  1. Merchanting. Mining Clay. Turning Clay into soft clay. Yews. Great orb project. The anchovy pizza thing. 25k tricking. Killing giants, collecting bones (only for fast reflexes people) Theres quite a few decent ways of making money in f2p. Most of which have minimal requirements, Yews are popular because they have "relatively" high requirements, giving the illusion of good cash, require less banking, less skill, and less concentration than some of the other methods. GOP requires unreasonably high levels. 25k/whatever tricking is illegal. It's going to be banned sooner or later so it shouldn't be counted. Killing giants and collecting bones is stupid because f2pers need the prayer xp which is ABSURDLY hard to come by. I can probably level up combat 2-3 times before my prayer levels up. And because of the lack of potions, you'll have to have more than level 43 prayer.
  2. Yeah. Jagex should rework their drop list of monsters. Nuke all the drops of food, jewelry, and other stuff that are supposed to be made by skills, or AT THE VERY LEAST lower them to a point that it is inefficient.
  3. Apparently we have yet another class - drum roll please - the peacemakers ^^.
  4. Those were before the GE...
  5. Troll FTW!!!
  6. Yeah. In fact, it's the about the only way of making cash that requires only REASONABLE levels (don't say 85 mining is reasonable) other than merchanting.
  7. I don't know. I'm not exactly a master at creating quests... :?
  8. Yeah... f2p here, and I stopped mining mithril in swamps after I realized that I can get the same amount (if not more) in the same timeframe by farming ankous and cockroaches. And no world-hopping involved. True. One of the main problems with mining is that by using combat/other ways, YOU CAN GET MORE ores than by mining, which is absurdly absurd.
  9. Nice job Ratchet and PieIsEaten  Maybe we should form a clan! Honestly, CanadianSmurf can't make any arguments that are logical and not contradicting. He continuously takes a tiny portion of my arguments, flames it for some "mistake" which apparently has nothing to do with my arguments but to do with his illogical and absurd thinking... Your pathetic arguments have already been *ahem* torn up *ahem* (sorry, couldn't resist the temptation of using the phrase "torn up" ) four times by different people, but you STILL don't give up and try to retaliate with more pathetic arguments. A word of advice: Save yourself the humiliation. You've already been proved wrong countless times. Admit it: There aren't any people who sympathise with you in Tip.it, so go back to the RSOF and continue your trolling.
  10. Let me clarify: Merchanting is NOT Price Manipulation as far as I know. Merchanting is a legitimate way of earning money. I.e. buy low sell high and trying to PREDICT (not manipulate) the market. Price manipulation is illegal in many if not all countries. It's changing the price of an item through sheer force of people/clans buying the item down. Though both involve buying items and selling them back to earn money, the process differentiates them.
  11. RWT. Undoing all the hard work Jagex has put in to stop RWT with such an update? [] Because you could so easily put a Party hat in GE for 1gp and have nobody but your customer get it? Oh no, wait, you couldn't. Without the cap, you could put an item that nobody trades for 500mil and the other RWTer would buy it. Why people are always assming you can only RWT with phats and rares? +1 That was just what I was going to reply. -1111111111111111111111111111 The GE system already blocks items with too small amount of available offers, which is why you sometimes see GE as "broken". You're buying (item). You see someone saying "selling (item)". Yet, your offer doesn't complete. That's because you are the only ones trading that item. If real world trading with items that nobody trades was possible, the current 5% limit would be more than enough for doing it. Instead, the price limit system creates false prices, which makes RWT possible. If an item is worth 1m at GE and the true value is 50 millions... How the [bleep] does an item get to value 1million in the GE in the first place when its value is 50 million? It'll take years.
  12. Yeah this would be suitable for me too. For lower levels (minimum requirements) it should be EXTREMELY challenging but not impossible, for higher levels still challenging, but not boringly easy. Unless you're far above the requirements, but that's beside the point.
  13. I recommend a very fun game that is almost entirely F2P, aka Kickabout League.
  14. Only i still get way way more willows than i do yews. Anyway 1-60 is hardly a grind, you can almost afk it while watching tv and it takes like a week. Obviously, because the required level to cut willows is 30 levels below that to cut yews... And honestly, I don't play that much RuneScape nowadays. Too boring. FunOrb is much more fun (excuse the pun).
  15. Exactly! Apparently people don't have the cognitive capability to understand what "Player behavior rants" mean... Oh yeah, I forgot, the rants forum would be very empty soon...and that thread would need a 50-page monster... That and, with so many posts, there probably wouldn't be any room for relative discussion on that topic, just 50 rants/sec of people whining about people. What discussion? :?
  16. RuneScape Sailing fails. What's the point of taking a longer time to travel somewhere? You can't even ENJOY the ride with the wind blowing in your face or whatever in a virtual world.
  17. :o This is one crazy Idea. I understand why it would be fun - being able to say "I made it to making full Rune Armour ALL BY MYSELF". What I don't get is why we need a whole server for it? The beauty of RuneScape is the ability to choose what we can do and what we don't do. You don't HAVE to go the grand exchange, you don't have to battle alongside people, you don't even have to talk if you don't want to! The game is also renowned for it's accessibility, so why make a mode where it isn't easily accessible? It doesn't make sense. A non-free mode of this is probably they only way Jagex could see this as worth it, but I don't think enough people would pay for that kind of game, that said, I don't think this kind of game mode wouldn't take off. Ever. I fully agree with this. The point is: You CAN do most of these things in the normal RuneScape. You don't HAVE to. You have a choice.
  18. Sailing = Boating Boring. [/thread]
  19. Thanks for the support  Bump in disguise? :
  20. Yeah, so it IS important to be specific, unlike what certain parties think.
  21. So true - in terms of cost to effeciency ratio.
  22. If you can't stand hiders you shouldn't be playing FoG because the whole game revolves around running and hiding.
  23. Exactly! Apparently people don't have the cognitive capability to understand what "Player behavior rants" mean... Oh yeah, I forgot, the rants forum would be very empty soon...and that thread would need a 50-page monster...
  24. Very true. Honestly, it's stupid to pay for a VIRTUAL thing that you can't sell or anything. All it can do is let you have fun. And f2p is already fun enough. So what's the point of membership, honestly. To have MORE fun. After all, you can't exactly freeze ancient overpowered ghosts to death and steal their armor on F2P. And that's one thing I enjoy doing. Fun is a subjective term. Most people subscribe to members to have more fun. But what's the point, honestly? Grinding at skills more quickly, doing more repetitive and quests with storylines I couldn't care less about, playing minigames which are probably full of freeloaders, unfairness and annoying people? You nailed it when you said that fun is a subjective term. I think that member's is more fun, thus, I pay for more fun. You don't, and so you don't pay for it because you don't think it's as much fun. +1 All these stuff are based on opinions. Many of the rants fail because there's no substantial evidence, just opinions.
