  1. Any particular reason you want the cape before EoC? Range slaying (I don't mean cannon here.. using c'bow/knives) seems like it will be quite good after the update, and that is always fun, especially since you like slayer. You can always try out aviansies, I guess. Not sure how the bot situation is there, though. Not exactly great xp/hr.
  2. Follow the flowchart, and you'll be fine then. Do the same thing for just orange, and then just brown. I need to wake up in 5 hours to move back to college, so that's all the help I can offer for a night.
  3. Eurgh, let's see, it's 1:30AM. Try out just 1 red spice and see if he says that is correct. If he says yes, try just one orange spice for your next stew. If he says no to 1 red, then try 2 red spices. If he says yes to 2 red spices, try just one orange spice for your next stew. Don't test 3 red spices, because it has to be right after knocking off the possibility of 1 and 2. Just repeat for each color individually. The nerd in me is about to make a flowchart. :P Edit: Here ya go, this should prove infinitely useful
  4. Tip.It says the same thing basically, but doesn't mention that you don't need to test out the 3 spic combo. So do it this way, assuming you go red, orange, brown, yellow: 1 red-false 2 red-false (you know now that 3 red is correct, so don't test it) 1 orange-true 1 brown-false 2 brown-true 1 yellow-false 2 yellow-true 3 red, 1 orange, 2 brown, 2 yellow - DING DING DING Only took 8 stews. (Assuming you do it correctly, you won't need any more than 9 stews.) It's just a waste to keep on using the red spice for every attempt after that.
  5. Nice multitude of logical fallacies. Dicing redistributes the wealth hat already exists, meaning a few number of people gain massive amounts, and some of them sell it. The issue is where that wealth COMES FROM, namely botting. Again, that is the root of the issue. Resource wealth comes from bots, but most gp comes from alching (which is usually botted, but not by gold farmers). Edit: SOF is also a major source of gp influx, especially since the convert to coin update. And WHERE do the items ALCHED come FROM? Lets see, dhide items (cough bots) Longbows (Yews/magics+flax). ETC ETC. SO ya, bots. Hedgehog did say Though to be honest, he might have meant that most alching is done by botting, in which case, :-w But yes, bots have played an integral role in the economy for quite some time.
  6. Yeah don't worry about it. He was either a troll (and a successful one at that, as he did get a reaction out of you) or he honestly thought you were a bot for whatever reason. Some people see a person at bandits, ivy, etc. and just automatically assume that they are botting.
  7. Pixel art always is really cool to look at, and yours definitely does not fail to impress! I personally prefer the sprite on the left.
  8. It doesn't always work that way. It might in this instance, though I doubt it. The legality of their actions (barring tax evasion and whatnot) is questionable, and so just putting it into the T&C doesn't magically give Jagex the right to sue the players. As for my personal opinion on the matter, it's a PR stunt until Jagex does more.
  9. Was gone for a few days, so I'm only now just getting around to respond. To be honest, I never even considered Website Discussion. If I had just scrolled down a bit more, I would have seen it. And yes, I did chuckle when I read your post. :P
  10. Moved to Forum Updates and Suggestions, since you are suggesting a change to a part of the forums. And hmmm, I thought the max used to be 999. I'll go poke a crewbie and mention the cap to them. Your idea seems like a good one. I definitely would like to see this implemented. Edit: Our avatars are quite similar, haha. Mine's the summoning hood though.
  11. Hey guys, Just a quick reminder that if you want to ask specifics, please take it to PM. We would like for this topic to stay open as this is a pretty big event, but in the current direction it is headed, a lock is inevitable. Due to the nature of the topic at hand, discussion of rule breaking (be it Jagexian or Tip.Itonian) is bound to be talked about plenty, so please keep it mind both sets of rules when posting and PMing. Feel free to discuss in-thread the morality of this event, the logistical impossibility behind it, and anything else on topic that doesn't break the rules. But, if you want to start asking questions to a specific player, keep it out of the thread. You can always report a PM as well if someone is heckling you.
  12. Yes, he would like more suggestions. Great advice for P2P. :P Edit: [spoiler=lmao][1:56:51 PM] Paul: also, I just [bleep]ing owned you [1:57:08 PM] Paul: I replied to your post [1:57:09 PM] Jeremy: In what? [1:57:14 PM] Jeremy: .....? [1:57:16 PM] Jeremy: Are you doing that again? [1:57:19 PM] Paul: h&a [1:58:03 PM] Jeremy: Oh lol he's f2p? [1:58:14 PM] Paul: mhm [1:59:07 PM] Jeremy: last i checked iron ore f2p@(*@$!@$#@$ I saved you a post, brah.
  13. You'd be surprised as to how "real" BB guns look these days: http://www.replicaai...osts/tag/hk-usp I am indeed surprised. :o I usually picture BB guns as a pellet gun (i.e., a pump action rifle). Never really thought of them as a pistol, ironically enough. When I first read the passage, I was under the impression that the gun was a realistic looking toy. Not anymore.
  14. Obviously I haven't been here long, but welcome back nonetheless! I hope you like the new forums. :)
  15. I can't believe my old post is relevant again. Please don't bump a topic that is a year old unless you want to contribute some actual data and research.
  16. Welcome back! What specifically in technology and friends brings your mind to said supreme being? I've not heard that one yet, and you've piqued my interest now.
  17. I don't actually see what is wrong with the picture. o.0 Ctrl+0 resets the zoom to 100%. Offtopic, but  for 24hr time.
  18. Is this broken? Yes, I broke it on purpose actually. Was testing something for the crewbies, and just left it because I'm lazy. :P The issue with that is that your advice is subjective to your own personal idea of fun. He asked a question about range slayer - so apparently he likes that. He even stated he tried to slay all tasks using ranging. Please for the love of god, how much struck in a world of "fun is subjective should never be in help topics & everything anyone should say is cold hard facts"; tip.it seems to start to alienate me more and more. Actually who rs community ever since wilderness removal seems to start more and more be not about fun & actually evading fun in discussions. Actually he said he wants to range slay on tasks that it is feasible. Which of course is very few! :P We could argue what actually is meant by "feasible", but I don't even want to think how you begin determining that. We'd have to start bringing gp/hr, apm, and xp/hr into the equation. And try to equate that all to the concept of "fun". I don't have an issue with having fun at all. For that matter, I can't think of any "efficiency addicts" that do. We aren't shoving anything down his throat at all. Just tossing recommendations out there. It's very very difficult to give advice based on what is "fun". For all we know, the OP might personally hate range slaying but is doing it because he never considered different options.
  19. Bai. Good that you feel it isn't a waste. KOTOR ftw as well.
  20. Well yes, we figured it was working for you before.... You now know that the problem is on your end. 1) A hard refresh is different from your normal "F5" refresh. I'm not sure of the shortcut for Chrome (and a quick search says that some people don't think that Chrome actually has a hard refresh), but it is probably Ctrl+F5 or Shift+F5. 2) Try Chrome in incognito mode and disable your addons. I don't use Chrome much, so not sure exactly how all that works. 3) Try clearing out your Internet cache. Either do it manually (it's not tough), or let CCleaner do it. Regardless, it is a pretty awesome program.
  21. I wonder though if the gun was even real. Why call it "realistic looking"? Still though, I think it's illegal to pull a toy gun on someone if you remove that orange safety cap on the end of the barrel. For all practical purposes, the victim thinks it's a real gun.
  22. Seriously though, this story is almost too good to be true.
