  1. You have a gold bar to sell at the end of it. But the main advantage of superheating gold ore is the gain in smithing experience as well. Trust me it is well worth it for the smithing requirements for various quests e.g: devious minds and the void stares back.
  2. Superheating gold ore is highly recommended with the use of goldsmithing gauntlets as it gives good smithing xp at the same time and doesn't lose that much money. Alternatively you can use the lunar spell hunter kit for faster but more expensive experience. When you hit 80 String Jewellery will net you a very nice reasonably quick and AFK way to train magic for only about 5gp/xp.
  3. Qeltar did some research on this for whatever his runescape website was called I'm afraid I've forgotten what his fansite was called but somebody else will probably remember and be able to supply a link. But his was basically at what kill counts items come and in what amounts you'd have to draw your own conclusion in terms of profit.
  4. You can't work for a torso and work for level 5 roles at the same time. That wasn't what I was saying. My point was if he enjoyed Barbarian Assault while getting a level 5 role he could stay for a torso. Not getting them at the same time. However to re-iterate again I would still suggest earning money for a BCP.
  5. It really depends on the people your coming out to.. And only you can truly know them, however and I know it's a cliché but I'm sure you'll feel more comfortable after coming out after all there is only so long it can remain secret unless you plan on completely severing contact or remaining celebat (sp) throughout your life..
  6. I believe your the same person who was interested in getting a master penance horn for agility training. In which case you will be at Barbarian Assault anyway and you will be earning points. If after you have attained a lvl 5 role you think you enjoy Barbarian Assault you may as well go for the torso. Although the advice about a BCP is valid.
  7. Get your construction to level 47 at least for a mounted glory. You can then gather mort myre fungi in the swamp for around 600k - 1mil/hour depending on prices.
  8. With the use of a war tortoise I'm pretty sure that 13k dbones is about that much it might be an hour more but not more than that. Abyssal demons are reasonable for charms yes - they are by no means the best for charms this would either be Waterfiends or Black Demons however they do offer the chance of Abyssal Whips which is a fairly attractive prospect. But then again abyssal whips are so cheap now they're not gonna make you much money so you may as well gather charms at waterfiends and make your money somewhere else.
  9. Horn is always worth it if you enjoy Barb Assault and you should start really wanting it at 50+. As to agility awards there is a guide for quest experience rewards on the tip.it main site.
  10. Considering its only 13k dragon bones you need for level 90 you may as well use those it will take about 11 - 12 hours. Dragon bones are cheaper than they have been recently but who's to say they won't fall further. In case you missed their introduction there is a new prayer book in the game called curses. The two highest level curses are very useful. They are; Soul Split which allows you to heal from dealing damage to other creatures a bit like guthans but a constant effect while the prayer is activated and Turmoil which provides huge boosts to your melee stats - you get these at 92 and 95 prayer respectively so if you have the money to get these then go for it. Concerning farming monsters for rare drops I would honestly suggest that you just carry on with slayer as it will give you charms for summoning and a reasonably good income at your level.
  11. Grimy now has his own forum. I don't think we're allowed to link it for a complicated reason. You can make unfinished pots for some reasonable money. Also with your stats and a slightly higher prayer you could try out duo/trio arma which is although not great and not particularly consistent money maker a hilt drop can seriously help your flipping cash pile.
  12. Oh well and to think it was 1 day before my new email address became the one with control over the account. Oh well time to quit runescape :P
  13. I had an email registered to the account but I no longer have access to it I have given details of that email address but cannot recover using it. Is there anyway of contacting a human at Jagex?
  14. I have been trying to recover my account which has been stolen or at the very least I can no longer log into with a password that was working yesterday. I am supplying recovery answers that I believe to be correct although they were set a long time ago. I am supplying previous passwords including what I think is the original. I know the original ISP and subsequent ones. I know SMS billing pins but at no point am I asked for them. The form asks for a billing email address although I did not ever give Jagex my email when buying subscriptions as they were by SMS. I provide original post code. Basically I provide information I believe to be good and yet I am sent an instant and automated reply telling me the information has been denied. I had access to this account less than 24 hours ago and now I'm completely miffed - is there anything I can do or have I just lost a maxed melee account that was about to get turmoil?
  15. Also had this problem the other day.
  16. You can do barbarian assault at any combat level really just as long as you are good enough at it. I would suggest looking at tip.it's guide and then maybe some youtube videos. Also take it easy like Nifflin suggests as it is a famously dull skill. What do you want 70 agility for at 80 combat exactly?
  17. Penance horn is a reward from Barbarian Assault activity that rewards double experience in mining, agility and firemaking. It requires one role to be at level 5 to purchase the far superior master penance horn. It is well worth getting for agility if you are even reasonable at BA. As to levelling not entirely sure - do the gnome one first then move on to the barbarian one as soon as you can. Then importantly move on to the wilderness one as soon as you can, you can boost to enter and once your there can do all the obstacles at your base level.
  18. Stakings fun and martingales is a reasonable system to use when doing it, however I would strongly recommend against using money you aren't willing to use. Betting 5m with 150m cash pile = you should still be prepared to lose 150m. So basically only stake if you either thinking 'Oh what the heck I may as well' or you have a large amount of spare cash and reasonable good way to make it back. I know a friend on RS who made enough for turmoil, then before buying the bones thought he'd have a go staking see if he could turn his money into turmoil + extremes, basically he got cleaned and now all he does is moan.
  19. Sqi'rk juices from summers garden. With Summer juice giving +3 and autumn juice giving +2.
  20. I agree it's pretty bad I found it annoying when I was completing my Seers' diary recently. But in the end it's alright and changing it again would just annoy a whole load of other people probably.
  21. The rapier is considered the all round best chaotic and should be the one you get first. Rapier stakes are popular as well. As far as boss hunting is concerned the chaotic longsword is better for Bandos than the chaotic rapier however the rapier is still good. Chaotic Crossbow is also very useful for boss hunting but you will need a chaotic rapier or maul along with it, so my advice would be to get the rapier as your fist chaotic.
  22. I would stick with duradel and if you really dislike some of the tasks perhaps spending points to cancel them would be wise. If you really are starting to hate slaying with duradel you could use Summona for a number of tasks however I would strongly urge you to use Duradel for your 10th task bonus.

    The Plan

I know a Yak isn't very good for castle wars I'm more wanting it to increase income rather than anything else.

Would you recommend frosts over TD's without overloads + turmoil?
  25. Cheat

    The Plan

I love castle wars, always have think its one of the funnest parts of the game my main long term goal in RS is to maximise my gear and stats for being the best at it. You can play this game without the greatest gear but it makes a fair difference anyway this involves making buckets loads of cash and training some skills. About me: I am maxed in combat skills bar prayer: 78 and summoning: 81. My slayer level is 86, other notable levels are 99 woodcutting, firemaking, cooking and fletching - the pro skills. 82 runecrafting, 94 hunter. So what do I need and the current order of getting them: Herblore: 69 - 92 for extremes/whichever level it is I can boost up to them - how do I boost stews? Or some other method? Estimated cost: 95m Estimated time: 15 hours. Prayer: 78 - 95 for turmoil and soul split. Estimated cost: 160m Estimated time: 10.6 hours. Summoning 81 - 96 for pack yak. Estimated cost: 100m??? Estimated time: ????? Untradeables for castle wars: - Seer's ring (i) - Arcane Stream - Chaotic Staff - Chaotic Rapier - Chaotic Maul - Chaotic Crossbow Tradeables needed for castle wars: - Virtus Top - Virtus Bottom - Pernix Top - Pernix bottom - Arcane spirit shield - Spectral spirit shield - 20,000+ ice barrages. So as you can see I need to make about 2.2bil with a starting cash of 45m. By the way my dungeoneering level is 41 currently to be raised significantly this summer. Suggestions on what to do guys?
