  1. Gratz on 94 runecrafting! :D Wait, didn't you say you were blood-tabbing bonus exp?
  2. I sense somebody will become a pro dungeon raider soon ;)
  3. So after bonus exp weekend, I got: 41 -> 45 farming 50 -> 61 ranged 70 -> 71 constitution 57 -> 62 fletching Pretty good for me, imo. Now back to my good ol' f2p main again. Hard diaries are out, finished all tasks except for the mithril platebody task. I'll be training smithing for the time being then. But not after I get 70 rcing (and enough cash!).
  4. So I have done all the tasks EXCEPT for the mith platebody one. How do you guys think I should go about training smithing? I'm thinking of buying a scroll of efficiency and making iron plates.
  5. 41 -> 45 Farming 50 -> 61 Ranged 70 -> 71 Constitution 57 -> 62 Fletching Not bad, could have done better though. Dunno why I wanted to go the ranged way though :P
  6. Since you have that high summoning, graahk with duelling rings seems best for you. (In case you didn't know, the spirit graahk teleports you just west of the nature altar, making it a useful method.)
  7. In my experience I hit rangers more with stab, partially due to the spear being awesomely accurate, but it's made of hide right? (And dragons = STAB LAWL) Hobgoblins are a similar situation. I've never personally tried crush because warhammers/mauls fail that bad. Some say slash but I'm not exactly sure. And correction: longsword/battleaxe difference is +6 str. Only hits like 10-15 higher. Basically most of the top weapons make little difference in stats - it's the style that matters. Also how do brutes/dogs not exist? You're going to be larging 25+ anyways, correct? (Unless times have changed and people only large occults now.) And I know about skeletons. xD Which is why I too think OP needs some sort of corrections with his floor assumptions.
  8. Now if night spiders actually drop them more often... Speaking of which, all slayer monsters need to appear more.
  9. Dungeoneering definitely wins me with fun factor.
  10. Got my guide pretty much outlined now (check contents if you want), so I just gotta get my lazy ass moving and finish off the other parts of it.
  11. Can't agree with you there, although melee is still somewhat effective against them. Melee is actually the primary option for pretty much all non-boss monsters, it seems. Combine it with berserker to make it even better. If magic really deals damage so fast, then all the pro dungeoneers would choose to mage (which they do not). Plus the fact that occults are out, it makes magic look even more useless. If you really want a staff, purchase some logs and make a fire staff. And as I've stated earlier, melee with berserker just adds on with the favoring melee business. But as OP stated, it will have significantly less magic monsters than the other themes due to this very weakness (less than occult at least). Still, you've got a point, there will still be magic monsters that will annoy you to no end. Still doesn't make the hood useless though. In that case then a sag short doesn't even warrant a bind slot. A smuggler-bought tangle gum shortbow does the job just fine as well, no? No matter how you look at it, the hood is STILL worthy for a 2nd bind slot. Ranged/magic just aren't useful enough to warrant themselves early bind slots, as you can just buy the thing until 100 dunge.
  12. You'll be pretty surprised how useful the hood is on abandoned. Sure it might not be that useful on occult, but the team can just pile the magic monsters anyway. Also, attack bonuses outside of weaponry don't matter much since simply exploiting the weakness is enough to deal immense damage. A spear's slash is pretty mediocre, yet it's still excellent on zombies and hydras. And read the OP. He predicts that the warped floor monsters will be more weak to magic, therefore there will be lots of melee monsters. And sag short over sag long?
  13. The same can be said for platebodies. No wait, any piece of armor tbh. Hood gives you immunity to most humanoids. I think that's more useful than a piece of armor that doesn't really help at all
  14. Dungeoneering never was frustrating for me, but I do wish I had a better internet connection. And I need members too.
  15. Another question: If armor really is that useless for defending against things, why bind it over other things? The ultimate setup SHOULD be 2h -> hood -> sag long/hex -> celestial staff, but you guys decide to put armor which really doesn't help much at all. High leveled monsters (usually 150+, but even 100+ can pack a punch) are EXTREMELY accurate, so accurate it rips through armor. I don't know about the case with leather bodies, but it still might be barely better than without armor since magic attacks are the weakest of the 3 anyway. It's only strong because so many people bind platebodies/chainbodies instead. And the difference between things like longsword and battleaxe is so trivial you'll barely notice the difference. +8 str allows you to hit what, 5 higher? What matters is the style, and it's not just slash/crush all the way. I'd like to see you slash/crush hobgoblins, forgotten rangers, brutes, guard dogs, hellhounds, and DRAGONS DAMMIT. Like what xpx said earlier, the ultimate setup would be HOODED primal 2h/spear/longsword/battleaxe/rapier, each with a different weapon of course. Maybe a hex, sag long or celestial staff in there too. And pantim, there is a reason people don't bind mauls/warhammers... they only enable you to use ONE attack style, and I don't think anything other than ice monsters and skeletons are extremely weak to that. Great discussion, by the way! I love it when topics like these foster many different aspects of discussion. Keep it up everybody! ^^
  16. How long, on average, do all of you (moderators, admin, crew, TET) spend your time on the forums?
  17. Except you don't get infinite prayer. It's way more important for the boss. Also, slightly off-track, but what will be the new uses of the unreleased items? I can already see how most of them would work: - Primal longsword: Will become the best 1-handed weapon, useful for keying because of the ability to "tank". - Primal 2h: Will become the best 2-handed weapon if used with berserker. - Primal spear: Probably only for those who are too lazy to buy berserker/tank class. Oh and the flexibility and p++. - Primal platebody: Best melee/range defense armor piece. - Sagittarian body: Best magic defense armor piece, also all around. - Celestial robe top: ...magic attack? If I were a member my bind order would be this: Best spear (don't feel like using tokens on class rings) -> shadow silk hood (damage evasion) -> blood necklace -> hexhunter bow. Ammo would probably be 125 of my best arrows I can use. I can just craft the runes anyways. EDIT: Just read about the theme thing. You can't really assume one particular theme will be weak to a particular class. Each monster has a different weakness, you can't just range your way through occults or even slash through furnished. I know the idea behind what you're saying, but it's still not that great to just make assumptions like that.
  18. Well obviously Gremmy's tests, I think we can alll agree on that. Right? What page was that? :-? The previous page. xD
  19. Congrats to all that won the Golden Gnome video event!
  20. You brought your glory, but didn't teleport with it? Oh well, good luck getting your items back I guess.
  21. It's due to the fact that it's the very first computer game that I played (not counting some random flash crap). I tried playing other games but always end up going back to Runescape.
  22. Sigh... people these days. I actually don't even know why there's even a filter here anymore. The youngsters are the ones that use the profanity the most, not us. We need freedom of speech, or even an "optional" filter.
  23. I train pray via dungeoneering. Using bones on a pray altar grants 4x exp, which is ftw. ^^ Since I would only be training combats via dungeoneering anyways... for money I got runecrafting for now.
  24. Farming! ^^ Used to be dunge/rc, but realizing the benefits of farming I decided to give that a go. It's awesome!
  25. El Popo consistently dunge with 4 level 3 skillers in 5:5 larges, but due to member doors and crap he gets way less than he should have. I agree though, the experience caps are fail. Cap everybody, not the high-level "minority". There are more high-leveled free players than low-leveled... But let's not discuss the issue here. I've already ranted about that lol.
