  1. It wasn't an update in the charm drop rate. It was a mistake with the release of the ROW. I forget whom, but a mod has confirmed that this will be fixed (in the next patch - not hotfixed like corp)
  2. So I suppose you don't mind getting a Jr. Sandwich when you buy a Large then? comparison fail comparison funny. anyways, the statement still stands. I'm sure most people don't actually care about the 2 hours that they lose but it's more a matter of principle. If you pay for something - you would want that something.
  3. I don't really see the big deal. Yeah, a ton of sigil drops but only relative to how often they drop. They're in such a huge demand (and a short supply) that there's barely any noticeable effects now.
  4. Judging by stats, You don't really get charms at a fast rate either. he's saying he doesn't have a fast rate of getting charms either not that the op can't gather charms fast like him
  5. Agreed - with max melee, you could a hundred times better
  6. Just double checking - you should run rapier w/ ddf and claws as a spec weapon? Do people have any real use for EEE?
  7. Hmm, you could always look into home teleporting and mass dumping your fishes to the guy (obviously depending on the situation) Do you all do small/medium/larges?
  8. If you don't want to keep switching between rings - I suggest taking ROW on cannonable tasks. Beserker ring wouldn't really help your cannon's accuracy - and it might be a little worth while. Just wondering - has anybody seen any crazy noted drops at either cave crawlers/black demons? If it's crazy enough - you might actually profit cannoning (without banking the ashes for black demons) and picking up notes. Sounds like a decent way to level combat/grab some effigies

    Scammed 10m

that's not even a clever scam :/ sorry to hear that - but be more careful next time
  10. I'm pretty sure a comma separating two parts of a sentence doesn't count as two separate sentences. I'm sorry Quyneax - but I couldn't resist. Vulxai is using the comma to set off parenthetical elements Meaning: "Unless you already have the Torso, or just REALLY like BA, the torso isn't worth it. " can also be read "Unless you already have the Torso, the torso isn't worth it." Either way, since when was grammar such a large part of Tip.it forums that you felt the need to correct (although you were incorrect ironically) a non-existent mistake? Are you trying to wage a war on all of the internet? EDIT: I PROMISE not to reply on a thread Amitoz has replied to from now on :/
  11. Unless you already have the Torso, or just REALLY like BA, the torso isn't worth it. The time it takes to get the torso could be used to make money to buy better gear. So you're saying if you already have a torso, it's worth it to get another one? That just makes no sense. ...he's saying the complete opposite The only time the torso is worth using is if you already have it or if you really want to do BA Otherwise, don't waste your time trying to get the points to buy it.
  12. It's not necessarily free. You don't pay anything out of pocket - but with bots/etc your chances of getting BA points if you're not on a team isn't very good. If you're going to waste 5-6 hours working on that - you're probably just off using a granite body or something until you have the money to buy a BCP. I'd probably just go with barrows - or at least make some money for the time being. I still like to think that with adequate help from friends that it is a great investment for the time required. It's going to take at about 5-6 hours to complete (unless you somehow have a perfect team) with randoms as of now Since it's not terribly hard to get a million an hour (if you're only out to make money) - does 5-6 mil for an armor with very inadequate defense and +4 str seem worth it? Keep in mind that you won't be able to trade it away for any fraction of your money back.
  13. Meh -- most of that 71 comes from Tears ... :???: I'm pretty much good with a lot of the Dunge work itself, but there are a number of things I really don't comprehend. "Prestige" being one of them for sure. I am totally clueless about that aspect of the skill. I'll take a boo at the links you posted -- thanks for this. As I said, my biggest stumbling block to group/team dunge is that many people makes my computer come to a screeching lag-fest halt. It's brutal. Yes -- I know -- a new computer would be helpful. I may wait till I can get that first. If anyone else has more input, I'd be glad to read it. Thanks. <3: Prestige basically = how many unique floors you completed the last time (before you tried to reset) This means after you reset - you want to do all the floors over for the prestige bonus. The lag shouldn't be that much - it should only come with the opening of a new door (at most it should lag for a few seconds if that) I seriously doubt you need a new computer.
  14. Nobody made such a claim. HOWEVER, a negative exponential implies that the additional time per prayer point is inversely related to the additional prayer bonus. Exponential and Negative exponential show completely different relationships.
  15. So I was right (WHAT A SURPRISE). I think I deserve an apology. Apparently you're also wrong about this. I love how your logic works - just because a square is a rectangle does not imply a rectangle is a square. Negative exponential means the two variables are inversely related but two variables being inversely related does not imply that two variables are related via negative exponential. Are we done here, or do you want to keep this up?
  16. LOL, two things: 1.) If x varies as (1/y)^2 - they're still inversely related Inversely related: As x goes up, y goes down Inversely related =/= Inversely porportional 2.) You were wrong - the function is: 30/(30 + prayer bonus)*base prayer drain which is indeed inversely related albeit a bit skewed. So no matter how you look at this entire thread - you are wrong. Wrong about how prayer bonus affects prayer drain, apparently wrong about what inversely related is, and just in general wrong. Are you ready to stop talking now, or do you want to keep this nonsense up?
  17. It's a shifted inverse relationship - so squareroot2 was right :P
  18. It's not necessarily free. You don't pay anything out of pocket - but with bots/etc your chances of getting BA points if you're not on a team isn't very good. If you're going to waste 5-6 hours working on that - you're probably just off using a granite body or something until you have the money to buy a BCP. 19. All you have to do is search up "dungeoneering guides" Shift through the threads that you find. http://forum.tip.it/topic/289716-dungeoneering-boss-tactics-updates/page__p__4766547__hl__dungeoneering+guide__fromsearch__1#entry4766547 http://forum.tip.it/topic/285628-dungeoneering-tips-and-tricks/page__st__20__p__4763715__hl__dungeoneering+guide__fromsearch__1#entry4763715 http://forum.tip.it/topic/286936-how-to-kill-dungeoneering-bosses-wip/page__p__4733607__hl__dungeoneering+guide__fromsearch__1#entry4733607 Most of the stuff is not too hard to figure out. You already have 71 DG - you should know how to solve most if not all the DG puzzle rooms I would probably go to DGS if I were you - you'll pick up some little tricks like what monster is weak to what type of style, what's an efficient way to gatestone, etc Most of it is practice - at lvl 71, you should be pretty capable of handling yourself in a DG
  20. I generally tend to mentally block out most of your posts. My mistake. Just so it's clear - nobody is arguing with you over the fact that Bandos + Fire Cape > Others Nobody understood where you got the "exponential growth" from You do realize that if your model of negative exponential growth was right - then that means that squareroot2 was right. If y is proportional to 1/(x^2) - Then, x and y are inversely related.
  21. Not to question you, but shouldn't your gear depend on how long you can last as opposed to how close/far something is? Assuming you can finish the task w/o banking - you should go for optimal str gear If you can "almost" finish the task w/o banking - you might want to look at SW cape I haven't had that much experience with slayer but what constitute high defense for monsters? Most of the ones I've received were pretty low defense - I didn't miss too often on them. I figure - wyverns, metal dragons, ? (Just as a curiosity - not that I'll be on them anytime soon)
  22. No, you get the evil eye for posting dumb things. It's like once every couple of day - you take 1 minute to go through the top 20 or so H&A topics and post the most brief (and useless information) ever. Half the time, you're off the mark - you don't even answer the Op's question. A quarter of the time, you give a general response that the Op probably already knew Wanting to help people is a great thing - however, giving them false information is not.
  23. Are you dumb? Do you not understand math at all? Exponentially effective: Assuming the exponential is 2: X prayer bonus will last for Y minutes 2X prayer bonus will last for 4Y minutes. This means that you're getting more return per point you add in. Not only is that totally and completely false, it stacks in the opposite direction - that is, with diminishing return. You're not getting more time for additional prayer - you're getting less.
  24. Talk about putting up useless information. This is the help and advice thread not say useless information thread. Generally GE prices and trends are not terribly hard to predict. I don't know how often these noted drops are being given out because if you look at two of the most profitable herbs - we have snapdragons/torstol. Snapdragons fell (but it seems to be more due to the recent price hike cause of BXP weekend) and Torstol took a harder hit (again this might have some to do with the BXP weekend). For now I suggest keep up your farming - it's still going to be one of the best ways to make money outside of combat. However, rather then waiting til the end of the week (which is usually what I do), sell the herbs whenever you make a trip to the GE. This protects against the herbs from free-falling and you'll be maintaining a good amount of profit. The herb market is supposedly going to take a hit - but nobody can really tell how much/how hard yet. You shouldn't worry too much about losing money when skilling because you have access to frost dragons. I also see that you have 99 summoning - so that means you'll easily make 2 mil+ an hour banking and selling the bones from the frost dragons. Take this into consideration when you're deciding how to skill - calculate the lost time with this in mid. Another advice may be to trade your frost bones for dragon bones. Dragon bones are a lot cheaper gold:exp ratio so while you may not be training as fast as you want - you'll be getting a lot more out of it.
