  1. Yea, wasn't Jagex banning 80,000 a week in 2007? That means that they're bot banning capabilities are effectively 1/8th as useful as they were, or they were lying before about the numbers.
  2. Have people spent time in jail for hacking RuneScape accounts? :o Any kind of phishing is illegal and can carry criminal charges. In New York for example: A Class A misdemeanor carries a jail sentence of up to a year.
  3. You know what I would like to do that mod? Slap her over the face with a trout. Sure, mods are not forced to act, but when it's so obvious and so easy to report you have to be a fool not to report it. Sadly -- I've see this kind of thing happening all the time, every day. I've sat fishing with friends on the beach in Catherby (it's a social thing), and watched numerous bots wander up and down the same segment of beach, waiting for a Cage/Harpoon spot to appear, all the while a Pmod sits on the beach and does bupkus about it. I'm only mentioning this most recent case in light of the "we're busting dem bots" announcement ... <_< That's because Jagex has the worst standards of any MMO for their player moderators, and that just leads to trashy moderators.
  4. [/hide] In all seriousness, I'm going to take a good long stay at Livid Farm. Once I buy a few ten-thousands of runes. It'd be more interesting if there was more to do, I'd like to see Jagex expand it.
  5. Back when people were talking about Jagex rolling back levels but not items, I considered botting a level 3 up to 99 mage, getting him the cape, then having him be rolled back. Why? For [cabbage]s and giggles.
  6. I would lead the Jagex mod to world 2 Falador, where I would say: Me: "You come into my POH, drink my tea out of my larder, insult my clanmates and threaten my butler with slavery? Oh I've chosen my words very carefully, Jmod." Jmod: "This is blasphemy...This is madness!" Me: "Madness?" Then the Jmod uses a command to kick himself from the server, while simultaneously posting a server-wide (or service-wide) message: *mtomali has killed Mod _____: "THIS IS RUNESCAPE!"* Then I'd sit in chat for like...50 minutes while the forums erupt from the system message. I'd probably offer to make the Jmod a cup of tea, and fry my computer trying to force the cup into the CD drive. Then I'd force him to create a new rank of player, with a black crown symbol next to their name, and have it next to my name. What does it signify? Bringer of Jmod death.
  7. Yes to Shattered Heart, no to Champions Challenge. Shattered Heart may take a while if you have bad luck, but Champions Online you can spend countless hours on (like I did) and still never get a single scroll. With Shattered Heart, a statue could probably be completed in the span of a day, but you still have a minimum period of 30 weeks to fully complete the statue. I just don't support a system that relies on a number so out-of-bounds that a large number of people will never accomplish it, not out of lack of skill, but simply because they grind imps for weeks on end, and still never got the challenge scroll.
  8. I agree with this. At least let us filter out specific sections ("my ___ level is __") so those who must use quick chat (specifically those under 13) don't feel entirely alienated.
  9. You can't always get what you want. Learn to deal with it. Yeah i know, but i haven't gotten what i want for past 3 + months now. I thought world elvolved around me you know... Well it does, but earthquakes occasionally knock the earth slightly off its orbit, so it doesn't run perfectly.
  10. You can't always get what you want. Learn to deal with it.
  11. Title: YOU'VE WON! *click* "Check with Diango in Draynor for more details..." *goes to Diango* Diango: So you're the big winner, eh? I've been asked to give this to you. Just make sure you fill out the appropriate forms to claim it. in the chat box: "you fill out the forms Diango hands you and he gives you 1k"
  12. Then stop posting on a RuneScape fansite and take your crap posts elsewhere. I don't think I've seen anything but you complaining about Jagex for the last few months at least. Not everyone is a sycophant or a Jagex apologist. ;) Fact of the matter is, Jagex does far more stuff deserving of criticism than stuff deserving of praise. One crybaby coming to the rescue of another. I see nothing but [cabbage] posting out of you, as well.
  13. Jagex advertises by the calendar month, which equates to however many days there are in that month. A calendar month is still a month.
  14. I'd expect this thread out of some twelve year old who just joined last year, not someone who was here since 2005.
  15. Only until jagex countersues and the op becomes the first person ordered by a court to go outside and do something productive with their lives.

  17. Metal dragon made of cheese? Cheese isn't a metal. Can't call it a metal dragon if it isn't made of metal.... Stop injecting logic into jokes.
  18. Someone has not done anything wrong just because they spend their life playing a game. But there is alot more to life than games, and that's what OP is pointing out. Many people say "Self controll" and that kind of stuff, but i find that crap to be honest. Self controll? If you find a activity fun, will you really restrict yourself to 1 hour a day? Or will you play more than 2 hours? Or maybe 4 hours a day? You just defined self control: Being able to stop doing something even if you find it fun, so you're not overdoing it. It's not too often someone proves themselves wrong in their own argument.
  19. If you're going to quit, then quit. Step 2 is to stop posting on the game's fansite. You can tell GaVaTi is an xBro, among the ADHD-addled console generation that can't fathom the idea of long term goals.
  20. OP reminds me of the type of people who scream that "oh, I ate McDonald's every day for ten years and never did exercise, we should have government regulations on how much McDonald's you can legally eat." Just because you have no self control doesn't mean the rest of us do. I play Runescape, yet I manage to hold down two jobs, I manage my own website, just recently received my Associates Degree in Communications, and am now working on my Bachelor's degree. I'm underweight, but still in shape.
  21. Yes and it's one of the worst game's we've ever laid our eyes on LOL. I think the reason most of us don't leave is because we (the ones playing for years) don't have the time to start a game that's actually good, plus this game is cheap - and you get what you pay for. plz Skyrim come out sooner  Don't talk for anyone other than yourself, especially when your signature is laden with one of the hundreds of cookie cutter Korean cash shop games.
  22. Pure is banned and gold is transferred back. Were you trying to make some kind of point?
