This. With the lower price of membership (I'm comparing mainly to WoW. Which as far as i know is mostly, if not completely, bot free) I don't expect to see something like Blizzard's Warden, but there should be something. WoW has as many bots as the internet has trolls, so no, bot free is far from it  . There will always be large amounts of bots in all online games, that's just how it is. When the game learns how to detect a certain kind of bots, they make more bots, quite simply I don't think it will ever end. Back on topic, I would be willing to pay $25 if Jagex found a way to make the ENTIRE game bot free. Which will not be happening any time soon. <_<

Looks like a nice Grand Exchange update, and the spirit tree looks awesome!

I was making (UNF) mith bolts about a week ago and they were selling fine, can't say anything about the other methods, but I'm sure bolts would sell.

It all depends on your personal preferences. I use my lamps and penguin points on summoning because it's a skill that benefits me, but I don't like to train. If you don't have any skills that you don't like to train, then use it on a skill that would be expensive normally, like herblore or construction.

I played WoW for awhile and I didn't see any bots... You didn't look hard. WoW is worse than RS with bots and Blizzard even allows small macros so they pick up the illegal macros less. Do a herb run or two on WoW you'll be seeing about 20-40 druid bots on each herb spawn. In RS terms, imagine 40 bots on a yew tree yea it can get that bad. Not saying that it is always that bad, but the same can be said for RuneScape where sometimes there isn't a bot in sight, then you'll be shocked when you go to Frosts, green dragons ect. But people who say WoW doesn't have bots have never done a herb run.

This, the new system with the screen you have to bring up is too... corporate. I think as many screens in RS should be parchment-like as possible. Exactly it just doesn't fit the style imo. The old task system fit the style of the game, the new one just doesn't. Still don't understand why they took them out in the first place, if they were just going to leave an empty tab.

Was about to post what Michael had said, but to add to this I didn't know that they were dropping all around RuneScape, I was under the impression that it was just around the clan camp portal. Maybe more and more will be showing up when it comes closer to the release?

Was doing some runecrafting the other day and noticed it, I don't see it as anything very major, but I've heard that Jagex are working on it. Probably won't get a fix until after citadels because I think they are to busy with that to worry about anything else.

Ask Jagex About Clan Citadels! - ANSWERS!
TheGuthixSword replied to tripsis's topic in General Discussion
Will we be able to train combat or skilling, or both? And is the decision of the training methods up to the clan owner, like if there are magic trees, or rune rocks, an agility coarse or a furnace , stuff like that? Also will there be a bonus to training on a citadel compared to traditional methods? By the way this sounds like a great update, even though I might have to join a new clan because mine is just about dead. <_< -
Jagex joke? Do we really need rocks falling from the sky "hinting" to a update that has already been announced, when we're still being overran by bots. Wonderful prioritizing. <_<

Can there only be one? No, of course there can be more... But bear in mind to compete with zybez you would need to account for other peoples times zones (Zybez is 24/7), Have a large (very large) collection of music with a few dj's from different time zones willing to put their time into your station. Host events ingame during your shows... By all means go for it, i just think you wouldnt hold it out with a 3 man team. This would be the main problem, I mean Zybez djs and there team get paid I'm sure and do this for money just like espn does for sports. It would be hard to compete, but if you got the people on tip.it listening you might be able to find some talented people that would help for free. And by the way, I don't want to seem like a jerk for saying it would hard to compete, I just want to make sure that you know what your getting into before you put the effort into this. Good luck though if you try to do this!

When are they going to annouce the next bonus weekend?
TheGuthixSword replied to brad1431's topic in Help and Advice
They haven't guaranteed that there will be another. IF there is one though, I don't think that they would announce it early, maybe like a week and a half before the event because they want the impact on the economy to be as minimal as possible. I kind of hope they don't have another one, not that I don't like the bonus exp, it's the fact that there is the month after the event that almost all the raw materials like fish and ore are used up and it takes a while for the supply to be brought up again. <_< -
This. You can also try RuneCrafting. It's amazing money once you can craft laws. Then their is double nature runes at 91 which is amazing money. Don't force your self to RuneCraft though, its a skill that some people think is fun(like me) and some can't stand it. You should also mix in some Herb runs during your RuneCrafting. Good luck with what you choose.

Why do dragon bolts not rise in price?
TheGuthixSword replied to AresArtemis's topic in Help and Advice
It's a dead item. No one uses them because mith and broad bolts are more cost effective, and the ring of stone, glory, and the likes are better uses for DragonStone. -
I haven't tried it personally, but what I've been hearing(And obviously others have too) is that there isn't a big difference. This is the kind of thing that I can picture Jagex making more powerful in a update.

What if Jagex changed the rules and permitted botting?
TheGuthixSword replied to Sly_Wizard's topic in General Discussion
I would probably still play, just not bot. It wouldn't give me the satisfaction that I get from the achievements that I get in game if a bot did it for me. Honestly the whole botting thing has always seemed really stupid to me, it's like buying a video game thats finished. (Sadly they do sell those. ) -
I think this is the funniest most pathetic excuse for a review I have ever seen after all of Black Ops reviews. Funniest part of the whole thing is him calling the NPC's bots TBH. The part where he said something along the lines of there being lots of things to do and for you to explore with no real visible end in sight and saying it like it's a bad thing, is when I knew I should stop reading so I wasn't tempted to throttle this guy. :wall:

Disturbing new trend in spambotting
TheGuthixSword replied to jasignhagj's topic in General Discussion
I thought that this might be getting better, because I haven't seen any around for a while. Last one was at the G.E. about 2 months ago. Guess I should count myself lucky! :ohnoes: -
I like the holiday events, they give a nice break from the normal skilling and monster killing. It's also cool to get a new item for looks and to be able to change up your look for a little bit. Also from someone who knows a fair bit about graphics, the design of these areas is amazing, great particle effects and it gives them a time to test new ideas with the holiday items and effects. Normally I like seeing what new ideas are used for the holiday event and seeing how they might be implemented into the real game.

Yes, I do understand the concept of the wilderness, but my point is how pathetic it was, that he was trying to PK me with around 10k gear on, It's just an unwanted annoyance. I agree completely with this, it is just sad and pathetic that people have stooped this low. I've been killed there when I had nothing but 2 cakes and boots of lightness. Even though I can kind of see the logic in this because if I remember right it does give a lot of exp for the level required. Still I wouldn't mind them lowering the exp rates and making the whole course non-combat, or making another course with the same level requirements, but with less exp and non-combat. [When I said I can see the logic in this, I didn't mean by the people doing the killing, I mean't Jagex's putting the course there.]

While I do agree with the fact that bots do wear that armor, bots wear pretty much all kinds of armor in the game, it just depends on the area that your looking for them in. You could say an agility bot wears a spotted cape, then everyone wearing that cape should be banned. Or that you saw a Fishing bot with a Fishing cape, lets just ban everyone with a fishing cape on. <_< While I do hate bots, we need logical answers.

Wish I could go, but I'm underage, and I couldn't afford plane tickets. Still, I'm looking forward to being able to watch the videos of it!
