  1. Is that directed at me? The links I posted are just comparisons of the 2 CPUs. If you want I can post you the links for the parts, just tell me which build you're wanting.
  2. Ok, but how hard is it to put it together correctly? And does that include everything, like the case It's very easy to put a PC togethor, and there are plenty of guides on the internet such as these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls&feature=relmfu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxaVBsXEiok&feature=relmfu Guy's build does include everything, but you can probably squeeze an i5 2400 into your budget. -Edit- Here you go: 2400 vs Phenom x4 Comparison. Or an i5 2500k if you want a bit more future proofing in the form of overclocking when you start to notice a slow down. Depends on how close to your max budget you want to get. 2500k vs Phenom x4 Comparison.
  3. Has anyone tried this? https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mojang.minecraftpe.demo&feature=search_result I haven't used it to conect to a server or anything as i've never played minecraft before but it runs pretty smothely on my Nexus One.
  4. I noticed that too. No surprise that bugs come into the game if their test servers aren't fully up to date...

  6. I fixed it for myself putting a shortcut to Firefox on the desktop and when I want to run RS I right click and select "run with Nvidia..." instead of Intel graphics.
  7. What do you do if it's hot/cold and you need to remove/add a layer? Man up and deal with the weather. What you put on before you get the mohawk to stand up is pretty much what you'll be wearing that day until you're ready to risk messing it up. That was probably the most annoying thing to deal with when I had my hair like that. Zip up jacket? Unzip/take off if too hot, put on/zip up if too cold.

  9. Their answers are bound to be: "Answering that would help the botters" or "Better systems would take money away from putting out updates" or one of their many more generic answers... Don't have to go to know this is just another way of sticking the protesters away in a corner whilst maintaining a good public image...
  10. Why not ask her if she has any preferences? I can't personally justify the expense of a mac, but if you can then by all means go ahead, so long as you know that there are definitely 'pc' equivilants. Yeah, if you bought a gaming computer it should be compatible with power overseas, so long as the voltage is the same and/or it has a voltage switch on the PSU (applies to desktops only). If it is a desktop by the way, don't buy a prebuilt - make one. It wont be a desktop, it will be something i can take in my carry on!! :) If you're wanting a "gaming" laptop look for something with a nvidia 540m, 555m, or 560m or an ati 5790m I think it is. Anything less will struggle with newish games at decent framerates. Notebookcheck.net is a great comparison site for mobile graphics chips.
  11. My 2 cents: + Your 9400gt CPU is a Phenom II X2, cheaper than the quad cores and can be unlocked to a quad core if you have the right motherboard, like the one I included. More details here and a simple google search will provide more information.
  12. Getting a friend to LS Rocklobsters for you.

Buying good thermal paste would have been enough ;). bought some of that too, but i figure I might as well replace the whole god awful air flow system Are you going to keep using the Xbox case, or are you going to put the Xbox in a computer case? I actually have a friend that bought a RROD'd Xbox on Ebay and replaced the thermal paste and heatsink, but not only did that, but also replaced the Xbox case with a computer case that he had laying around. Has worked since, and works pretty well too. You should try something like this.
  14. Federal law applies to adults, you can't expect hormonal teenagers to act the same.
  15. Who says it shouldn´t? You? The only people who can actually state the purpose of RS is Jagex, and even then they haven´t impossed a rule where you can´t mage in Bandos, they´ve only put a negative Magic attack bonus on the armour to discourage people from doing so... RS is a game, games are meant to be fun. If she finds here style of playing fun who are you to tell her that it´s wrong and she has to change?
  16. I dunno what you're talking about. That.
  17. Nothing this month that really wants to make me resubscribe and take advantage of the 15% offer. Shame really as I need a game to fill some spare time.
  18. How far away is your nearest shower? Just shove him into it...
  19. I saw this in the scrolling banner a yesterday but there was no article mentioning these updates. When September´s BTS comes out if this offer´s still around I might consider resubscribing even if the game is going down the crapper.
  20. Copy what you´re missing from your laptop back onto it or onto a disk using this and reformat would be my solution.
  21. This, or do the general outline of it and leave for another time when you want to pick it up again. No need to do it all at once.
  22. It's already been said that the Times' articles this week are a rehash of the topics about these weeks updates so I'm not going to comment on that, although they were an ok read. Just something I noticed, Racheya's brother is only 11 and as such shouldn't even be able to see the autotypers, naughty naughty...
  23. For inside the case a soft bristled paint brush will also work. An electric air pump, like the ones you use to blow up inflaitable beds, has the same effect as a can of compressed air and will be cheaper in the long run.
  24. That RAM may not fit with that heatsink. I´d personally get something like this.
