  1. When I was still a freeloader (f2p), I used that Shantays Jail Express often. Back then it seemed perfect, but now, instead of just putting you inside a building, but free to go, you get placed in a locked cell which you have to pick in order to escape. It ain't that simple to open that. It's no surprise so few know about this method of travel. I had only seen maybe 5 or 6 people use it properly (as in not paying the fine to get out of the cell). The rest were like "wtf, i didnt know about this" and "how you get in there?" and "haha, jailbird!!!" But yea, it's pretty convenient for f2p, if you can overlook the picking of a lock to get out thing.
  2. Looks like the guy on the left is a self-proclaimed leatherworker, he combined green and red dragonhide chaps with studded leather. Not much taste for composition though. His pants look like straight out of a clowns nightmare. The guy on the right is your average Joe, with a little passion for shiny gold gauntlets. Get those pants lenghtened, you look like a beggar!
  3. Bob the repairman / axe seller in Lumbridge seems to be pretty rich, considering the amount of customers with moldy cracked armor knocking on his door every day. Though I'm not so sure. If he was as rich as the Wise Old Man, why does he still work in crummy conditions... he's in Lumbridge for *peep* sake.
  4. No skill in runescape can be fully compared to each other. Especially slayer and runecrafting - 2 skills so different like day and night. Which is the better moneymaker... well, runecrafting is so boring, I'd rather mow the lawn, whilst slayer can be properly enjoyed because of its relatively non-monotonous nature. Explains why I have 69 slayer, compared to 67 runecrafting.
  5. For me, that'd be mining, runecrafting and hunter. Now, a small summary of angry sentences about why I think these 3 are hateful skills... I don't know how people can actually LOVE runecrafting. Sure it may be the best moneymaking skill ever invented, but it's dead boring, even when you have people running essence for you. Back and forth, back and forth... thousands of times. Hunter is another mindboggingly aggrivating skill. Oh joy, you trap a living breathing firecracker in a box, all the while trying to dodge other hunters in a small open area in which you can't find your own traps due to the fact that its literally a maze of laid traps. Those who got their hunter level maxed before the chinchompa-madness started, kudos to you, you managed to still stay sane. And well, mining, thats just plainly ridiculous. Even though I'm only 4 levels away from being a some-thousandth rune miner out there, there's no motivation to train it, seeing as for every rune rock in a world, there's a dozen miners trying to get the ore. I wonder how the rock itself feels about that. I forgot to mention that mining is also an unfair skill, where if 2 people with different mining levels try to dig a rock at the same time, then in most cases the one with the lower level will get the ore first. Where's the logic in that...
  6. Friends to me are people who I can have an interesting discussion with; count on to help me in the time of need (with the general rule of: you scratch my back, I scratch yours); and to do certain things together or just hang out with. And most important rule of friendship: you must never betray your friend over a bag of gold.
  7. I almost got fooled and killed by a house lure a month or two ago (don't remember the exact date, I have a poor name and date memory). Its key components were: a private house party, 2 party hat wearing players of opposite gender, a house with a boxing ring, a few competitions, the last of which included smelting a piece of quicklime without wearing anything (go on, try it out for yourself). Dunno how I got out of there alive, but some kind of common sense started working just before I started using the lime on the furnace, with millions worth of stuff in inventory and below 10 hitpoints. That was a near-death experience. Haven't actually died lately. Gotta try harder I guess.
  8. Don't think that if you're drunk in real life, everything happening in RS while you're trying to focus enough to play it, is an illusion. Because its not. So dont drink if you're planning on playing this game in the following few hours. You dont want to find your character a few expensive items poorer the next morning. Taken from personal experience a month ago.
  9. Where have I seen this topic before? :-k Oh yea, in the automatic forum filler machine. :( Similar question, different title. Anyway, to swerve back on topic: Yes, I have a yo-yo, along with all the other holiday junk.
  10. I'd say its in the region between 40 and 50. :-k
  11. You're a beast, Maz. Nice hunter level. Good luck with 99. I bet by the time I get back from vacation, you'll have over 100m total xp. :
  12. I'd choose to be a player moderator. Simple reason: I dont use the rsof for nothing more than buying/selling and Ive noticed that forum mods are less appreciated than ingame mods.
  13. Uhm... not much luck with drops really. But I did get a black mask once, and a dragon spear too. Oh and if initial selling value would be considered, I did get a trimmed glory ammy on the first day of its release, sold for 2 mil. :
  14. I reckon the third rs shall be released in 2010 or so. Unless Jagex go bankrupt or w/e. Anyway, I wont see myself playing until then. If Sun somehow makes a completely rewritten and revolutionary Java language by then, and Jagex builds a game engine around it, with the end result looking beautiful, then I'd consider playing that. Otherwise - no.
  15. I think people hate runescape because of its monotonous click-click-click nature, it's lack of visual eyecandy and its mostly unintelligent players. Or they just need some game to throw garbage at, and they just happened to play runescape recently, which they claim had ruined their lives. Whiners are everywhere it seems. Ah well, such is life. :|
  16. I once got reported for picking up bones that he left behind. Oh please! If he killed monsters and didnt pick up bones, they're public property, henceforth I am allowed to take them. That encounter made me chuckle a bit though.
  17. Heheh. I remember that part. I picked my character as Adventurer. :)
  18. Most definitely 'plz' and 'noob'. So overused. Oh and after having a bad day and coming online to calm your nerves, the last thing you want to hear is some lame accusation / sick statement, only to see the next word being 'jk lol'.
  19. First: Cooking. Last: probably Farming. Next: Crafting.
  20. Three - cooking, firemaking, fletching.
  21. Make a portal from Tutorial Island to mainland and put a tollgate in front of it. 25 gp toll. 20% of the toll goes to pay the guards and the rest into my pocket.
  22. Gathering items. Even more so, when you always seem to forget something important behind.
  23. No point taking what every blithering idiot in the game says to you for real. If I got 1k for every time people have called me a noob for no actual reason, I'd have a million by now. Just reply to them: "I love you too" and see what happens. I've done that before. They went nuts. It's fun to watch.
