I used to play back in high school (I started playing when The Dark expansion came out). I'd been digging through some old boxes when my ex moved out and found my cards! :D I cannot believe the condition of some pretty rare/valuable cards... #-o On the up side, my 7 year old took a liking to them and I started showing him how to play. He loves it and we play at least twice a day when he comes over on weekends. :thumbsup: I think it really shows how good a game is when it's still enjoyable by varying age groups 16 years after it was first released. Was anyone here playing when Unglued was released? It's my favorite expansion. I looked through my collection and I'm only missing 9 cards from it. If you're not familiar with it, look it up. The cards are hilarious! I remember reading how one guy took off his jeans and played in his boxers during the release tournament so he wouldn't get hit by the Hurloon Wrangler. :lol:

Typical high-leveled characters, at least the ones I encounter while mining in F2P, tend to be rather arrogant. Maybe that's just the competitive nature of the skill. Personally, I don't understand why anyone would be mean or arrogant to other players based upon their combat level. A high level means that person has spent a lot of time training combat skills. Does it mean they've spent no time at all on any other skills? Of course not, but there's no way to know that simply by hovering the mouse over them. There are plenty of level 3 pure skill characters that probably know more about the game than many level 100+ characters. Exactly what i said, its the best advice anyone can give you : Except when giving Birth... Wife: Honey! Help me please! Husband: What do I do? Wife: Be yourself! [Husband goes to the Pub] Lol. The pub would have been much more comfortable for 20 hours than a hospital room with a screaming wife. :lol:

I've only made 110k Xp all week. :cry: Although I did break into the top 9,000 miners on the high scores list.[hide=Check it out.][/hide]Work has been crazy. Thursday night I didn't get home until midnight...two of us spent 14 hours straight on the same job! :shock: It's a good thing I'm paid by the hour. I started some of the Runecrafting during my lunch breaks. It's been going pretty fast, but the lower levels always do.[hide=Level 30 Runecrafting.][/hide]I know I said I was going to craft air runes, and I did at the beginning, but crafting fire runes is faster and I should still be able to sell them when I'm done. Although, as I've still got a lot of runes to craft, I may switch back and forth every so often for a change. Maybe even mix in some trips to the water altar. :-k I've got over 400k Xp to go until level 91. Here's hoping I can get a lot done this weekend.

Change the code in your sig from: [stats]xyxyx[/stats] To: [goal]xyxyx[/goal] It should correct it.

What he means is that the code for the goal sigs had changed from: [stats]xyxyx[/stats] To: [goal]xyxyx[/goal] I noticed it when I figured there was a problem with my first one and got the code for a new one. I compared the code from the old one to the code for the new one and noticed the change. I'm also wondering why they didn't announce the change. :-s

OMG!!! LEVEL 90!!! :twss: [hide=I can hardly believe it!][/hide] I almost made it on the weekend (445k Xp in two days! :shock:), but unfortunately f2p players aren't on as much on Sunday nights...after about 9pm there was only one full world and the next fullest only had 900 people in it. :cry: So I went ess mining instead. Last night was pretty much the same thing, but fortunately I got 90 before everyone started logging off. I couldn't update my blog though, as the forum was down all night. Gave me a chance to chat with folks on the Hyt cc, so it wasn't all bad. :D I've got over 15000 rune essence now. Only 5000 to go and I start crafting air runes. I know it's not the fastest way to train Runecrafting, but I'm not going for fast. Just killing time at work and making some profit in the process. I'm not sure if I'll make 50 RC before I make 92 Mining, but it looks like it will be close. Hmm...not exactly my most exciting blog entry, is it? Oh well, they can't all be winners. :lol:

I don't think the G.E. is "spoon feeding" anyone. I wouldn't have bothered training half of my skills if I still had to try and sell items by spamming "selling ". I always disliked that aspect and felt that the G.E. was a great improvement. As for the rest feature, I think they're trying to add a new feature that both keeps people entertained and is useful. Are some things easier than they once were? Yes, of course. Did it weaken the game as a whole? I don't think it did.

As I'm attempting to get 99 Mining, please check out my blog, (*cough* shameless plug :lol: ), I pick my world based upon how populated it is. Since there is no "most populated" or "skill based" choice, would that count as "activity themed" even though I'm not doing FOG or GOP or anything like that?

Level 89 baby! Boo Yah! :twss: [hide=I do love to mine!][/hide] So with 10 levels yet to go, my will remains strong and my vision focused. The climb is difficult, but the rewards are great. I've also had great success with mining rune essence. Much more than I expected in fact. I've mined 10100 ess in a week! :shock: More than half of what I need. At this rate, I'll have it all and be able to start training Runecrafting by the end of next week. Hopefully I can get enough training done on my lunch breaks at work that I won't have to dedicate to much time to it, if any at all, after I get to 92 Mining. Then I can GOP and get some runecrafter's robes as a reward to myself. :D I've been leaving trade turned off because while I haven't been getting as many gf requests, everyone wants to trade with me since I got my mask. It's not up to Jagex or the government to control how much time people spend playing RuneScape. It's up to the person. If that person happens to be a minor, then it's up to the parents. How parents can let their kids play video games for 6 hours a day is beyond me. I certainly wouldn't, and don't, let my kids do that.

I think he's the new bank in the cow patch now that the Gnomecopters have left. ;) He's also the final task in the Lumbridge/Draynor Achievement Diary now (I'm kind of glad I got ride a Gnomecopter before they took them out...my kids thought it was hilarious!).

Looking at RuneScape from a medieval sense, mages would be burned as witches. You can't use the time frame the game is loosely based upon as an argument against homosexual marriage in the game. While I agree that a game aimed at 13 year old children probably shouldn't introduce it, if any parent thinks their kid has no idea about homosexuals by that age then they've got their heads in a very deep hole. Does that mean that Homo milk is only for homosexuals?? The improper usage of "colloquial" terms simply further distances society from the word's proper meaning. Gay means happy and a [bleep] is a bundle of sticks or twigs bound together. Edit: whoops, I didn't realize that word would be bleeped...sorry about that. If you look at the context though, I obviously didn't mean it in a derogatory way.

Thanks, but I'm not quite there yet. : I still have 140k Xp to go. I've had a couple of long days at work this week, but I'm on pace to make it by Friday. I've also found a better way to keep training while at work. Well, maybe not better but definitely less frustrating. With the slow speed of the wireless aircard, I experience frequent temporary communication losses making trying to powermine extremely frustrating. I've started mining rune essence during the day. This allows for two things: one, I continue mining even when communication is lost; and two, I'm beginning to stockpile essence so I can train my Runecrafting. Besides that, I don't have to look at the same mine all the time. :D I've decided that when I reach 92 Mining I'm going to take a small break and get my Runecrafting up to 50. I've decided to do this at level 92 as it is, Xp-wise, the half-way point of my quest. I want 50 Runecrafting so I can give GOP a try and maybe get some blue runecrafter robes to go with my mask. It's going to take a couple of more weeks to get to 92 Mining, so I've got plenty of time to build up my pile of ess.

Blog disclaimers are what bloggers hide behind when there is too much backlash to what they wrote. I know people who basically spend all their spare time blogging. I can almost guarantee that this person meant everything that was written. You have to realize that bloggers are neither reasonable nor responsible. It's not like they're newspaper reporters. The only person they have to answer to is themselves and the first thing they do when people complain is point to their disclaimer in an attempt to absolve themselves of any responsibility for what they wrote.
