  1. I wasn't saying that you should train attack. Only that if he did train attack - it would just make his zspear more effective then his dmace. (As in lvl 85 atk vs lvl 90 atk - you would see more of a dps increase for the zspear and not the dmace)
  2. You lose somewhat especially on the higher end herbs sometimes. It's also really annoying and super click intensive. The absolute first thing you do is get that scroll of cleansing - and it'll save you tons in the future For the most part - just make stuff you'll be using in the future (especially if they're not super expensive and you need it to make extremes) For me, on bonus xp day - I made 3k atk/str and 5k def (cause they were so cheap). It's not a bad idea to stock up on those because they're useful when slaying and cheap xp to boot. Make 1.5k or so dragonfire potions then upgrade them to super dragonfire potions. ^Dragonfires don't sell that often on the GE (from my few times that I've went before and tried to get it) I also made a few super antipoisons (just the normal ones - nothing with coconut milk/roots) It's a lot more useful to make potions that you'll be using then potions that you'll be trying to unload to the G.E unless it's actually really amazing profit.
  3. ^Lol The stats show that dmace has higher accuracy but lower average damage If you wanted to level attack - that would only make the zamorakian spear more effective then the dmace not the other way around. Also, in most of the guides you see - people recommend a ss/zspear If a dragon mace was better - it would be recommended (it's really not that hard of an idea to come up with so people must've tried it out)
  4. Well, with 40 bots in sorcess garden on every world botting herbs 24/7, it's gonna be a mediocre moneymaker quite soon :-s But then, herblore would be really cheap! (Just kidding - not really actually) The higher leveled herbs don't drop right? So if you're farming snapdragons/torstol - you should be fine.
  5. are most things posted on rs wiki actually wrong?
  6. If you know the guy in real life - isn't there some way you could try to get your money back? Flipping is actually pretty amazing - I'm only making about 3% gain on every transaction but if I'm not on RS for a significant amount of time, it builds up pretty quickly. Also, keep doing your dailies - buying your broad arrows/bolts from the slayer masters/buying those newts eyes/etc can be just as beneficial (even more so) then farming herbs sometimes.
  7. Will you leave the damn guy alone? He was just writing an article and it may not have been the greatest piece of literature out there, he did spend time on it. Wtf, is this? Last time I checked - this was tip.it forums, not some science journal. Who the hell cares if there are no citations, no meaningful/deep/philosophical theories to be proven here? The guy tried to spend some time and write an article, and if it doesn't deserve to be in the tip.it times, then it won't be. Not everybody is an amazing writer, and I highly doubt that anybody would put in hours upon hours of research, gather up all this data, interpret it and then write/revise/rewrite this article. He's just trying some things down on paper and that's not such a horrible thing. Also, stop this bandwagon - you all are posting the same sarcastic flame and it's only amusing to read the first time.
  8. For the most part - if you think about hunting something, look it up on wiki and usually (at least for whatever I've checked), they state the monster's "weakness" (in terms of style) You're right in that for the most part, rapier is good for slayer (that stab/slash combo is great) Some things that crush is strong against: waterfiends black demons abberant spectres wyverns Also, it's a nice weapon to use against TD's apparently It's also pretty good for Pest Control :P But I doubt you'd be using it for that. Sorry if this wasn't exactly what you were looking for
  9. what the hell do you need two ely's for? if you made money to afford your first one - why not do the same thing get your second one?
  10. Your referring to smelting two bars at once right? It doesn't actually increase the rate at which you smelt each individual bar? (as opposed to the seers village reward for flax)
  11. Is it actually faster? I've seen it a few times - and there never seems to be anybody there. However, on the runescape map (on tip.it), it looks a lot closer then the edgeville furnace but I can't be sure Is there something wrong or is it just one of runescape's best kept secrets (Lol)
  12. Aviansie bots maybe? Whats up with all the guthix kites tho? wheres the sara item? I mean, they all got zammy, arma, bandos, and guthix(?). they are aviansie bots, guthix shield, zammy legs arma coins.. ect, definetly bots, seen setup before while getting arma kc [bleep]ing sad. Nuh uh... [sarcasm] Jagex got rid of the bot problem, remember? They said so themselves.[/sarcasm] Go to blue dragons. You'll see hundreds of level 50 - 80s with names of random characters with granite platebody, dragon platelegs, whip, glory, dragon med helm, antifire shield, dragon boots. Quite funny, actually. I just love how big a deal they made free trade and wilderness returning. A giant publicity stunt, all planned, and it greatly bit them in the ass. Lawl. It was weird - I noticed that too. Apparently they have pretty nice DG bots - since a few weeks ago, I could camp at blue dragons for hours (in the resource dungeon) and I would never see anybody other then the occasional slayer coming in I went there two days ago and it took me a long time to try to find a empty world - finally gave up and just killed the two blue dragons in the north where the bots don't go.
  13. It gets funnier and funnier the more people make the same joke :o
  14. why would they all have the exact same setup? that doesn't make much sense. if i would mass bot - at least i would distinguish them so nobody would suspect i'm a botter. even so, i wouldn't grab a bajillion bots and stick them on the same world. talk about not making any sense
  15. Why only edge if i have done the easy task? :) you need the varrock armor to even use it. you get that from finishing all the easy tasks
  16. look for a pick lock option or something.
  17. I'm not sure but whenever I've ever seen a thread about thieving - I always hear pyramid plunder come up. You might want to check that out
  18. I'm sure if you do like ~15 ish dungeons a day - it'll be a little confusing sometimes. It's really not that hard to write a notation of where a key is - and it's much faster then loading the god damn map multiple times in a DG
  19. Pretty sure - it's not because it's "harder to gather". Ever think of the fact that since wildy has returned - people have started to pk together (hense the team capes). Seriously this thread is a joke. "Oh, wow the ROW price tripled in price! Screw free trade!" No, maybe it's because there's more of a reason to use it. I know it's hard but why not just use your brain sometimes?
  20. I felt that at lower leveled summoning - it was generally a waste to use your crimsons. I figure save those for higher levels - it'll be worth it. For me, I just quested mainly to level summoning. There are a few good quests - there's some that give random exp lamps and I used most of them on summoning. Also for a long time, I was convinced that hill giants would be good charm droppers (since they have a pretty decent charm drop rate but so easy to kill) and this really wasn't the case. Moss giants are even better (although both of them aren't too good) Slayer does help a lot (and once a week go do familiarisation and go kill waterfiends for double the drop rate) It's better to stock up on all sorts of charms now and when you have a good amount of gold/green to burn - then go level up summoning. However, your idea is pretty good - I would totally rush a bunyip. That thing helps you save so many inventory spaces when doing slayer - it's not funny.
  21. Gives the context quite clearly that sentence deals with DROPS the sentence after deals with improved rewards fro activites. (Treasure trails being an activity) Err, it actually does both. It increases the chances of a rare drop (which clues are a part of) And wearing it when doing a clue will increase the chances of getting a "better reward" However, what they classify as a better reward may not actually be a better reward.
  22. I hate skillers that complain that they aren't making as much money. They can, just as easily as the rest of us, train their combat skills and do some Nex / Bandos / etc. I'm fine with you hating everyone.. However, please answer me this: why should doing a certain activity -something which counts for more than half the game- be obsolete for a normal human? - If this was on purpose, why would those skills be added at all, why not making runescape completely combat based, having a steady supply of "goods" into the market (with the GE you won't see any difference between a regular player, a bot or jagex entering goods).. And just remove all those fishing spots, trees, ores, etc etc? Combat is the only viable thing anyways and runescape is all about combat! Runescape would be a very boring game if it literally "just combat" If you took out all the side skills - it would be pretty [developmentally delayed]. You would kill monsters that would drop: a.) coin b.) armor c.) rune/arrow So how would you get more arrows/runes? You obviously can't make them magically appear - so you invent ways to put them into the game. How would you get food to heal when killing monsters? Again - you invent ways to put them into the game. Plus, the other "side skills" do assist in day to day activities. High agility = faster routes High herblore = potions to speed up killing High fire making = ability to use hand cannons longer But from all these examples - you can see the majority of these side skills were tailored to help you fight more effectively. (I'm sure as hell the goal of people leveling herblore isn't to get high herblore so they can make a damned fishing potion)
  23. How many accounts do you have? I remember you had an account like three weeks ago with significantly less stats lol?
  24. That's a fairly one sided comparison then. On one hand - we have: banking ashes On the other hand - we have: nothing You're not accounting for exp for range/slayer/prayer gained or the profits that you may or may not get. In addition - you're assuming each bank only takes 3 minutes. In many cases - it's inevitably going to take longer then 3 minutes. Also, you have to take into consideration that if you have urns - you can just blast away. However, picking up the ashes take time too. I wouldn't be surprised if your estimate of 3 minutes actually came out to be closer to 6-8 minutes. With a task of about 200 nechryals - your slayer tasks would take an additional 30-40 minutes. I guess a "profit" of 2.4 mil isn't too shabby but that's probably a high estimate as well.
