I can, go look at maplestory and WoW, I guess they're much more comfortable with their profits. I'm not sure about WoW but Maplestory makes their money off of selling players in-game items. Something I'm *really* glad Jagex doesn't do. If the price for that is ads on the main page, then so be it.

Weird. I just went to the main page and I'm not getting that at all (I didn't get the Wolverine pop-up either btw). I just see the regular background. Where are you (geographically, I mean)? Maybe they're only doing it in certain places/countries.

You get the same number of tokens per altar, but you only have access to 6 altars on a f2p server. If you win all the altars you get 750 tokens, and if you split 50/50 you get 405.

Every time I watch The Mummy or The Mummy Returns it makes me think of Al-Kharid.

Just about everything has been going up all summer. Maybe it's simply because of everyone being off school and demand going up.

So it's been a few days, and I'm slowly but surely making progress. I've only got 500k Xp to go until level 93. Amazing isn't it? I'm talking about having "only" half a million Xp to go to level up like it was nothing. When I started playing RuneScape, that much experience would have seemed nearly unreachable. I spent some time working on a new dynamic sig picture Monday afternoon (it was a holiday in Ontario). [hide=GOP action shot ftw!

Someone came up to me this morning and said that there was an open application for P-Mods and then gave me this website: Do not enter your name or password! (I changed the password for my scout and tried it out of curiosity...it just says that the name or password entered is incorrect) Now as we all know p-mods are picked by Jagex, you can't apply for it. I've reported the person who tried to scam me, but I want to make sure Jagex knows about this so they can at least have it shut down and maybe even stick it to the owner for copyright infringement (note the use of all the RuneScape images and the "This website and it's contents are copyright 1999-2009 Jagex Ltd." at the bottom). Is there any way I can report this website to Jagex, or do I just have to hope that whoever investigates my report will check out the website and take action?

When did they start putting daily/30-day averages back on the same G.E. graph? On-topic: maybe he doesn't want to sell it, but wants to be able to say he got his dragonfire shield from drops. Edit: #-o sorry. I missed the post about selling it... :wall:

That would be awesome. I'd love to GOP with you. :D Speaking of GOP...[hide=51 Runecrafting!][/hide]Sorry for the big pic, but I miscalculated when I would level up. GOP has been loads of fun, and I've made about 800k gp from all the air&water runes and water talismans I collected, but it's time to get back to my beloved mining. I'll probably go back to GOP every so often though, just for a break. So long as I don't level up, I'll be okay. I got about 30k Xp yesterday, which doesn't seem like much when I've still got 640k to go...but every little bit helps, eh? I'm hoping to make level 93 within the next couple of weeks. When I decided to begin my quest to, ultimately, join the ranks of the most elite miners in RuneScape, it seemed like an almost impossible task. But now that I have crossed the half-way point, it almost seems like I'm no longer looking up at my goal but rather looking down towards it. I have a feeling that the last half of my journey will feel easier than the first half did (especially with GOP to break up the monotony).

I remember making and then selling Mithril scimitars for 1500gp each, and spending forever in world 1 buying my Saradomin armor one piece at a time. I also remember the time I got a full set of addy armor that dropped when someone thought he could fight a rock golem. :lol: I then took it to the bank and sold it for 35k. Ah, good times.

You're off to a great start. :thumbsup: I'm currently training Runecrafting and Mining myself. Runecrafting can be horribly mind-numbing, but once you reach level 50 GOP makes it all worthwhile. It becomes not only fun, but profitable too! Good luck with it. I look forward to reading about your progress.

Don't worry, I didn't suggest anything that was member's only. I'm f2p as well. The mining guild is available to everyone with 60 mining, and superheat ore is a level 43 spell. You just have to buy the nature runes.

If the Hobgoblins are becoming non-aggressive, try mining on a PvP world. Very few people ever go up there, and there are no Revenants. Also, the mining guild is a safe area on PvP worlds and is usually pretty empty. I find this allows for pretty easy coal mining. You just have to jump back to a non-PvP world to go to the bank. Best thing to do would be to load up with addy or mith and then spend some time in the guild superheating, if you can.

I have some bad news today, dear reader...I've been woefully neglecting my mining duties for the past couple of days. :o Okay, I admit it: I've been playing GOP and LOVING it!! It's so very awesome, I wish I had started long ago. I've gotten myself some blue robes and they look great! :thumbsup: I can't wait to add a Mining cape to the ensemble! [hide=I be stylin' yo!][/hide]I think it's still missing something though. Can anyone suggest a good amulet/necklace to go with it? Money is no object. After all, I have to look my best while digging around grimy mining pits you know. I am really enjoying GOP and will probably play until I reach 51 Runecrafting before getting back into Mining full-time again. I want to add one more level (and GOP gives me a perfect reason to add to Runecrafting) so that when I get 99 Mining, I will also have an overall level of 900. Nothing like a big, round number to celebrate something, eh? :
