  1. If i wanted to play a class based mmo i'd play guild wars or wow.
  2. examinations are fair game in subtle. plus how often do you visit the kb? Its not that informative. i prefer fansite guides subtle enough.
  3. Its a hut just a little east of the mage battle arena's entrance. it requires a lockpick to enter and has numerous level 42 aggressive magic axes in it. (in addition to a spirit realm portal just outside)
  4. The first one is War, it ends when you find the gift of peace. The second one is Famine, it ends when you find the grain of plenty. the third one is Plague, it ends when you find the box of health. the fourth one is Death, it ends when you find the cradle of life.
  5. ehh. a firecape is an achievement in its own right. Doesn't have to be brought down as a mere prerequisite for content.
  6. Getting diseased might also work. but i've never let it happen to me long enough to see what it does to stats like that. and your summoning levels don't count towards your combat level in pking unless you have a pouch on your character or have a familiar summoned. (i think)

  8. technically the actual D&d's time can be no more than 20 minutes. after 20 minutes or finding all the shards or getting discovered you are kicked out.
  9. Level 63 summoning 31 desert goat horns and 189 gold rings. Doesn't fail bigtime but i should've took triple charms and killed bork.

  11. Why wasn't the neitz in this? Its a fairly commonly used helmet. and i can see why they didn't want the slayer helm in this. Slayer's been getting too many updates.
  12. Increasing the HP to level ratio in any way simply doesn't work. sorry to say. i thought it would be cool too but even in pvp its stil bad. It would work fine if jagex halved all hp related percentages but without such a tweak the idea is unimplementable. If people had twice as much hp as before then do you know that sweetcorn would heal almost 20 health for a maxed player. Phoenix necklaces would heal almost 60 hp for a maxed player. Saradomin brews would heal almost 30 hp a dose. Which puts the new player hp max. It would kill player vs monster of every kind and player vs player. With a divine+ sol + deflect melee. You already have 80% melee protection. Heck with just deflect prayers, players would have to do on average 75 damage a hit to kill a player. and because saradomin brews have 4 doses that means that it would take at least 2400ish damage to kill a player. (and thats with a player carrying 20 of em, Players can carry up to 58) bosses like Jad and the corp beast would be jokes. along with nomad and any boss that ever was hard. Sure players would be alot more reliant on hybriding but they would still have to deal a large amount of hp per hit to win.

Of course british holidays can postpone updates but i think they'd be somewhat more inclined to release on an american holiday because there probably would be more players playing at the time. but then again i'm an american myself. i'd like to think they care about our dumpy old country :P Edit: I could care less about a summoning update... i just want rs to stop crashing on me.

I didn't understand the second article. it went on about how teams are often stacked and there are 50-50 worlds and nocombat sc worlds. and then it went onto the play styles of the minigames. and then it started talking about updating castle wars... Could somebody enlighten me to what he was getting at? was he talking about 4 different things or working his way up to 'castle wars should be updated'
  15. but nobody can deny that quite a portion of their playerbase is american. Its important to understand your playerbase's demographics and respond accordianly
  16. well too be fair fire giants in brimhaven also have wild dogs. a major pain. But when i go to kill fire giants or another crowded task not that many people look ahead for convenience. A few rooms back from the normal fire giant rooms are two more. I'd rather much see more worlds improved.
  17. great idea, this would make a good deal of customization in the game more visible without changing much.
  18. When Godswords were introduced they were the most unattainable weapons in the game and had the highest requirements to obtain. Although they are not what they used to be just remember that jagex makes the majority of their updates for the runescape of the current day. The same thing happened to legendary rune armor, dragon armor and now godsword's are getting their slice of the pie. 75 attack was high back then and if it had been 80 or 85 then they just limit themselves for future without making it seem too much more powerful.
  19. maybe another use for charms? or maybe the row will be updated to increase the probability of good charm drops.
  20. The only way P2P would be able to take a monster down in less than 10 seconds would be if they killed it on P2P worlds, which have nothing to do with F2P worlds. If they choose to compete with F2Pers, then their dragon armor and abyssal whips would be no use to them, so obviously they wouldn't bother coming to F2P to kill our monsters. i'm interested in how jagex will handle this thats all. a boss for f2p would have to be weak enough for f2p to kill (relatively speaking compared to alot of p2p bosses) and have good loot(again relatively speaking). but have some sort of reason why members shouldn't want kill it on their worlds with ease... To protect the integrity on its drops. So its worth it for f2p (or members using f2p equipment) to kill but not members on member worlds.
  21. But how would a f2p boss monster work in terms of drops? Its drops would have to be good enough for f2pers to kill but be bad enough so that member's wouldn't want to take the thing down in less than 10 seconds. And a F2P exclusive boss might work but won't go over with the p2p crowd well. perhaps it could only be fought on f2p worlds.
  22. Its impossible nearly. Runescape won't die because they ran out of new content but for entirely different reasons altogether.
  23. when hexcrests and focus sights drop to an average price grab some of them. along with a black mask. Full bandos is considered slayer equipment and a whip is the weapon of choice. but if bandos is out of your price range then torags or any other barrows melee armor works just as well. Full void isn't worth using for slayer anymore. except on a few odd tasks. black dhide or karils for magic defense. If you have a great herblore level (around 86) A Zamorak spear tears up metal dragon tasks like crazy. and a zamorak spear is nice for waterfiends and aquanites. When using a whip you will usually be using a rune defender. keep some money around and look into buying a cannon and cannoning some tasks (like dags) A fury is also a nice thing to have and a dfs if you can afford it(but it seems you can't)
