I don't know, maybe living longer is a plus? Also, eating meatless brings about a significant reduction in the chance of having a heart attack. A meat diet doesn't exclude Vegetables... so I don't know where 'living longer' theory comes from. I agree partly with the heart attack risk thing, it does increase the risk a little, but if you have a healthy lifestyle anyway, the difference will be minimal (conducted surveys will always be biased, the average meat eater eats less vegetables in general, and watches their diet less) Eating meat is fine, but the average american eats six times the amount of meat the FDA recommends.
