Sarasword / Zammy spear are just nice weapons to have (if you have a large cash pile which it seems like you do) If you wanted to get the bandos right now - I'd probably sell a few of the bandos sets. Gunthans are pretty useless (especially because it makes your killing so much slower) so I'd probably sell that and maybe even the torag. I don't know if you want to waste your money on training skills but I'd start getting my summoning + herblore up more. Extremes (Supers even) actually speed up a task a lot - and you already have piety so it looks pretty good already.

At those levels, I just ran everything C6 all the time. You can do F16 C1 or C6, but it's generally a smarter move to just do the highest level on C6 and do the lower levels on C1 if you're just trying to get your prestige up. Your prestige is based only on how many different floors you completed the last time you reset your prestige - there's no difference whether you do a floor on C1 or C6.

To Zaaps - I don't think that if you average the exp out that it's 2.1 times the exp per hour. However, while you say that training herblore may be cheaper here are a few things to think about: -Herbs + secondaries have DEFINITELY rose in price, I'd double check where they are usually and would just stop when the gp/exp return is the same/close to that of normal herblore trianing -If he sells his whole bank/amour training gear/etc, money making via pvm/boss hunting would be inefficient and maybe even downright impossible At some point, these limitless number of calculations will just be more trouble then its worth. While sacrificing your bank to pay less per herblore level sounds good on paper, I would either a.) Try to raise some money asap (and not sell your armor/whip/etc) b.) Gather some items yourself if possible - or maybe just train some other skill. For example, I'm going to spend hopefully 2.5-3 hours on herblore (I'm trying to raise enough money to pay for it but not break the bank), a little bit on construction (getting oak planks = cheap as hell) and use the summoning charms I've been saving up. Yes, Herblore is more expensive then Construction and probably smarter to train, but there's no reason to have no money in the bank and not be able to merch if a patch comes along or notice something that will have a decent return. Also, I wouldn't sell things that I would use daily - i.e my armor/weapons/cannonballs/runes I needed but anything else is fair game.

Hey, I was wondering if the ardounge cape made ALL drops from the tower of life noted? I figure that slayer ring for easy access to fairy ring + noted unicorn horn will make this a pretty profitable method to train.

What time does double xp weekend start?
LitterBug replied to pkthedreamer's topic in Help and Advice
How have you been looking around, there must be 2-3 topics in the Help and Advice pertaining to this very question. Additionally you can always google: "when does runescape double exp start 2011" Or just look up the article on rs pertaining to the topic http://services.runescape.com/m=devblog/view_post.ws?post_id=114 -
ITT: Whining crybaby who's worried about losing his precious smithing rank. http://barbara.famequotes.ru/hit/en36a195969e1ffa6d20513cceef5e982b&ln=ru I have no smithing rank per se, and I fully support what he is saying. This update is meaningless. What is the point of "speeding up" a skill if there is still no reward to reap from it? There isn't reward for a lot of things in the game. Nobody says anything about firemaking being useless. I think anything that helps people train a skill faster (as long as it's not crazy and nets you like 10 mil exp an hour) is a welcome addition. Nobody is losing anything from having smithing levels, so those who had high level smithing should be happy that they had high smithing and not upset that there was a decent tweak in the game.

The abyssal whip is terrible for training str - in fact, the only way to do it is to do it on controlled. I doubt you would get more then 22-25k an hour though (probably a lot less)

All I was saying was, if the OP wants to focus on cash - neither cannoning blues/hunting chins/killing men are viable options He should just -merchant -attempt some snipes -farm

Because who doesn't love spending half an hour looking for a world with only two botters to compete with in a chinning spot. You seriously would be better off killing lvl 2 men for herbs... For the most part, if you spent about 10 minutes or so just placing traps where the botter was placing his - they'll just stop working. :( I'd rather not lose 1/6 of my time/profit in an hour trying to shut down a bot when there are much better ways to make money as Aeil pointed out. I'm not saying his idea was a bad one. Last I checked, Edgeville man was also a heavily botted place. Anyhow, it's not 1/6 of your time sent shutting down a bot. It's not like you're not doing anything when you're shutting it down. You're just setting down traps - all it takes is a couple of clicks. If you're not lagging super horribly - you should beat the bots to the spot. Anyways, when the difference in money per hour is minimal - red chins are 300k+ an hour and edgeville men are about 350k an hour (It's probably around 300k as well) and you can gain upwards of 50k exp an hour doing hunting - the choice seems pretty clear to me. Btw, what are these "much better ways" of making money that Aeil pointed out? If you're referring to the one way that he pointed out that is marginally better, it's not an amazing profit maker. If you're ONLY in it for the money - killing men in edgeville clearly isn't the way to go. Merchanting is 20 times more profitable per hour at the cost of what? 5-10k melee exp an hour?

How profitable are they? Red chins are pretty good (plus you have the chance to mess up bots :P) I mean it's not amazing, but it's a pretty great way to train hunter. Puts you close to getting into Herblore Habitat for those juju potions.

Are you ready for new high level Slayer content?
LitterBug replied to Triquos's topic in General Discussion
Oh yeah, not having 4b makes you a noob. Damn, you got me. Last I checked you didn't need 4b to fight Nex. Sure if you want to go buy all of her very new drops right now you'll have to shell out because there are still a lot of very rich people who want it, but it's not as if there's anything stopping you from going and getting a drop yourself. The requirements aren't unattainable for anyone serious about combat, it's a good goal. You know, goals, those things that the game are all about? These requirements you speak of are attainable but at the same time, there is a serious skill discrepancy with many of the skills we have. A few handful are very beneficial: namely - all the combat stats, prayer, summoning, herblore, farming and DG to an extent. Many of the other skills are very pointless and suck so badly. I mean really, fletching? firemaking? who comes up with this garbage? I'm just annoyed at how without combat, you're basically stuck making bare minimal no matter what other skills you have. Other then boss hunting and pvm - there isn't that much that you can do to consistently rake in a decent amount of money. The best course of action you can take is either a.) Merchant - but that's kind of pointless because you're not getting experience in any skill b.) Jump on something that's hot - i.e something that people have not created a bot for /rant. -
Have you clicked on any suspicious websites? Have you ever shared your account? Have you signed up your email account for a fishy website that promotes RS help? No offense, but I find it hard to believe in most cases that the person who got hacked downloaded/clicked nothing to get themselves compromised. I mean really, how else would you have gotten hacked? If you don't have too much stuff on your computer - reformat it and see where that leads you. This might be a major hassle - for me though, I have most of my important documents/school stuff and music/videos/etc on a hard drive so it's not that much of a hassle. However, this may not be recommended for you.

Are you using any programs? If so, then I think the answer is pretty obvious. (This isn't directed specifically at you - just those people who seem to have this problem) Stop downloading things for runescape - I don't see how people have "downloaded" so many random things to get their accounts compromised. The only thing I've EVER downloaded for runescape (other then java/directx or whatever) was the swiftkit. Even so, I did some research on it - google the name and look for any reports of people posting about it compromising their computers. ^These results should be taken with a grain of salt. If only one post shows up, the program may or may not have attributed to the guy being cleaned. If multiple results show up - alerts should be going off in your head.
-
Do you enjoy the game? If your only probably is getting cleaned - maybe you shouldn't be staking so much. Or at least have a pool you would never dip into, no matter what. Maybe put it on a different account or maybe stick some of it into an item (but not something super rare and the other guy probably won't accept).
-
Don't want to promote my post, but I have seen no reactions or suggestions to my suggestion... hence I repeat my question: would you be interested in such type of account? I think that would be pretty cool :) Although for those who have already spent so much time on their DIY accounts - I'm betting a lot of them would be pretty upset at that. Unless Jagex has some way to manage every single trade/ge/etc that ever happened. However, there are a lot of people who classify DIY as different things. Some require no interactions with shops/npcs while others feel it is fine to do so. ^How exactly would that work out? Additionally, are DIY's allowed to partner with people for quests (like Shield of Arrav/Heroes)?

Frost Dragons is more like 2-3M an hour.
-
You have 83 DG, why not just train it to 85 and then start on Frost Dragons?
-
They're paired. Such as, Mining/Smithing Woodcutting/Fletching. With the one on the right being assistable. OH, that would make sense as to why people only ask for assist in one skill. Are they always paired specifically? I.e - mining and smithing? Or is it just an assitable/not assistable pair?
-
I have a question about effigies. Are the two skills that they give you random? or are they usually paired? Also, why is it that people are always asking for help in one skill if the lamps can ask for knowledge in any two areas? I tried to look it up on rs.wiki and it's kind of general information other then the experience that each one gives.

Why I love runescape
LitterBug replied to noble_aloof's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
:/ I wouldn't be proud of item hiding and then beating the other players. If I were to brag about beating others at stake, I wouldn't say I beat them because I had an upper hand when I shouldn't have. -
^ I think somebody calculated. Towards the end of the third week - you start to hit a break even/negative profit point.
-
I wasn't suggesting to go and get chaotics - but at your stats, good ways to make money are hard to come by. At best, you can exploit something for a couple of days, before other people who realize that it's an easy way of making money will crash it and destroy profits. However, making money in ways that require high requirements means less people can crash the market simply due to the amount of people who can do it. While farming, and all that jazz are decent money makers - nothing really compares to pvm/boss hunting. You definately won't get there with melee stats all around 60/60/60 (maybe you can - I just haven't thought of a way) MTK is a great way to earn money - you only lose 1% a day. If you do the MTK quest - you should have a enchanted lyre (from a previous quest). All it takes is one charge and a couple of minutes a week to get your approval back up to 100%. If you can't spare that much time, then you definitely won't be getting any real source of money (because apparently you can only play for less then 10 minutes a week)
