  1. That's what I had thought but I was getting a little worried. Btw, 6 runs is actually a lot at 5 herbs + 4 flowers That's a total of 54 trials and with a 10% percent chance of success - less then 0.33% chance of that happening. Of course the actual chance is lower (since my plant's don't all survive - but even so, I should be seeing some seeds coming back) Does anybody know if you buy that scroll and the scroll of cleansing - do they cancel each other out? 6 runs is not a lot to test it on. Sure you harvested 54 patches. But its 10% chance per patch. That means harvest 1 patch you have 10% chance it'll work Harvest 2 patches you have a 10% chance it'll work, 5% chance it'll work on both. Sure for 54 patches the average would suggest you'd get the effect 5 times, but that doesn't guarantee it. For a test to have any real value on something that supposed to work 10% of time or 1 in 10 you need at least 1,000 pieces of data and even then its not exactly a strong study group. Have you ever taken any math classes? Why do you insist on coming into H&A threads just to give wrong input. Harvesting 2 patches with a 10% chance that it'll work = 1% chance that you get a seed back from both (1%) Honestly, if you have a binomial distribution and your p=10%, a n value of 54 is more then enough to run a confidence interval and provide a good estimate of the actual p value. I'm just going to chalk it up to bad luck but I would appreciate it if you stopped posted anything related to numbers in your future posts because they're just wrong half the time and the other half of the time - they just don't make any sense.
  2. TT items all have a "worth" However, many people complain about how jagex implements this "worth" If you really wanted to check out an item's worth - just google (it should be the low or the high alch value - I can't remember it but for comparison purposes, it doesn't matter) It's a hard system to work out but as it is, strange items like dragon battle axe will protect over items worth a LOT more i.e whips, etc

  4. So recently I purchased the scroll of living. Anyhow, it was working on the first day - and I noticed that I was getting seeds from dead herbs/patches I was wondering if it there was any way it stopped working. I went on 6 farming runs today and it didn't activate once. If the effect does work - is there a message alerting you of what happened?
  5. ^^ true, but tbh - prayer is horrible to train in f2p depending on your level - you might just want to camp that place inbetween varrock/lumby with a bajillion chickens. There are often a few bots there and most don't tend to pick up their bones. This was how i leveled prayer when I was f2p a while back. Also, if i remember correctly in one of the strongholds (of security/safety - don't remember which) there was minotaurs which dropped a ton of iron arrows? I'm not sure if I remember correctly - but a lot of people used to bot here as well, i remember being low leveled and leveling prayer and picking up rune essences from here (noted)
  6. Farm/Flip/Kill Frost Dragons It looks like you need to up your max summoning - until then I suggest "maybe" doing TD's or something. Frost Dragons get awesome after you get your pack yak - At your level, I think you can only use a spirit terrorbird and I don't think that'll be very efficient (although I can be wrong)
  7. I think he was asking if there was a noticeable difference in the rate at which you catch rocktails at around 90 to around 99
  8. [bleep]. cba with this forum anymore, well i quit rs so yeah.. u dunt hav to flame everything all the time yeah  Well, you are getting flamed but that's your own doing. If you're going to act all mighty and try to correct everybody's life and tell them that they're worthless/harming themselves when it's clearly not the case - people are going to throw stones. Yes, playing 12 hours of RS a day is probably not the best thing to do, but there's a lot of circumstances you can't see. You can't just classify everybody based on your own experiences - and that seems to be your problem. On an off-note, nobody wants to read a "I'm holier than thou" argument (or any post rather) which includes countless numbers of spelling mistakes, horrible grammar and nonsense. If you can't even spell or even take the time to make sure what you write is understandable - why would you expect anybody take what you're saying seriously?
  9. Makes sense, thanks a lot. Just out of curiosity - on a dead patch, is it equally possible to get any herb seed or are some more probable then others?
  10. Earlier today, I was clearing a dead snapdragon patch. I recently unlocked the scroll of life and as I was clearing the patch - I found a toadflax seed... I was just wondering if this was a glitch or was this how the scroll actually worked. Does it just randomly choose any seed to give back? I was under the assumption that I would get back whatever seed I planted
  11. I love these videos so much. It's so pathetic and funny to watch LITERALLY 3K TOKENS FROM A CHAOTIC CROSSBOW!!!!!!@@!@ (because I'm sure his mom cares, let alone knows, what he's talking about  ) He just said the a word twice!!! Why wasn't he wearing a shirt though... Too bad they're acting. still funny, because there actually ARE people like that. That was acting? I thought it was just a really strange and messed up family.
  12. yes i am f2p. other wise i would be training different. but im only f2p and im not planning on paying any time soon. yes i used to not any more though oh, you're f2p? then i'd say set a goal for attack, then after you get it while you're doing your urns, set the next goal level in strength, and then after that one do defence :D I used to think that too - but various people have done the calculation and it's smarter to train strength first, then attack then defense. Also, lesser demons have pretty low defense so it's probably more "efficient" to train strength first although the OP doesn't want that. If you want - you can always try burying bones at the chaos altar/anywhere with chickens It's probably a lot faster prayer exp (albeit super boring)
  13. Hey guys, I'm a little confused about how many times this works. Is it like most d&d's in that you can do it either once a day or once a week? Or is it as soon as you can find an active summoning obelisk which comes once every two hours?
  14. http://forum.tip.it/topic/254457-grimys-spreadsheets/ How exactly does he keep track of the ge prices? is it real time? yesterdays prices? 2 hours ago's prices? Wow, that thing is AMAZING
  15. Err since you're at a low level (farming wise) just plant whatever you can and just leave - do whatever you want and come back in 75 - 90 minutes (it's unusal that you come back exactly after 75 minutes and the herbs are done growing). At first you'll be losing a ton of herbs due to deaths but once you get that super compost (watermelons are a great way to get it). You can also buy pineapples in catherby and I'm suree there are better ways to get supercompost
  16. yeah, i'd probably get it within the next couple of days. even though it's had a decent time with it's downward trend - i have a sneaky suspicion that people are going to start pushing its prices back up
  17. It's all guesses. If your question is: 1.) Should I buy the beserker to use right now? Yes, you should - the ROW isn't all that amazing. My favorite part about it - is definitely the two teleports that it provides. However, if your question is: 2.) Do you think that this is a good idea to stockpile and later on merch? Probably not - if you look at the trends of most good gear, it tends to fall in the long run. Also, predicting when to sell the beserker ring is going to be annoying. The ROW hype is going to die down little by little - it's not going to be super hyped today and tomorrow, nobody wants to touch that piece of [cabbage] with a ten foot pole. Trying to merch is something that can only be learned through trial and error (for the most part unless somebody is telling you exactly what to buy/sell as). If this is the case and you're trying to learn - playing with items with >3 mil price tags may not be the greatest idea. However, it does look like beserkers will rebound (hopefully), but the question remains - will you know when to sell it?
  18. While Tip.it.forums is a wonderful way of getting information - I think you're looking for a set in stone path way of training summoning. It depends on a lot of different things - mainly: your charms & what you can afford Other then people giving you their list of things to use - there's not much people can do to help. Just look up the cost of secondaries - add it to the cost of shards, divide this total number by the experience you will be getting for making that pouch and that's how much you're paying per experience (more or less). Somebody's going to have to do these calculations - so it might as well be you.
  19. thanks but that doesn't really answer my question....what do i do next after Wolf whistle??...what sort of pouches should i be making...how do i use them?? etc etc etc... i have skills trained up into the 80's but have no clue about this one...bit like construction...have heaps of resources and access to raw materials hundreds of charms....but a SIMPLE AND UNDERSTANDABLE guide to training up would be a great help...thanks again but i'm none the wiser for having already looked at that stuff you mentioned. I thought green actually explained it pretty well. If you're looking at exactly what to train and when then ask that rather then your jumbled, strangely phrased half questions that demand so much but don't really alert us to your needs. At level 20, you would like to stick to your gold charms for now. Since the cost of mosquito proboscis are extremely prohibitive - stick to making granite crabs. For me, (it's going to be different for everybody) I did 20 - 40: Granite crab 41 - 45: Macaw 46: Pyrelord 47 - 48: Magpie 49 - 51: Bloated leeches 52 - 55: Spirit Tbirds 56 - 60: Ibis 61 - 63: Smoke Devils 64 - 65: Stranger plants 66 - 67: Barker toads 68: Bunyip This is my personal list - but everybody's list is going to vary based on their preferences. However, I would definitely stick to granite crabs from 20 - 40 -you don't want to waste all your good charms -you don't want to pay 8-9k for 46.5 exp Also, people's list will changed based on the charms that they can get their hands on. Like you - at first I was very lost but once I hit lvl 41 and I decided to plan out some levels did things become a lot more clear to me. Some familiars just need to be skipped over - just calculate how much some of the things cost and look out for key familiars that you want to be making. Just calculate from there.
  20. Any suggestions on how to get there? From my experience, hunter is pretty slow to train. Honestly, hunter is a terrible skill to train to make money with. Red Chins are absolutely HORRIBLE for money making. Aside from the hundreds of thousands of bots (they're pretty much always infested with bots - or you have to look at sub optimal catching locations/crash a bot by stealing his box traps and laying down yours right before he lays down his), red chins don't make that much anymore. ^I'm speaking from personal experience. They look amazing on paper - until you actually go and try to catch them, it's terrible. On top of that - after you crash botters, some other botters are just as liekly to just come to you and set up the bot - hoping that their bot will crash you. Just as an estimate - out of the >100 people I've seen at red chins, I doubt more then 10% are legitimately playing. Honestly - having been there, the only importance of hunter is for herblore habitat. You start making some amazing potions that will seriously impact how much you money you can make
  21. Actually - ranaars = amazing experience But yes, farming is one of the best ways to make money. There's a huge difference between making money and skilling. Yes, all hunter makes money but so do all fishing/wc/mining/etc Any gathering skill would make money but some are more efficient at it then others. Becoming a member - I know I marked down a few quests that I knew I had to do once I got the chance. They included: -All the ones required for MTK and the helm of neitznot -All the Fairy Tale Quests I, II and III - unlocks a few pretty nice farming gears -Any thing that unlocks transportation methods This includes everything that is a teleport, the balloon traveling option, gnome gliders, eagle, etc Try to quest as much as you can - it'll just make things a little bit easier. Try to get tears of guthix as soon as you can. However, MTK definitely 200% remains your absolute number one priority especially at your level. A mil - 2 a week is nothing to scoff at.
  22. How long did it take you - what was your method? EDIT: Thanks for the video - it was quite informative. You said that 5k may be too many - how many do you consider is a fair number? Do people ever end up using these anti-fire potions?
  23. Hey guys, I was thinking about training my herblore up some more and I had a few questions. My plan right now is to a.) Make 5k Antifires b.) Make the 5k Antifires into Super Antifires I was wondering if this was a viable idea. For the Pheonix Feathers - I will be 1.) Use Fairy Ring (DLQ) then run north - I will be teleporting to easy access to a ring via the slayer ring 2.) Bank via edgeville teleports - I have about 25 glories ^I will try to use a war tortoise for extra storage space and will wear desert robes + enchanted water tiara instead of bringing waterskins I was wondering if anybody could either find a better way to collect these feathers or could give me an approximate number of feathers I could collect in this time frame. Also is 5k Antifire/Super Antifires going overboard?
  24. In case you missed it - which you did.
  25. Do you have another empty one? If not, then what he said is true. You get a choice of Zamorak, Guthix, OR Saradomin when you finish the quest, and have to finish that book before you can get another. He has this habit of disagreeing with people or posting random nonsense then coming back into a thread hours later and apologize for it.
