Too much damage
I can understand prayer reducing damage, but how can you really test a 100% accuracy spec in a luck based system against magic def armor? And you say you've survived 5 130s? In Multi-combat? Did you know the power of the spec is REDUCED in multi? Just don't tell people they're wrong when you can't really show them otherwise, and when you don't even 100% know yourself.

Too much damage
Ancient...if you haven't even proven it yourself...who are you to call other people out who haven't proven the other way around?

Fight cave
use a granite shield at the least. Most of the damage you take, assuming you're doing it right, will be from range attacks from the level 90s, so you'll want some defense for that. When I was around your level, I took 6 brews, 2 range pots, sgs, alternate bolt, 2 restores, rest prayer pots. I'd usually have a few brews left, and as long as you don't sit there and let the 180s and 360s melee you, you should be just fine. Just don't miss a prayer switch on jad, and he'll be no problem. For the healers, get them all on you, and run away from jad so they're all in a line with only one attacking you, and so they can't heal jad from being too far away.

Dungeoneering: Bindery
I wasn't arguing that, I was comparing an empowered fire bind vs and cele cat bind
-
Dungeoneering: Bindery
does the magic attack bonus make they much of a difference? I thought fire surge with empowered fire did more than air surge with cele

Dungeoneering: Bindery
oh, I get it. So you're saying it's situational, which makes sense

Who Remembers...
people having 99s doesn't mean they played FOR those 99s....before skillcapes, most people who had 99 in a skill, had it because they actually liked the skill.

I've been dry here awhile, so this was a nice gift.

Chaotic rapier and jad
my last fight cave run I actually forgot my bolts for jad (i melee whole cave but like to range jad due to simplicity) I ran up to jad and killed him in 6 hits...the heals barely showed up my minimap. I'm pretty sure you can outhit all 4 healers, since I can outhit 2 of them ranging him.

Anybody Else Give Up on Combat?
That's a rather small population. The people who Dungeoneering doesn't appeal to have either not tried it enough/don't play with friends/hate challenges. In my experience, they tend to be the people with fishing (or even more commonly, Woodcutting) skillcapes who rarely, if ever, PvM and mostly get on to chat with their buds. I don't dislike them for this. However, if you like any one of those things (any boss hunter should know that the Daemonheim bosses are among the most fun/challenging in RuneScape), dungeoneering should be at least marginally more fun at a high level than a low level. That wasn't my point...but thanks for your input.

Dungeoneering: Bindery
Dungeons are all over the place, sometimes no one has any food, sometimes you leave hundreds of eels on the ground. Generally, your need for food decreases as the average skill level (as in dungeoneering skill) of your team increases. But even there you're going to have those obelisk-merc-mono-deathtrapGD dungeons where food is tight. I'm sorry...but I honestly don't know how that was supposed to answer my question....

Anybody Else Give Up on Combat?
[hide] [/hide] Let's say I'm level 60 dungeoneering. I DO NOT like raiding through a dungeon I DO NOT like killing boss monsters I DO NOT like finding keys, doing puzzle rooms, running through rooms of strong monsters of every different combat type I DO NOT like finding/working with teams I'm an idiot for not liking dungeoneering at level 60 even though all of the qualities of dungeoneering don't appeal to me? No, you're wrong. You can dislike dungeoneering at level 60, because some people DO NOT like going through dungeons. It is not unreasonable to for a negative opinion of dungeoneering when you DO NOT like ANY of the things that dungeoneering is. If I don't like raiding dungeons, I will not like dungeoneering, regardless of what level I am. Also, being a high level in dungeoneering does not mean you're good at it. Sure, it helps to know what dungeoneering is, and what's in it. But I can assure you, there's people with dungeoneering levels in the 40s who are better than level 90+ dungoneerers out there.

Well, I didn't literally know what you did, just what I know a lot of high level players do to gain wealth. So the potion thing is just more out of convenience then?

Dungeoneering: Bindery
Unless you plan on making fire runes every dungeon, wouldn't an Empowered fire be better then cele? Considering your main mage targets have little to no magic defense...even negative (warriors), maging with a plate on is hardly an issue. With legs it'd be pushing it...but just removing your body for a few casts doesn't even interrupt your combat cycle. Would making a dungeon go by, at the most, 1 minute faster be more beneficial to having a few extra pieces of food left for people every dungeon? (serious question, I have no idea. I don't rush at all :P)

Dks, frost dragons, merching/flipping. (you can see DKs loot in there ;) ) Out of curiosity, when ever I see bank pics, people always have potions of every dose in there...why? It seems like an unnecessary use of bank space (whether or not you need it), and I can't imagine someone taking 1 dose pots to something. The potions in my bank are all 4 dose, with maybe some random less dose counts from pots that are partially used. The second I'm able to, I combine them to make them back into 4 dose.

Anybody Else Give Up on Combat?
Lol? Because at 60 you've hardly begun to scratch the surface of the skill, obviously. That's so obvious, in fact, that I feel the need to repeat that sentence for emphasis. Because at 60 you've hardly begun to scratch the surface of the skill, obviously. When I got 60 runecrafting, I hated it. I still hate it 14 levels later. According to you, since I've barely scratched the surface or the skill, I'm an idiot for having an opinion about it. You can hate dungeoneering after 10 levels...because what if I don't like the idea of raiding through dungeons? That's what dungeoneering is, and if I don't like it...being higher level isn't go to change that. Disliking a skill when you're low level isn't idiotic...it's an early opinion. The only differences when you level dungeoneering are the floor types, bind slots and teams (which sometimes isn't even an issue, since if you have good friends, you can just dung with them). The basic mechanic is the same...you start a dungeon, go through it to the boss, kill it, then leave. Sure having access to more might make some like it more, but the core skill is the same...and people are more then entitled to dislike it at an early stage in their training. They are not an idiot for not liking it.

Too much damage
If it has 100% chance of hitting, then armour doesn't change the hits at all, unless otherwise stated As far as I'm aware, its accuracy depends on your opponent's magic defense. So it's not 100% accurate per se, it's just 100% accurate against most opponents (most people are expecting melee damage in a melee-based fight). No, it doesn't miss...at all. The ONLY two exceptions in the game are Tormented demons when they pray from magic, and the inside the warriors guild. Anyways, I think they your defense bonus should reduce damage taken. However, considering it hasn't been that way ever...implementing that now would cause mass rants equal to that of when the old pking style was removed.

Rapier vs. Long Sword.
That's it...I'm editing that out of Wiki...because it's just plain wrong.
-
Anybody Else Give Up on Combat?
No it's not...you can have an opinion about it at that level. "I don't like dungeoneering" is an easy example of an opinion they could have.

Who Remembers...
I'm having a hard time remembering that.. Oh well, maybe it's because people ALWAYS played for 99s :) No they didn't...only when skill capes came out did people start caring about level 99.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
There are almost no dungeoneering bosses where that works Either you can't walk through them, or they hurt you when you do.

Extremes should go around the same spot as turmoil, correct? (I didn't look at his stats, he might already have it)

Did jagex fix the LP restore bug yet?
You mean like...if I fire a spell that would have killed you, you gain 1 lp before it hits and you live? Yes they did. At least..I know they did with melee, because I've killed people with my maul after they've brewed mid swing (after I got xp for the lower hit) I think now it still calculates you hitting high, but only gives you the xp of what their LP was at when you swung.

Improving Self-Grown Spirit Trees
when did they add that? I don't remember reading it in any update, and I used my spirit tree just a few days ago as well....
