that assumes that you have a kill rate of infinity how can you justify 4.8 m an hour if youre banking if you don't even take into account the time needed to kill the nechreyals to even get the ashes?
-
Not everybody has pack yaks. It wouldn't make sense to bank every ashe just for profit - especially if you're on a slayer task
-
I think the problem with bosses - are the the high level requirements involved. Nobody wants to keep ditching tasks because they don't meet the 70 agility (I know, it's rare to see this but I'm sure there are slayers who do not meet some requirements) or whatever needed to access the boss. Also, it seems pretty unfair for some people. Those people who don't have the most reliable internet shouldn't have to do Kree or whatever bosses lest they disconnect and lose their items. Especially in the GWD, it may not be possible to get to your grave in <15 minutes
-
If you're going to focus on slaying - you might as well put that 50-60 mil to good use and grab bandos. I don't know how your herblore is - but the rest of your items/skills are pretty set. You have to dungeon a lot for the rapier - in the off times without teams or every hour and a half or so - I would highly, highly recommend going on herb runs. By the time you get enough tokens for the rapier - you'll definitely have enough herbs to sell and buy more gear with. For a ring - you should be using a beserker ring (for melee obviously) until you unlock Kuradel as a slayer master. After that, use the ferocious ring in there - otherwise use the beserker ring for all other tasks.

I don't know why people find lunar magic so useful for farming? You have to be pretty high leveled for it to be marginally more useful then the normal spell book. Do lunars get more useful if you're farming trees (as opposed to just herbs)?
-
You could always buy them off the G.E. I think most of the urn sell at below their mid prices. You just have to activate them is all
-
I think it stays as whatever you first set it as. Try setting it to surge and then re-binding it. It's like that with all ammos - if you start off with 125 laws, and you use 50. In the next dungeon - it just resets back to 125 and I'm guessing that's the same thing that's happening with your surgebox
-
Not really - the time invested in trying to get one would be a much greater cost then it's prospective yield. If you're going to hunt for a drop - at least hunt for something that's worth >10 mil (and isn't dropping like a rock) I've heard people getting it from blue dragons - so if you really wanted to make money, that's probably your best bet. With 70+ agility, a war tortoise, and decent combat stats/pots - you can easily make ~700k an hour from bones/hides alone However, it seems that there are a lot more bots (this past week or two) hiding out at the resource dungeon with the blue dragons so I don't know how exactly that might affect your rate.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
LitterBug replied to misterxman's topic in General Discussion
Oh, how cool combat could actually be - a random kid makes JaGeX look like a bunch of pathetic programmers (which they are) I know this is just an editted vid of sorts, but with just a LITTLE bit of effort, then maybe, just maybe! RuneScape combat wouldn't be so lame. And by a little bit of effort I mean making updates that don't suck. If they spent all programming resources on completely overhauling combat like this then I'm pretty sure RuneScape wouldn't suck. Just because something looks pretty doesn't mean it should be put in the game. Memory is especially an issue in Runescape because it's a game that supposed to be available to virtually anyone with a computer. If Jagex starts adding memory hogging graphics and animations everywhere, sure it would look nice, but they would also lose a good chunk of their player base because their computers crash from all the people flying around with angel wings and shooting particle effects out of their super magic glowswords. Go check how many people have enough exp for 120 attack, then come back. I don't believe his comment was meant only for the adventurer capes. Most of RS is pretty simple but if you were to add graphics/special effects - then the game would be even more laggy. Anyhow - I think the point of his post was: Content > Graphics Which I totally agree with - why waste time on making everything look nice when there's already endless things wrong with the game? -
Wow, I can't believe you visited so many worlds -.- Go to red chins!

I don't know much about programming but that invisible thingy idea - is it viable? I was under the impression that every unique item has an unique code. i.e 123456 can only correspond to one item/monster/whatever Also, this idea sounds a little dumb. If you have a monster that's not real, can you right click it and click attack? If your normal RS screen can't do this, how can a bot see the green dragon and click attack? Your idea might make sense if all the bot did to attack was just to left click the target which I don't think many bots do.

My aspiration for a Torva Platebody
LitterBug replied to Triquos's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Wow, I just stumbled upon this and I think it's pretty amazing. Good luck (although you've been persistent as hell so far so I'm sure you'll succeed) Anyhow, I couldn't help but notice that you're at lvl 95 Herb. I don't have your stats or any experience but I couldn't help but think that overloads could possibly help your time there? Additionally, I think if you ever got bored - you should take a day or two off and just stockpile up on juju farming potions. It's a decent way to make a few hundred K every hour and a half or so. A whole farm run will take less then 6-7 minutes so I think you might want to take a chance and invest your time into this. I'm pretty sure that the gold/minute that you get during these seven minutes or so will be better then whatever you're getting at frost dragons (although - I have no idea and I could be wrong). -
^This, also if there is a way to write a program to stop bots - I'm sure with enough diligence - a corresponding program can be written to bypass this. If there are scripts complex enough to DG (even if it is slow), I'm not sure what else can be invented to stop these programmers.

Interesting; could you please elaborate as to how this would be used to distinguish bots from live players? As with the current set of random events, the bot writers would simply solve all of the new ones - unless we can brainstorm ideas that can be solved by people, but not computers. Adding a new random events every few weeks could do a lot of good, so long as it's possible to prevent bots from detecting that they are in an unexpected location, which could cause them to just logout until the bot is updated. These types of changes can catch bots for a short period of time, but what we're ideally seeking is a change that couldn't be coded around, so that it would permanently detect bots. Jagex has apparently already decided that changes which only catch some bots for short time periods aren't worth the man-hours invested in writing the change. I think - ultimately, this is going to be a unrealizable goal. For starters, it's going to be a bajillion times harder trying to make the game such that there is definitely no way to bypass security or whatever fail safes jagex has set up. What we should be aiming at should be a way to detecting some of these botters banned/suspended. A.) There are a bunch of mods (the golden crowned) ones running around Jagex. Often, I see them walk around and there would be bots around but I don't see them actually trying to do anything. If they took the time, they could actually scout out some especially bot heavy places and try to talk to them. Clearly if it's a place which requires clicking i.e chopping yews, mining, etc - you can just ask them a few questions and see if they respond. If they don't flag them at first, and then try this again in the future (kind of like backtracking and checking up on people who may be "offenders"). If they're caught like this multiple times - they should be banned. B.) There should be some auto banning system - I've seen bots fail and the botter just stand there/try to do somethings over and over. If theres somebody clicking one space or relogging in and out every 10 minutes for a couple of hours - flag their accounts. Then check their accounts for suspicious activity via whatever logs Jagex has. C.) Make sure people can't play 24 hours a day for like multiple days straight. The 6 hour thing was a step towards the right direction but I'm sure it's not hard to program a bot to just relog in after that set amount of time. Say if somebody plays for 72 hours straight without a break then I think it's pretty safe to assume that they're botting.

err what? Gold ores are about 250 and Gold Amulets are about 150 (so there's a loss) However, making gold bracelets is only a loss of about 15 gp or so.
-
Gold braclets are usually a profit - however, you do max out at about 27.5ish K exp an hour. If you wanted to - you could mine concentrated gold rocks - grab a pair of gold smithing gauntlets and smith the gold ores you get You can then use the gold bars to smith braclets (however the last part of this step is a little time consuming)
-
For the steam runes - orginally you would need the other talisman but with magic imbue - you take away that http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Imbue Also for the herblore boost - time when your counter is (boost up a stat and see when it drops a level - then drink your stew) If you get the positive boost, count down to a minute (while making potions) - however make sure to log out right before the timer Then log in - make more potions, and log out before the counter again. It's tedious but it's effective in getting you to use the stew to its maximum
-
Slow? With a war tortoise - even if you're not paying that much attention, it shouldn't be too hard to get 300k exp an hour. I thought that was pretty fast :/
-
If you have access to ape atoll - just use summer pies You have an EE, and if you also bring a bracelet of regen - you should be fine. It's pretty good exp, and there's a lot less risk involved. The quest to unlock Ape Atoll was annoying though. Most of the guides on it suck, so if you're going to do it - I suggest reading a these first: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Monkey_Madness http://www.zybez.net/quests/34/monkey_madness/

I'm pretty sure that one infernal urn (the highest level one) should be equal to 25 ashes. The black demons have a pretty decent charm drop as well. It might be useful to bring along a few natures - they drop a ton of fire runes. They have a lot of alch-able items. You don't have a lot of free inventory - so at least you can get something out of all their drops.

Fastest ways of getting 57 summoning on a low level
LitterBug replied to cm023's topic in Help and Advice
57 summoning does actually cost a fair bit of charms (especially for somebody whose pretty low leveled) If you're not hoping to train your stats too much and you don't have the money to cannon, then it's going to be a hard task to accomplish. As the first poster said - hill giants are good for your level and most of the things that have good charm drops are not things that you want to do. Anyhow, take a look at this list and pick out some monsters with low combat levels, http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Charms Hill giants/Moss giants work well -
What is the best way to make money at my stats?
LitterBug replied to brad1431's topic in Help and Advice
I would've agreed with you a week or two ago. Now whenever I go, there's always 1-2 botters on pretty much every world. However, at least they only bot to the south - so if you're on a slayer task, you can kill the two in the north go down and kill one or two and then the top two would have respawned already. -
About 5-6 straight days of tele-ing to house, opening door, lighting marrentils, and offering bones It'll be a little more costly (but by god so much faster) just doing dragon bones :/

Alas 10 herb runs and nothing returning = 0.9^10 = 0.34867... = 35% chance That doesn't look so bad now does it?
-
you've done this before and this isn't the first time (unless you're always sleepy when you're on tip.it) your claim of 5% correlates to nothing at all (other then the fact it's half of 5) In a 2 herb trial: P(0 herbs back) = 0.9 x 0.9 = 0.81 P(1 herb back) = 2 x 0.9 x 0.1 = 0.18 P(2 herb back) = 0.1 x 0.1 = 0.01 Where does 5% ever show up? My point anyhow, is that 54 is MORE THEN ENOUGH of a sample size to draw an adequate conclusion about the distribution of the population especially if the claim is that p = 10% My only problem is that you post in multiple threads - and a majority of the time it's just downright nonsense. If you never studied statistics, if you never took a math class, or if you don't have enough common sense - don't bother in giving other people mathematical calculations.
