What book are you currently reading?
Your translators are slow....The german version has been out for a while already. Also, bit surprised you are waiting for the french version? I always go for the english ones if I can, translation just takes out some quality of the book, it's unavoidable...and I'd assume your english is good enough to be able to comfortably read it in english?

See the Future...
The ge has a river. A tiny river. Nowhere where you could sensibly put something such as a port or even a large ship.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
The thing is, it would be a not too unlikely possibility that a class lies about what an unpopular teacher has done, so the question is how seriously they are going to be taken. Solid evidence goes a long way.

The Style Thread
Holy.... 60 dollars is cheap? I've never had a pair of jeans that I paid over 25$ for... http://putthison.com/post/8053052900/put-this-on-episode-7-personal-style-episode at 9:00 When something is well-made, it lasts, and it has more value, economically and aesthetically. Welted shoes are a good example: 600$ for a pair of near-indestructible shell cordovan boots (plus resoling costs) is a better deal than spending thousands on a myriad of cheap shoes which will last you just as long. Not to mention it looks [bleep]ing amazing. Of course that only makes sense if you think they're still going to fit in a few years. If you're still growing (and probably don't have that much money either), it's more economical to buy cheaper stuff.

Botting in Runescape
It works better than with spambots, but again, let's assume the bot runs 10h per day - how long is it really going to take him to get those stats? Not that long really. I'm pretty sure banning is still by far the inferior method. Especially since with banning you have to be really sure it's a bot to avoid false positives - where with technical measures, you can be sure not to catch anyone innocent.

How early is early AM? Do you mean 0-1 AM GMT (let's assume that DST is automatically applied, so GMT is GMT+1 at the moment), then.. perhaps. I usually come TO WORLD 6 at around 7-10 AM GMT+2 (+3 due to DST) and the BA is completely deserted. On the other hand, if I come around 9 PM GMT+2 (7 PM GMT), there is usually something going around, with up to four teams being formed @ wave 1 (additional teams already in). Ah, yeah 7-10 AM is pretty much the bottom in terms of player numbers... it's quite possible not to find teams at that time I guess...

Game update 19th April
Yeah Jagex is often a bit out of touch with the gameplay reality. That's what feedback is useful for then. Most of these issues get fixed pretty soon. Of course it would be a lot better if they weren't out of touch, but it doesn't do that much harm really.

Game update 19th April
Ok, again you miss the point. The point was also never that it was a huge deal. It was that Jagex should have done it from the start, since it was so blatantly obvious to anyone who actually DG's that is was needed. I've understood it perfectly well, but to make you happy: There are worse things to happen than Jagex not implementing something that should have been obvious. Is that better?

Botting in Runescape
"Catching" spam bots is entirely useless. A pmod would walk into the ge, mute the spambots - 5 minutes later they were there again. Jagex can't magically do that better either. A good automatic muting system is really the only good way to tackle this.

Game update 19th April
It's not their fault if you're using some other application you know >.> You consistently miss the point of, well, just about everyone. The point is this should have been done THE FIRST TIME not as a fix. Its good they fixed it quickly but the idiots at Jagex should have known making it any other way than easily viewable would have been asinine. Well, sheesh, sorry for misunderstanding something that wasn't exactly clear (Others misunderstood as well...). And yeah, they should've realized that this is needed, but you know what? Mistakes happen. No one's perfect. And there are truly worse things that can happen than not being able to check keys in dung easily for one week.

Game update 19th April
It's not their fault if you're using some other application you know >.> I can't even begin to explain how agitating it was to read your post. What a wonderful way to start the day. Bad design IS their fault. Whether it's failing to provide a map application like Stev's, shoving vital information in hard-to-reach places, or knowing their limitations and working with the modding community to make the experience enjoyable and well-rounded. This is every bit as dumbfounded as their earlier flounderings, founded strongly in their desire to happily ignore any and everything that is their own shortcomings in addressing player needs. I'm going to agree with Jonanananas here. They made it easier to use for normal people to use. They shouldn't go out of their way to make sure that it doesn't conflict with a program that isn't theirs. You're completely missing the point of why it's an issue. The bolded part was what threw me off. I agree that Jagex should provide stuff like this, but on the other hand it might that they have reasons why they're not doing this. And if they are really not capable of handling it themselves, I'm not sure if the modding community is the answer, especially with their stance on 3rd party tools and the troubles of distinguishing between allowed and forbidden tools. Even then, I don't think that this is worth the rage(if I may call it that), considering it's really a minor issue compared with other stuff Jagex has messed up.

wow i expected 15-20 at least Getting a fighter torso takes 3-4 hours at most, and that's 4*375 points iirc. You need 1400 total points to get level 5 I believe, so that's a little less, and they can be all attacker points which are fast and easy to collect. So 3 hours would be the most, if you were a pro with a pro team you may be able to do it in 2 or less :). Wait, this doesn't make sense... W6 (not to mention other "dedicated" worlds) barbarian assault is deserted nowadays: you need luck to get a team in wave 1 (no luck will help you in higher waves if someone drops out). eh? I have no problems at all finding a team in w6 - in the evening there are usually around 30 people in room 1 at least. Only issue is that you're not going such good teams, much like w77 for dunging.

Game update 19th April
Mind explaining it then? I still don't understand why they should focus an compatibility with an application that, afaik they haven't even mentioned once and possibly don't even know about.

Phone numbers spoofed to steal RS pins
Did they buy spins or membership? Someone from down under who's familiar with prices?

This is every bit as dumbfounded as making the keys a non-combat interface. Do they even know about DGSweeper? And still, there's a major difference between fixing problems in your game and making it work with applications that aren't even encouraged to be used or that many people know about...

what is everyone doing in the Arboretum?
If you have 500 vyres burned, it's one of the fastest methods for range training, after chinning and maybe working with a cannon. It's definitely faster than rune darts ;)

Some very interesting figures on magic defence bonus, spectral sucks.
2/3 mage, 1/3 defense You're a bit late :P Wasn't it 70% mage, 30% defence? That's what I remember...might just be some rounding error though...

Botting in Runescape
So they did the bot nuke for giggles? For PR really - by nuke you'd imagine they would have banned all the known botters - but in fact they banned almost no one. I think all they wanted was the stop the bots (and their entire forum and every other rs forum filling up with bot complaints) for a little while. They have no intention of actually stopping cheaters in their tracks, they'd lose money. And money is more important to Jagex than being an ethical company these days. Considering a big part of those bots are goldfarming bots anyway, bans are mostly useless. Technical changes work far better. And they did lose a lot of bot customers through the bot nuke, but they still did it. Optimus will also be around in a few weeks. The simple fact is that Jagex has no way of securely eradicating all botters. If they had, they would, I'm sure of it.

Tip.It Times - 8th April 2012
I should clarify, when I said "nor to persuade the reader that it is gambling." I meant gambling in the legal sense. What's the point of the article? To show why this update is bad, due to several reasons. One of them that it works like gambling though it is not necessarily clear whether it is in the legal sense. As for the other point: If it's deliberately deceptive, then it could be considered deliberate misinformation. I still can't think of one example though.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
Shouldn't you still vote for Obama? If you abstain, you are giving up your possibility to change something. Obviously it will be hard to find the candidate you want, but seeing as you said you like Obama way more then Romney, voting for him would at least push into that direction. If enough people show that they like this and there will be more liberal candidates to choose from, at some point maybe even those who support same-sex marriage and the abolishment of the death penalty. The only possible reason you shouldn't vote is if you are truly completely indifferent about the candidates.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
That's fine. Except you're ignoring how an area with a GNP of $170/person, with no natural resources to speak of, grew into a country with a GNP of about $37,000/person in about 50 years. Socialism didn't get them there, free markets did. We have to be clear what we're talking about here(At least, I see this problem). From what I've seen, to a lot of Americans pretty much everything in Europe is socialist, whereas here it would be the preliminary stage of communism. When I'm saying that the states would be in need of some socialist reforms, I mean stuff like universal health care, employee protection, etc. (Though I do freely admit I don't know specifics of how this works in the USA). It does not mean an economy controlled by the state. The economy should be as unrestricted as possible without causing financiel meltdowns or emplyee exploitation and thte like. Unrestricted economy obviously still is the best driving force for growth.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
What I don't understand is why you're trying to debate the qualities of a candidate from a party you're diametrically opposed to anyway. This is the funny thing: in principle, I shouldn't be. Since I got British citizenship, I voted for the Conservative Party in the 2011 local elections, and plan to do so again in the general election a few years hence unless they trip up badly. Of all the developed democracies in the world, I fall on the left only in America, and it is because the right there is so very far to the right that, in Britain for example, it would be considered a fringe/extreme party. Therefore, my rather simple question was: why vote for Santorum? I was just curious as to why you supported him, because you seem sensible and he is backwards and unable to grasp the concept of secularism. I've not been debating, just making the question longer each time so you've got something to respond to. Yeah it's quite funny how in America Obama is often portrayed as a socialist/commie by those who like to attack persons instead of their programs, when here he would definitely be in the conservative party, and probably be even one of the more rigid ones in that party.

Any point to making pouches after 99..
There should be some pouches out there that generate a profit, though I doubt it's a great moneymaker - I guess you should only do it for those charms you have collected/collect anyway.
-
Tip.It Times - 8th April 2012
You could call that misinformation, though that is already a bit prone to misunderstanding, but it's not deliberate misinformation by any means. As for the second party of my response, it was mainly directed at this: The point of the article was not to establish where this might fall afoul of gambling laws nor to persuade the reader that it is gambling. That's what I was getting at.
