"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Question for you: You remember "the ex", right? Do you think you'd have stayed with her past her first indiscretion if you hadn't been having sex with her? Are you trying to imply the only reason he forgave the first cheating episode was because he was having sex with her still? That's a pretty bold statement, if you are.

Now THAT at least, I'm sure would be a dumb move. http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/online_mobile/survey-new-u-s-smartphone-growth-by-age-and-income Though ownership has doubled in the past year if we compare PewResearch's findings for 2011 at 35% to Nielsen's results for 2012... Meeeeeh. This is just making me more and more sad.

I don't know if they got rid of it. They might have just worked on it enough that it wasn't as easy to manipulate/we haven't figured out the new conditions to automatically be muted

But we're not debating the English language here in this thread so if you wanna hash that chestnut out we can talk via pm.

DEEEEEERRRRP. I need new glasses. When I expanded it, I saw that it said 82 percent, not 62. fml Here's the page in question also from Pew Research: http://pewinternet.org/Presentations/2011/Apr/FTC-Debt-Collection-Workshop-Cell-Phone-Trends.aspx You're right then. It's more reasonable to assume most US citizens have cellphones than not to such a point where I could really understand why Jagex would exclude landline support. Meh I'm sad now lol

If in 2011 overall cellphone ownership was recorded at 60% (data taken from the same research company) compared to the data we see from 2010 of 80% of all adults (sample of 3k), doesn't that indicate a potentially low rate of ownership for 18 and younger? 18 years and younger are, hopefully, the majority of RS players. If they aren't then the game's got a different problem entirely, but that's another topic I guess <_<

You can't make the assumption that all US players come from metropolitan areas though. Well I guess you could but it would be horribly wrong. The US players with the ability to play Runescape typically don't come from the third world parts of the US. Again you're making assumptions - and borderline offensive ones at that - considering you could play RS reliably even with a satellite internet connection which is available in rural areas of the country where DSL isn't an option. I actually live a few miles away from an area like that in Pennsylvania.

I'm not sure if you're saying the US isn't a first world country, or if you missed completely that my statistics were taken from the US. From 2011, actually.

Not having facebook or a mobile is not the sign of a hermit. It's still only around 60% of people in the US who have cellphones. I'd bet cash on the spot that the cellphone ownership for people between the age of 12 through 18 is less than that. That's a big chunk of your customer base to leave out. It's just an overall smart move to allow another option, especially in the US where texting and data plans are ridiculously high compared to other countries.

If it's email based at all that doesn't really solve the problem. I'd prefer the ability to opt out of it. My cell phone can't do anything other than make calls and I'd rather not have my account tied to a landline. I'd totally understand that, honestly. Some people aren't comfortable with it. To be honest since it's new for Jagex, I'm not exactly all that comfortable with it either.

Misread Pack Yak banking ability...
Made the same mistake as you. It just means its a little bit more difficult to manage than you expected. But it still is very valuable if only for it's increased carrying capacity. The added ability to bank items in your inventory is a plus.

I'm still getting the 3-at-a-time spambot PM bombings but I'm seeing maybe half the people at the GE spamming. The pm spambots are a majority so I kind of wish they'd get rid of them first...but I understand how hard it is to make their filters adapt to every scenario for them. At least the GE spammers seem to use the same junk all the time.

200M in all Skills
So every person who reach and strive for high ranks in these games are fat and socially inept who have their lives crumbling around them. And you wonder why people are taking this personally?

Whatever it is, I sure hope that they learned from google and allowed for landline support. If not, well, then I'm boned because I don't have a cellphone, which is utter bullshit.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
True, but it's not the guarantee to a healthy well rounded relationship. So if that's true, why can't it be the other way around? I don't see why allowing a relationship to progress without setting constraints on it could be seen as harmful to the relationship's chance at growing and maturing.

You're right. But why does it matter which happens when? Why can't they both develop at the same time?

You're using that example, but it's an example of an unhealthy relationship. Like mental and physical health contribute to a person's overall well-being, the same goes hand-in-hand with an emotional and physical relationship. If a person only worked on the physical aspect of their relationship and not the emotional, then they never had a relationship to begin with...just really great sex. I won't give you a collapsed souffle and say because I didn't beat the egg whites well enough that it's a reason why you shouldn't use egg whites.

You're right. But I don't think there's any reason to wait, either. I think what Muggi said about on the road to long term relationships, there's no reason in waiting when you're both mature adults. If that's the goal you both share, you don't really lose anything by seeing what life would be like, fully and truly, in a relationship that explores these things freely. That doesn't mean going through the kama sutra in the first night alone, but simply not holding back for fear of...meh, anything really. You're going to have that growing of makeout to fondle to sex to anything else in any relationship no matter what you do, but if something is making you hold back from starting that process it's certainly not going to help you. (Not trying to explain Muggi's point of view, just explaining why I can agree with some of what Muggi is saying.) EDIT: Oh neat, my post sort of addresses what Muggi said, too. Yay unintended efficiency!

Food
Ugh. Anyone more experienced out there - help me please! I've tried twice now to make a bechamel sauce to make into other sauces - first alfredo, then cheddar sauce. Each time it came out grainy and glumpy the moment it was off direct heat. I never get that velvet consistency it seems, no matter what I do. I've done my best to match tutorials but I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I add the butter to my hot pan until it's all melted down, then I add my equal part of flour. I wait until it starts to bubble a little and spread a little more than when the flour first hit the butter (like...one or two minutes?). I figured at that point, the flour was cooked out since that seemed to be the point where people moved on to adding milk. I add my milk in 3 parts like I was shown. 1/3rd, mix til incorporated, try to get all the lumps out, then another and repeat, then the last and repeat. By the second part of milk, it's starting to get that strange consistency, where it's not velvet, but grainy. I usually think I hadn't stirred enough, so I stir more. At the end, the consistency never gets that velvet look to it. It sort of reminds me when chocolate starts to seize a bit, the way that looks, without completely falling apart. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and it's driving me nuts! I'm using like a cup of milk each time on this, and that's like 2 or 3 bowls of cereal worth (which is a lot considering we only buy pints at a time ffs :3). Rageragerage

I don't understand. It seems like that's exactly what you're saying. @_@ Asexual people can have healthy relationships but since they're in the very, very small minority they're not what I'm talking about, clearly. So it's more true than you're willing to admit.

I didn't know I could disagree and agree with something so many times in a single post. It's like in math class where you get the right answer in the absolute worst way. Why on earth do you think that people don't experience the same types of longing in separate gender roles?

what should I use mad necklace and promissory note(s) on?
Skill doors. Pathing IS a big part of DG, and not having at least 80 is holding you back. Other than theiving, I'd say do hunter.

Well then the relationship wasn't all that healthy to begin with if they didn't have an equally healthy physical relationship. EDIT: I mean long term relationships, not necessarily Nox's issue.
