If you really, really want to stretch the meaning, fine, this can be discussion. Is it thoughtful or productive? Does it have any basis for its speculation? No. All it has is a confirmation that JaGex may release summoning. After that, this... discussion... goes on to speculate how bad summoning will be by forming conjectures that bases off the OP's expectations. Where do those expectations come from? I don't know. If this thread is worthy of being called a discussion, then its proof that this forum is going to the [cabbage]ters. Lets "discuss" how something we know nothing about sucks, based on what we don't know!, as opposed to, "Lets speculate on different ways summoning can be implemented and used!" And JaGex does listen to the players. On the rsof. You even said they listen to suggestions on the RSOF suggestion forum. But this is tip.it, and this thread is NOWHERE close to a suggestion thread. It sounds more like a rant. JaGex rarely listens to complaints unless its large, and this... complaint... is neither large, nor worthy of even being a complaint. I brought no axe here. What possibly could i say thats positive? You make it seem like if i don't say anything that goes along with the OP, its rude. Your last paragraph comes closer to discussion than the OP's ever will. How do you know you can train/use summoning alongside a skill? How do you know JaGex will allow you to use strictly what you summon to attack, while you do nothing? What if, you can't? What if its strictly combat? What if its not? I see people high alching while they wait for herbs to grow, ranarrs and snaps give nice yields, so they're training two skills at once, and making money. Should farming be nerfed? How about alching? But then again, how do you know it will function like that? What are the high level rewards? Stronger monsters to summon? I see people using curse spells while doing slayer tasks, thats THREE SKILLS AT ONCE!!! Magic, slayer, and combat, should they be nerfed? They're using magic to make it easier to kill their slayer targets, thats unbalanced! And what skills would be obsolete? You haven't even mentioned skills that could relate to summoning, so what skills do you speak of? And how do you know theres no risk? Maybe your monster would die and the blue dragon you had fighting it attacks you? Well, that assumes you can use just your summoned monster, so i can't say that for sure. And of course, you could make tons of money, because summoning will be completely free of cost! or will it? I dont know; in fact, no one does, so i am in no position to make such a statement

Funny you should mention that, this is a General Discussion forum anyway. That is exactly what this forum is for, discussing. I did not complain, I am merely asking why people think Jagex would introduce a skill that, in my reasoning, would have little benefits to other skills. That is the depth of Runescape, you level mining to level smithing, you level smithing to fight, level crafting, level ranged, etc; you level ranged to get better drops, you get better drops to afford better gear, and the cycle continues. How would a summoning SKILL increase that depth? To me it would not hence my question. You missed my point. How do you know? How do you know it might not use runes? How do you know it might not complement combat? Or Slayer? Or Hunting? Or Prayer? This is not a discussion. This thread is "post theories on how summoning will suck, even though we know nothing about it". A discussion would be "How might JaGex engineer summoning so it compliments other skills?" Anyways, you would see your logic fails because every new skill introduced already has complimented another - Rc has magic, construction has combat, woodcut, magic, prayer, slayer, cooking, crafting, smithing, and mining, hunter has range, woodcut, thieving, anything to do with weight, combat, and anything the implings supply, slayer has all forms of combat, and farming has cooking, herblore, and woodcut. So what possible train of logic would make you think that summoning would NOT follow this trend?

is that all lunar has to offer? Ancients and normal already have the vengeance counterpart, except those two actually have more to offer Lunar sucks because it has little to offer. Besides vengeance, the spellbook swap is all it has. Everything else costs too much or uses too many different runes to be carried all at once. And every spell uses astrals. Pretty annoying, since its a guaranteed -1 inv space It seems like JaGex engineered it to give us new, different ways of doing things, but they were afraid of overpowering it, so they sacrificed efficiency by jacking up costs and increasing rune usage.

My god, i hate these threads. Has summoning come out? Do you know how its going to function? Your theories and predictions mean nothing, since 1. you don't know what JaGeX is going to do (or if they're going to do anything in the first place) and 2. JaGeX DOESN'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK. Nor are they likely to read this thread, anyways. You can start complaining (sigh...) when and if the skill comes out.

The computer I have, the one in my room/the one i'm on, is seven years old. Everything in it has been updated at one time or another, except the processor, motherboard, and one of the 256 ram cards. But its slow. Very slow. The motherboard and processor are old and most likely outdated (512 ram max, usb 1.0, etc) So i'm thinking, hey, im going to get some cheap pieces and put them together. After browsing newegg for about 30 seconds, i realized i had no clue what i was looking at. And then i remembered, i don't know anything about computers! I don't know if you're in high school, or remember anything from high school, but schools are filled with [bleep] and [bleep]s, and they keep getting younger. ffs, this is just middle school. to let this go with just a slap on the wrist (detentions and suspensions don't even go on record in middle school) And so, what can the school do about it? I quickly read over the article once, and it doesn't say who pressed charges. It likely wouldn't be the girls, since thats social suicide. The school probably only brought it up. It was most likely the parents of the girls that got involved after the school brought it up. At that point, the school is putty in their hands. If the school resists, they're advocating the behavior, and would probably lose support/ funding/students. If they go along with it, they look good - in this day and age, reforming against sexual "assault" looks ideal, especially considering that most parents involved with their kids are mothers, as opposed to fathers despite how silly it looks, theres no way a school can look at [wagon] slapping or scooping as forms of saying hello. silly, yes, but thats just how things work

if you plan to use a zerker, use a helm of neitzenot instead. its strictly better than the zerker helm. and looks better

As far as I can tell, they drain at the same rate as having 2 of the 15%'s on. :D and it goes on with only one click, no lag or miss-clicks =D and it works WITH prot prayers

I made it through the wave with two sharks and a dose of sup restore (and sup set). They each drain stats - one each, and they drain half of whatever they hit, rounded up. All i remember is lancelot drains def

b2p is the best way to camp at dusties dusties don't hit hard. They hit waaaay less than fire giants 41-65 is 400k xp. Assuming 40k combat xp/hr, thats 10k slayer/hour, which means about 40 hours. less if you get more xp, even less if you use cannon

thats stupid. real life is 100x more competitive than rs. but you don't see people kicking people off public computers so they can research, or tripping the pizza guy of your competitors, do you? Theres no excuse, anywhere, to not behave like a human being

back when barrows didn't give you the brother by clicking the chest (you had to go through doors until he spawned) 5 brother kills were very common - people didn't want to waste time going through doors (sometimes it'd take 10+ min) so they'd skip the 6th brother. I've had multiple 5 bro kills, sorry =/
