes, i.e. 8k xp/h. Well, it being free and afk-able, I couldn't expect more. I'll just finish up my load of body runes and water runes first, and I'll consider it later. Thanks! :

Fist of Guthix - Multiplayer
How is that a valid reason? I've already said the non-support list is only for people with VALID reasons. Ok, I'll consider that. I think a max of 10 players would be just fine. Clan wars can have about 200 or so people, castle wars, soul wars, etc can have up to 40. I agree on the part of the lust points. 2 lust points should be equal to 1 charge. I've already suggested some robes that don't degrade. It would be good for those who just want to work hard to get an item, then forget about "recharging" it any more. Also, many f2pers complain about the lack of viable magic equipment, because the Druidic robes degrade too fast, combat robes suck, battle robes...need I say more? But he said it was an entirely new thing... just called FoG multiplayer. I've already said I don't support. You haven't described how they "buy" stuff while in game... is there a store they visit while getting hit, or just another interface? Either way I'd imagine it'd be clumsy... Somehow I'd forgotten to put in a paragraph about some "stations" or something to buy the stuff.

How many Christmas Crackers and Phats are left?
How did you get those numbers? And how is this a debate? It should be in General Discussion. Honestly, I couldn't care less how many of them are left. They are just virtual "rare" objects. Big deal.

Mining Sucks (round 2)
Yeah, but because most people think the "other skills" aren't broken, mining is. And reverting woodcutting and fishing back to the old versions will just draw flaming and spamming. So Jagex has no choice but to change mining.

Terminal Stupidity?
Apparently we have yet another class - drum roll please - the peacemakers ^^. And the wackos (ME!), and the uber-trolls, and the random stupid OMGUHASROONPL8 people. You're a troll (duh!) : Random stupid OMGUHASROONPL8 people are classed as "idiots". Honestly, trolls are the best. Lol, I wonder what happens when I get trolls as a slayer task.... am I allowed to suicide in the Wildy for slayer XP then? Really? I thought there was a difference between stupidity and idiocy. What? You're so stupid and idiotic! You don't know that stupidity and idiocy are the same thing! : Honestly, speaking, yeah, most PKers and basically almost any pures or people who fight in clan wars or something are idiots.

Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
You got 90+ CB stats on otherworldly beings? Good for you. To put it simply, THE GAME EVOLVES. It changes with its audience as its audience calls for different things. They wanted faster training, they got it. Also, just ask the kid if he has any trimmed capes. If he doesn't just laugh at him. If he does, then... well.... bummer for you. Or you could take it the mature way and ask him why he's insecure enough to insult you over a game. I agree with you Mister Eaten. The audience does change. This can be compared to James Bond movies. The Sean Connery audience were the people who read the books, but as kids slowly started watching the movies, here comes Roger Moore with a more friendly and likeable and comedic attitude. It evolved to make the majority of people watching (or in this case playing) happy. Exactly. It might matter to you how you got the skillcape, but honestly, the game changes. Go show off that you got the skillcape by killing rats then. Who will care? No one.

cut the crap and remove pricing limits
I don't agree. Less strict caps, e.g. 10% (or maybe up to 20% for items with prices below 100gp, e.g. fire rune, etc) would do the job as well, AND prevent (or at least limit) price manipulation.

Level 3 skillers
If its fun to make new accounts, its hardly a waste of time. Infact if it were funner for you to make more accounts, it would be a waste of time to not make a new account because you wouldn't be having as much fun. Fun is subjective, we can't really debate what's fun for others. Having fun playing a different style of gaming is a matter of personnal choices and should not be debated. Debating the behaviors of a certain type of players is more or less generalizing the entire population from a biased sample. Exactly. It might be fun for someone to train combat only, and it might be fun for someone to train skills only. The OP obviously prefers combat to skill, and apparently thinks combat is superior, and skillers shouldn't limit themselves to level 3 combat. This is flawed logic. It might be fun (I honestly don't know how) for skillers to play RuneScape using a so-called "crippled" account.

Mining Sucks (round 2)
Yeah, even the FREAKING RANDOM EVENTS give you noted coal and gold and stuff like that.

Level 3 skillers
Less trolls and idiots as far as I'm concerned. But as we all know, trolls and idiots are LOUD.

51-59 Magic for F2P
I'm pretty sure coal and mith or whatever ores are used to make the bars would follow suit... so again, it'll probably be possible to break even and even profit through superheating. But you'd have to keep an eye on the prices in the next week or so to find the optimal time to buy. Ok, thanks for all the hints! I'll probably try superheating when the prices have stabilized, meanwhile I am FoGing now while reading the forums. Curse will be my next choice. I've already bought some body runes. I'm using a water staff and earth runes (to use up my supply of nearly 300 earth runes from moss giants). After that I'll get an Earth staff and start cursing the dummies.

Mining Sucks (round 2)
Very well said =D> I agree with you wholeheartedly. Mining seriously needs an upgrade.

51-59 Magic for F2P
Cursing on monster is slow but not on the dummies in lumbridge. Its cheap and gives a fair amount of xp per cast (29) Ok, thanks! I'm probably going to try cursing the dummies if I find FoG too slow.

51-59 Magic for F2P
Thanks for all the tips! I'd just do a round of tele-grabbing and see how's it like. I doubt I'd do another round though. Maybe I might not even try it. Anyway, I'll probably try FoGing with the method Sinkhan mentioned. 0 gp required and apparently, average mage xp. I've got all the "bad" equipment ready - full rune, rune gauntlets, security boots. Maybe I should unequip my amulet of power too. I might try superheat but I don't want the MOST efficient method, money conservation is more important for me. Is cursing on monsters too slow? Or only suitable for lower level magic training?

[Updated 9 Dec] Reviving Smithing : Divinite
Well, maybe the monsters guarding the mine or furnace or anvil will drop shards of the orb. Piecing together 5 shards will give you an orb. The shards will be marked with the respective orb they are supposed to make, i.e. protection, power, holy light, etc.

Fist of Guthix - Multiplayer
Quelmotz stop, now. I find it very irritating that you repeatedly break this rule. On topic: I dislike the idea. I also dislike the rewards. It turns a simple game into a ridiculous one, and instead should just be a new game entirely. I completely agree with sees all for once, I also dislike your post style. Now, to address your idea I would like to quote you "waste of Jagex's time." that comes to mind. FOG is fine as it is and doesn't need unnecessary tweaks. I don't even understand why this is needed at all. Honestly, can you all read? It's not a tweak - it's a suggestion of an ENTIRELY different thing. May I ask how is it "Ridiculous"? It doesn't do any harm to bump a freaking thread. Will it kill you? I doubt a mod will ban you or something because you bump a thread a few times. You two are just picking on people and this is against the rules too. Honestly, stop being so nitpicky. Your posts are spam too. Apparently my ideas are ridiculous because you say they are? Honestly, at least back up your crappy accusations. Thousands of TIFers post +1 posts and bumps. Do they get banned? Even many respected TIFers post bumps. If you're so against someone bumping his thread up to the top of the forum so people can read, go ahead and report it to a mod. The mods don't have time for this kind of trivial matters. It doesn't harm anybody, as long as it isn't excessive. As I said, you're just nitpicking. Give some constructive criticism instead of just saying: "I think this is ridiculous." or "It's unnecessary. So shut up." and stuff like that.

Should F2P get skill capes?
What's the freaking point of that? It's just making someone who sells the capes in F2P, and you still have to get membership before to get the cape...

Level 3 skillers
Yeah, very true. More so in the RSOF and even more so in the RuneScape itself.

Mining Sucks (round 2)
Yeah. Jagex should rework their drop list of monsters. Nuke all the drops of food, jewelry, and other stuff that are supposed to be made by skills, or AT THE VERY LEAST lower them to a point that it is inefficient. The problem with that is now that the drop tables only hold cash and/or untradeables (since the raws aren't drops any more), you would have a massive drop in supply driving price up with a massive influx of liquefied gp entering the game (causing massive inflation and driving the price up further (assuming that you don't change the average drop value of the monster.)) Another note on that: since gp is the standard, gold as a currency has to change with the market; a monster can't drop only 100 gp every time because of the supply/demand wave. Because stock or items in this case fluctuates, a drop that's 100 gp on day will be automatically alter itself through natural economic means without Jagex interfering to "re-balance" the tables (which I believe they have in the past.) A drop that is 100 gp will always stay 100 gp until Jagex changes it. Ironically, even though it's the standard, gold's value changes constantly because of inflation/deflation. Yeah, it's one of those "too bad, too late" things, like skillcapes. Once they're out for a period of time, it's impossible to change it back unless you want a public outcry. And what, monsters that drop processed materials/raws have been around since the beginning of the game.

Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
Oooh! An absurd statement! Look - there's no "compliments" forum or anything like that here. Anyways, Jagex doesn't need a legion of people following them around and flattering them. They need constructive criticism. I don't think Jagex is perfect. RuneScape isn't perfect either. Far from it. I never said I loved the game. And apparently, the rants forum is only for people to vent their frustrations and praise each other about how bad Jagex is. Too bad, there are a lot of people like ratchet and co. who LOVE to rip up posts mercilessly and get in the way of your vent posts. The rants forum isn't an exclusive club for you to vent your frustrations. People also defend Jagex there, like it or not. (and to rip up idiotic posts) Face it - the rants forum is one of the places with the highest population of trolls. I've already told you - if you want sympathisers, get back to the RSOF where your private ring of friends will back you up. And honestly, why are you posting all these crap even though you know they are going to be torn up by ratchet and co. anyway? At least make it constructive and don't write this kind of absurd statements.

51-59 Magic for F2P
Thanks for all the tips! I'm quite poor ( :( ) so I think fire bolting is out for me. Fire striking could be possible...but I think I'll try the telegrab Zamorak Wine method to see how it goes first.

51-59 Magic for F2P
FoG is too slow... It's fun, but I'd rather play FunOrb if I wanted enjoyment.

51-59 Magic for F2P
Does anyone know what's the most efficient way to train from level 51-59 magic for F2P? As cheap as possible. Thanks in advance :
