  1. I suppose 70 zeal never hurt...and if you want the quest cape. Why wouldn't getting bandos + sw cape be a bad idea if you're using piety on everything? Having verac plate legs, prossy chest and a fire cape is pretty much the same as bandos + sw cape the only thing you're really missing out on is a +1 to your attack - the str/prayer bonus is the same. Am I missing something? Stats for verac/prossy/fire cape Attack: 1/1/1/-50/-16 Def: 161/156/149/5/158 Prayer: 14 / Str: 4 Stats for bandos/sw cape Attack: 0/0/0/-36/-17 Def: 177/164/179/-2/234 Prayer: 14 / Str: 4
  2. Hey, I asked a slayer relation question and Quyneax went pretty indepth into it http://forum.tip.it/topic/287448-preparation-for-slayer/page__p__4724282#entry4724282 It's like a little below the middle of the page. For most tasks - you should just melee + piety, and your gear will depend on you I think a lot of people go verac for the good defense + prayer bonus, some go verac legs + prossy body, for those who don't have 70 prayer - granite or fighter torso/dlegs is a common thing Um, if you could raise some more money - i think the ideal? setup would probably be bandos chestplate/tassets for the str boost. You could cape that off with a soul wars cape for the +12 prayer. For the other slots: necklace: fury > glory > ... ring: beserker > warrior > ... glove: barrow > other rfd gloves/combat braclet/regen braclet boots: dboots That's most of it for now I think.
  3. For a task? I usually bring 4-5 + a holy wrench, a cannon set up, black mask, whip, ddef, etc I don't have piety but I don't see the point since the cannon does the vast majority of your damage and the black demons have pretty low defense. I just pray melee defense and let the cannon rip it to shreds
  4. I think he mentioned Frost Dragons/Tormented Demons since you need some level requirements for it. Apparently - TD's are an AMAZING monster to kill both on and off task. You get great drops/good exp as well as a good amount of effigies. Your stats are pretty close to starting "While Gunthix Sleeps", so why not finish off the few levels that you need to start it and do the quest? Plus they drop dragon claws! :P
  5. I think he was talking about 'power slaying' - in the sense that you have to be super active and grab every monster that spawns. I guess he's also implying that you would have to use a cannon/waste a lot of money on potions/etc so you get faster exp/hour. However, piety makes your tasks a LOT faster at a (very) low cost - it's basically a small investment to turn out larger profits.
  6. You don't need 8 ppots. A few should be fine - I think I only used 4 max. I always bring 5 infernal urns - that should be enough to cover it. I think it's 25 ashes per urn?
  7. You receive a +12 defense in all combat stats (which is decent) You get a decent boost to prayer/summoning as well. The only thing I see prohibiting the upgrade from glory -> fury is price. Other then that, it's an amazing investment - and it's additional str/prayer in a neck slot It's probably one of the most underlooked items in the game (the other being the damn beserker ring)
  8. Thanks for that post! I'm not worried so much about not getting any constitution - I just don't want to max all my stats before I get a respectable summoning level. On an off note - do black demons actually return a profit? I've slayed them a couple of times for my tasks - an although the drops are decent (tons of runes/lower tiered weapon/armor), I found that they never even remotely covered the cost of the cannonballs.
  9. Did you figure out a way to kill green drags/zmi in f2p? If so you should tell us. Lol, it's about time. About once a week, he goes through all the H&A threads and posts nonsense. EDIT: On thread, you can look at this guide http://forum.tip.it/topic/251931-sonics-f2p-runecrafting-guide/page__st__80__p__4709861__hl__runecrafting__fromsearch__1#entry4709861 He provides a lot of the trips/hour (even for different scenarios) and the exp/hour.
  10. I believe that was his "previous" main and he started a new one. He had his name up a few days ago - it was like Kev Durant(##) I don't remember the number
  11. Oh dear lord, please follow a course on statistics. You are so wrong. Which I guess answers the question from the topic starter...: yes, people are that stupid. He might as well take an English/writing course when he's at it :P
  12. Thanks for all the help guys! I think I'm going to start off with cannoning black dragons. For the most part - I'm going to try to use cannons (for the reduced exp) for decent slayer exp and a nice summoning ratio. Anyhow, when should I start to go to TD's (efficiently?) I can merchant for a while (spent most of it getting herblore/getting random items/getting cannonballs as of late) to make money but ideally - what kind of set up should I have? (Off task btw)
  13. Yikes, assuming he plays 10ish hours a day - that's still going to take upwards of 3 years. Although it would be pretty interesting to see somebody getting 200m in all the skills - I really hope for his sake that Jagex either rewards him (highly unlikely) or at least make skills easier for him. Are there any skillers hanging low under the radar and not actually getting 200m in each stat but leveling them up all the same? I figure, it makes more sense to level each skill a little - at least that way, if there's a skill update (like the past one with smithing) you can save some time rather then max a skill and not be able to train it again.
  14. I have a question about summoning for you guys. Is there any low exp/charm ratio? I don't really know how to phrase my question but is there anything you can do that would yield a substantial amount of charms/combat exp. Basically, I want access to those higher leveled summoning creatures (mainly unicorn/yak/etc) but I don't want to have maxed out melee when (if that occurs rather). I do not mind training slower/getting range/mage experience instead of melee-ing. I don't want any ridiculous method either (like level up all your skills so that summoning is the lowest level and just Tog/Penguin Points/Skill lamp/books on it). I'm not sure if this makes any sense to other people but thanks for your time!
  15. Rofl then u got to l2read kid. Just stop responding these posts. It's one random post then 5 posts defending your ratio of good/bad posts. Anyhow, how exactly do you guys say that player x does or does not have the will to get 200m in all skills? I figure that if they're maxing a couple of skills - that should be proof enough of their determination. Kind of off topic but, how many hours a day do these people play? Additionally, at this rate - is there an estimate of the earliest when somebody may hit 200m?
  16. One thing to note is that for tasks where the monster only mage/range - I don't think you get the atk/str boost. Only the defensive boosts - I don't know how common it is that you get these tasks but I guess it's just something to note.
  17. I'd go for 95 prayer. although you dont really have the reqs for Temple of Senn. for curses do you? if not, then ovls. For other posters: His stats are 28 herb and 43 prayer at the moment. focus on getting your all around stats up first before you go for a higher level skill goal. Your summoning is 5... get that up. ... You haven't even done Doric's quest... simple f2p quests. Focus on getting these basics done before getting the levels. You can't possible have a good use for 95 prayer in your current situation. Get overloads then. ^^This. Don't waste your money until you get the basic quests done first. It sounds kind of fishy - nobody on Tip.It is going to harass you for money if you post up your main... Anyhow, I'd definitely get most of my basic skills/quests/items sorted out first. Then I'd work on getting those "extra" goodies (for lack of a better word). I think(?) that you should go get 70 prayer then go for extremes/overloads then turmoil. This is if you're going to train slayer (I'm not 100% sure on boss hunting). Piety is supposedly the best thing to have on most slayer tasks - so just get that and then work on extremes/overloads.
  18. grab some prayer gear (you don't necessarily need it - using elite void for the +8 prayer is fine too) and just melee them with the cannon in the taverley dungeon. Try to place it a little north/west of middle - that's where I set it up at least.
  19. Some of the ideas sound pretty good - but others will make it super overpowered. Stopping a monster's action for 5 seconds? Way too long - if everybody on a team wore an onyx ring, and the percentage is decent, boss killing would be 50x easier. "Cloaking" your presence on minimaps would be too overpowered as well - makes it too easy to kill somebody/do wilderness related things. -The wilderness is supposed to be a place where you should be careful with what you're doing but if you're very careful - you can still do things without dying. Having the cloak would make it extremely easy to pk any resource gathers or even normal people trying to do treasure trials
  20. If you're going to rc - go get tablets for the most exp rune you can make. ^That is if your main goal is to train rc. If your main goal is to make air runes, you might as well figure out some other way to make money and then just buy the air runes
  21. Necklace of skill = teleporting you to guilds across runescape. It's an apt name - I see no reason to change it. It sounds to me like a.) you trained smithing before the update b.) you're mad because you wasted so much time on it but now it's a lot easier c.) you have other skills to train and now you want those skills updated It's funny how you complain about a skill becoming too easy to train but then you go around and ask RS to upgrade the skills necklace (which has pretty nice teleports) so you can have an easier time skilling.
  22. it's for members only as well
  23. That's what I thought. I couldn't tell if it was me waiting and being impatient or if it was actually slower. For oak larders - should I just be using the butler?
  24. If I can make something and remove it or I can make it as a flatpack (at a workbench) are they both the same speed?
  25. click the exp button so you see how much total exp you've gained then hover over it. that's how i got to see my status at least people near me in soul wars are reporting different things
