Red dragonhide/leather
Eventually bots will deflate the entire community, then there will be no place for people to go "well my money making activity doesn't get botted so I don't care." Forget free players, once the bots [bleep] the last remaining money maker for members, that's when you'll see people start quitting out of frustration, apathy, and disgust for Jagex's inaction.

So my kid was banned!
Scepting isn't a word. Sceptic, thanks for correcting my spelling while English is my third language. I'd love to see how you write a decent, well phrased comment in a foreign language without the space to make a small error once in a while. Arrogance? Yes indeed... Except it's not a misspelling. You didn't spell it "sceptic" or "skeptik," you said "scepticing," you used an adjective as a verb, which would be like me myself referring to someone as "blancing" because he was being a showoff at the gym. As for arrogance, the only arrogant person here is you because you apparently acknowledge that you don't speak three languages 100% fluently (and who would? I speak English, ASL sign language, and a mixture of Russian/Croatian and mess up on those), yet your attitude on improvement is apparently "[bleep] that." That's arrogance, and incredibly rude, and the fact that you immediately jumped down my throat and used the "third language" bit as some kind of race card would be like someone accusing me of criticizing them over the internet because they were black, a factor I'd also not be able to see. Also I didn't know English was your third language, given you know terms like troll, sadist, how to effectively use English abbreviations like tbh, the correct use of the "theres," and correct use of possession and suffix placement. You sure do know how to assault someone like you know fluent English, let's see you make a constructive post in the same manner now.

Disturbing new trend in spambotting
friendslist to friends. Easy solution take it or leave it My friends list is always reserved for my friends. Doesn't stop random people from private messaging me, so I don't see your point.

[Discussion] gambling in runescape, RS Mafia&CO, solutions to the problem
Yep. Jagex really can't start banning dicing, as much as I'm sure they'd like to. It'd put a pie in their face with the whole "Jagex doesn't like emergent gameplay? Yes we do! Here are tools for emergent gameplay!" *Emergent gameplay appears* "THAT'S NOT WHAT WE INTENDED!" *BAN* Plus it would once again prove that Jagex doesn't understand the fundamentals of emergent gameplay, namely that it may not have been intended by the developers.

Facebook Exclusive 20% Discount
That's a free month of membership every five months... that's like a free Chipotle burrito!!!! Edit: just shared on all my FB friends walls Edit2: weird-- nearly half my FB friends list is gone. FB must be updating their website again or something... Far less diarrhea than a Chipotle burrito, but a whole lot more bull [cabbage].

DIY only accounts
It is ego driven, like the people who post endurance runs on games like "Final Fantasy beat with one character" or "all white mages" etc, and then post the videos up on Youtube.

You just like the lower prices because you're bad at money making.

It's a clever way to get people to buy membership. I am 99% sure that Jagex's plan with the "Loyalty" crap is about money. And i bet there will be players going around with these "auras" thinking "I am loyal". Reality is, and with Dave chappelle voice: NO [bleep] your a addict! It is a way to get people to subscribe more, but Jagex's job is to get people to subscribe more. To do so, they have to treat their free players with proper respect but also hold that carrot above their heads so they want to fork over some cash. Also to do so, they need to ensure that members are treated fairly so I'm sure there will be something to assist payers who don't get renewed several days before the subscription ends. Otherwise they stand to piss off and possibly lose people. Not a substantial amount, but people nonetheless.

They only needed to explain it because the majority of Runescapers haven't played other MMOs and thus don't know basic systems Runescape doesn't use, like loyalty rewards. I had to read the BTS over several times because i couldn't figure out where people were seeing microtransactions before someone in this thread finally made the connection between the two.

Did you summon a familiar to learn about smithing? The obelisk is in that room with the wolf and two rangers on separate platforms. ah no missed that one ty. You need a gold charm and two heimcrabs.

Jagex probably also expects a good few people might go inactive but keep their subscriptions running to keep accumulating loyalty points. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON-7v4qnHP8

As your normal self or as one of the DG characters? I was Owen. I tried it, sent me back to starting room. Which area were you in?

Bugs bugs bugs bugs. I finished the unabridged version. When I got back to the storyteller, I was immediately knocked down to 47lp, almost died.

You're comparing concept art that doesn't follow polygon restrictions to an in-game item. More like 90 fishing to catch this:

Noobs say the funniest things!
That's a poor way to train a dog. If you teach him that being annoying will get him what he wants, he'll just keep annoying other people.

I like certain distractions and diversions. Penguin Hide & Seek is a way to get up the skills I hate, and things like the shooting star/evil tree work out just as Jagex expected, something you just come across. Ancient Effigies, court cases, shattered heart, etc are just something to do when they appear. I wonder what the cooldown time is going to be. It will likely work like Runescape's membership price, where if you're under the grandfathered price it stays if you laps for a week (I think) for those whose cards expire.

No, it means that if you cancel your membership, you'll retain your points but your rate of increase will be reduced the next time you buy membership. Ex: 200 - 250 - 300 - 350 - 400 - 450 - *skipped month* - 300 - 350 - etc. Also: in response to the microtransactions rumor that was quickly squashed, I guess that's why they call Runescape the entry point into MMOs. If any of the people who instantly starting whining about microtransactions were familiar with MMO terms, loyalty points are an alternative to loyalty rewards. Rather than reward players with a select item per month/set of months, they are rewarded points to choose what they want.

Jagex taking stance
THANK ME! Link me to the thread, please! Jagex rakes in the profit like there's no tomorrow. They could hire a team of bot busters and have the problem fixed by next week, and they wouldn't put a dent in that profit margin.

RuneScape Membership Cards - Price Increased
I was at Target today and my store still has the 30/90 day cards at the old price.
