  1. Finally got around to downloading firefox and leaving IE - I can't believe it has taken me so long. Anyway what are some useful addons? Any that speed up the browser?
  2. Using claws as a spec weapon in Kuradel's dungeon is definitely worth it because of the +4 on every hit increasing your DPS. I would say the chaotic maul is probably worth it on tasks such as waterfiends and if you didn't have I would still go with the ZS but I have no experience of the rapier there.
  3. I mean that once you reach that level in combat or possibly higher slayer is the most efficient way to train your stats. Before that your slayer tasks will have too easy tasks that will not gain much slayer or combat experience. You will also receive totally awful slayer drops at that level. You should do slayer for your combat training because of the effigies/charms that your receive.
  4. Yup, rock crabs or experiments if you haven't completed 'Creature of Frenkenstein'. Once you reach 60's across the bored or perhaps earlier I would suggest moving on to slayer.
  5. Construction is rare for many of the reasons you stated. People do not believe that it is useful past level 75 and view it as a money sink. Construction capes are very much considered one of the things that people with plenty of money to spare get. I would argue however that construction and crafting are both useful for effigies and past level 97 it is surely very easy to get some free experience everyday with assists.
  6. This wasted at least 20 minutes I could have spent doing herblore but was fairly funny.
  7. I'd continue to skip them personally but to do them simply use a good stab weapon (perfect is Korasi's sword) and kill them in Kuradels dungeon. Use antifires and anti-dragon shield and pray piety + protect from melee.
  8. At what level does this become a viable training method? How much xp do I stand to gain a floor at level 60? What is the xp per hour? Any particular tips for maxing the xp/h?
  9. Cheat

    Ice Wyrms

I would say fire surge because of the damage bonus.
  10. Chaotics are by far the best weapons in the game for all kinds of training. Without them it is also very difficult to find space on monster hunting teams so you will want to dungeoneer at some point. Supposedly it gets much more fun at the higher levels and indeed it is many people's favourite skill in the game. That being said, in the meantime I would suggest using Korasi's sword. It is fast as the d scim and with slightly higher bonuses also unlike the saradomin sword you can use a shield in conjunction with it allowing you to use a dragon defender for the accuracy and strength bonuses and any task specific slayer shields. It also has a strong stab bonus allowing it to be used effectively against dragons - admittedly not for strength training. The Korasi special is also devastating in non-multi zones and is well worth using on tasks that aren't multi-combat.
  11. Very nice Eggs your account is becoming more and more impressive it's amazing what 300m or whatever you won from staking can do for someone :P. But get that farming up!!!!
  12. I have heard some discussion that the sounds have changed/been glitched but I haven't comfirmed this myself and don't know whether it's a glitch or a purposeful change.
  13. I hope you beat Jad by now but if you haven't. Bring between 4-6 brews enough super restores for these. Bring 1 or 2 super/extreme sets / 3 overloads. Rest of inventory is Prayer pots. Try and borrow a SGS from someone (w2) for the waves as its special will help. Remember to pray mage on every wave with a 360 alive on it. Kill the 22's and 90's first then trap all melee monsters behind the 360 and sidestep the 360. It might take a bit of practice but you should be taking very little damage.
  14. The reason bot whining threads are locked is because the topics are incredibly repetitive adding little to discussions that have already been made - not because we all secretely bot and don't want to be told how bad we are!
  15. If you knew about this system and went anywhere you could die with a white partyhat on you are an idiot and deserve everything you get.
  16. First Idea: Terrible - completely awful fantastically so! It would do even more harm to skilling and basically moneymaking in any form. I also don't see what your problem with merchanting is - in my opinion it is a perfectly valid part of the game. Second Idea: Very interesting could do with some tweaks but the base is there. You still keep your three most valuable items yes? I think it could have a bad effect on the monster hunting world however... To be honest I think inflation of prices is inevitable and something we have to deal with. It's not like we are still limited to 400k an hour being good money it is now easy to make money in line with the increased cost of things.
  17. Valid points - however I wouldn't recommend the use of guthans if you have over 50 construction (or whatever it is for alter and portals) have done 'Desert Treausre' and 'In search of Myreque' then getting to barrows is so fast your ability to do fast chests is more important than your staying power.
  18. I think people use it a TDs if they don't have a hand-cannon/firemaking skill to use it well.
  19. Don't use slayer dart it is outdated! Your defence is perfectly good enough to tank the brothers attacks. You have high enough mage for ice blitz. Sell your SoL and spend it on something else - this is your gear: Helm: Verac's Helm > Helm of N' > Farseer Helm Top: Ahrim's Robetop > Mystic Robetop > Verac's Brassard Bottom: Verac's Plateskirt > Other barrows bottoms > Could even get away with Rune Primary weapon: Black Salamander Secondary weapon: Chaotic Weaponry > Whip/Korasi/Dragon Scim Special Attack weapon: Dragon claws > Korasi Hands: RFD Gloves > Regen Bracelet Boots: Infinity boots > Mage Boots > Dragon boots Shield: When using melee weapon Dragon defender Inventory: Black D'hide Top Black D'hide Bottom Spec Weapon Melee weapon Dragon defender Ice Blitz Runes 1 Super Set 2 - 5 Prayer Potions Rest of inventory is monkfish or above. Plan A: (Use this if you are confident of your ability to tank Ahrim's Mage attack at your levels Karil's would probably be needed to do this effectively) Karil: Pray protect from Range and Piety sip Super attack and Strength drop down into crypt and kill him! If tunnel: Move on to Ahrim and Spec him out instead using your mage protect prayer. Verac: Sip your super defence. Pray protect from melee as you enter and make sure to freeze him with ice burst quickly stepping aside to avoid his melee attack the most accurate of all the brothers. If tunnel: move on to next step. Dharok: Pray throughout the fight if you have enough left otherwise flick on protect from melee as he becomes unfrozen in case you've messed up safespotting him. Guthan/Torag: Kill these brothers in whatever order you want they are both easy and should present no problem at all. Ahrim: Kill him with your re-generated spec tanking his mage hits and his curses will only deplete your stats from their potted highs. Plan B: (Do not want to tank Ahrim as you are a [kitty]) Karil: Same as before but only use 50% of special attack bar. Ahrim: Use the rest of your special attack bar. Dharok: Do him before Verac if you are unsure of your ability to avoid his attacks once he is unfrozen -> you really shouldn't be this dumb. Verac: Same as before. Torag/Guthan: Same as before.
  20. My bank is growing everyday from flipping and I'm about to start slayer seriously after some questing and training my herblore up also some dging is in desperate need. My dungeoneering is very low at the moment and I doubt I'll be training it until at least level 50 - 60 from tears/pengs so in the meantime I thought I might get some buyable effigy skills up. 1.) Fletching 75 - 97: I have heard broad arrows are excellent for this? Whats the approx gp/xp for this and is it indeed the best way? I want to get this skill up fairly quickly but would rather not blow millions on it for a 20k difference in xp/hour. 2.) Cooking/Firemaking Both 70 - 97: I don't think many people are looking for cooking assists as it is such a prevelant high skill so I thought I might train firemaking instead because of its use with the handcannon.. I would be using barbarian horn - what is the best method for training - again, I don't mind spending some money but don't particularly want to blow my bank for not a particularly useful skill. 3.) Smithing 70 - 97: I checked grimy's sheets and adamant platebodies seem to be a mere 3.5gp/xp at the moment which sounds pretty cheap.. Would this be the best way? What should I do before I can make adamant plates? 4.) Summoning - Will be getting it up as it goes - no advice needed. 5.) Construction - What would the cost be from 72 - 97? Are there any effective boosts? Is the best method oak larders or is a more expensive faster method more efficient? Prepared to spend from 60 - 90m on this. Farmign and Herblore will be got anyway. 6.) Crafting 70 - 97: Was thinking of simply doing air battlestaffs as they are good cheap experience.. However the G.E limit does make this annoying are there any alternative good methods? Thanks for your time and help..
  21. Use google: put in words like Grimy Efficianado Forums etc.. Let's not have a discussion about why's here :)
  22. Not out of the blue but when you change your email address they do.. I know a friend who was got by that at the same time he sent an email registration change and at the same time he was sent a phishing email based on a email registration change - entered his password and account name blah de blah you know the story - saved by his bank pin though.
  23. Unless he was one of those noobs who only trains strength.
  24. Just a few questions on levelling as I haven't trained these in a while and I might have missed something.. 1.) Fastest experience from 55 - 76 fishing? 2.) Fastest experience from level 66 - 80 hunting or whatever level herblore habitat becomes possible/efficient? 3.) Fastest experience from 54 - 70 RC? Thanks for your help.
