  1. Well we could balance the "charm exchange" like how we balance the GE. Simply by supply and demand. If it was made so gold charms were worthless we could just back up gold charms for 100gp ea? Plus...i wouldn't mind trading 2k gold charms for 10 blue charms or even 200 crimson. I hate gold...i get them far to often, i have around 2k now -.- You would trade 174,000 Summoning experience (cheap experience, at that) for 10 blue charms or 200 crimsons (which the crimsons would never net you over 85k exp)? That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. i think i would, i want to get summoming xp as fast as i could and i would'nt go for blue i would go for green or crimson. Well, I guess it makes sense. I mean, you, at level 43 summoning, probably understand more about getting faster summoning exp than I do at almost 96 summoning. (lol.)
  2. So because you're "not feeling well," you think it's ok to take your crappy attitude on someone else? Wow, you're a real charmer online, forget about real life. I seriously hope you don't take such an immature, selfish mindset into a professional setting in the real world.
  3. A very nice, constructive post. I'm very impressed. Everyone is allowed to like or dislike anything and have an opinion on it, so long as they know really why they like or dislike it and can explain it maturely and intelligently. You managed to do that! :) That being said, and I'm not combatting your opinion, but Archaeology has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. The mainstream archaeology that you speak of may have only been around within the past 200 years, but far and long before that, the human race has struggled to find out more about it's past through any evidence they could find. So, no, Archaeology has not just been around in the past 150 years. And to tack onto that thought, Runescape is not really set in medieval times, I hope you're aware. Yes, it's overlying theme seems to be in that era, but then you get things like barrows (which they explains to be hundreds of years old), third age, weapons and monsters such as abyssal whips and demons, and let's not forget houses with dart boards, hangman and the games room. As said, excellent post, and your decision to not support is respected.
  4. I'm not going to say the obvious here, but I will be having a nice little party in my head when the next skill is released and all the haters were wrong. :)

  6. While that is actually a really nice idea I think it would be best if the respawn times stayed as is, simply because of the fact they yeild such amazing loot. The purpose of the hour long respawn time on the KQ SES is simply to keep people from gaining too much profit in one hour. The best way to ensure that you are successfully getting maximum loot at the KQ is to find a way to log out inside the lair and go back to the SES on a different world. (And hope it's not already excavated.) It makes it more exciting, too, no? I mean, finding a rune rock that respawns every 20 minutes is decently exciting, but running into a fissure that only respawns once every hour in a dangerous location which could potentially make you over a million gp profit is a little more epic, right? Not saying the spell idea couldn't be used in some other way. Now that you mention a spell I really could potentially find a while other section of this guide to work with. But I'll leave your mind up to wander and see if I can do anything with it. =-p
  7. In honor of the new dinosaur familiar add-on to the guide I have made yet another support banner for those who would like to give this guide a little extra boost of help by putting it in their signature: You can get the code for it in the second post of the thread. Thanks everyone for supporting!
  8. That and not everything's xp. Blue charms are worth more people the familiars you make with them are (generally) worth more. Jagex doesn't care about how fast you can level an skill as much as they care about how you use the skill. That's why they don't nerf the xp in a skill like Cooking but nerfed many training methods for other skills, such as repeatingly casting Charge for magic. Blue charm familiars aren't always the best. Trust me. But yeah, if they were to be exchanged they'd have to base it around exp or something because otherwise it would be worthless. Why spend time collecting the charms just to trade them in for less exp? If you want a blue charm familiar so badly just buy it off the GE.
  9. Iron Titans and Monkeys finally! Now just 1 mere level from 96 Summoning and 138 Combat! :D
  10. Right now 2 crimsons get me more exp than 1 blue. 1 Blue = About 2 Crimson, About 5 Green, About 9 Gold So...I mean, it's different for everyone though, which is why it may not actually work as we'd all like it to.
  11. Well, I probably would never sell since I've put thousands of hours into the account. If I had to sell though, I probably wouldn't let go of it for less than $10,000. I mean, no, I don't expect anyone would ever actually pay that amount for a Runescape account, but to make it worth my while from all the hours spent, it would have to be that much to sway me.
  12. Just got 92 Ranged and 2,222 Total Levels. =-p Now back to Slayer.
  13. Just thought the thread needed a good ol' bump. Also, if anyone is questioning the profit you can make from Slayer, in about 300k slayer exp I have made about 7m profits. (This is without using prayer pots for piety, but including cost of prayer pots for dragons tasks and super sets for all tasks) Just thought I'd throw that little tidbit in.
  14. Hehe...I use the cannon on certain tasks. Mainly Mutated Bloodvelds since it's rediculous exp. But I like to "profit" on tasks because that money goes towards summoning with the charms I obtain during the tasks. (Hence why profit is in quotations marks.) I'll get 99, don't worry. It shouldn't be too long.
  15. 98 Slayer! Naturally, 99 will take some time, but it's now clear on the horizon!
  16. Just updating to say I am a mere 64,000 exp from 98 Slayer as of tonight, and hopefully I will get 98 before Wednesday so my penguin points on wednesday will give exp for 98 x 25 x 15 for maximum slayer exp. :) And here are some pictures of recent clues I've gotten in the past weeks:
  17. God, please do NOT add "well thought out" to your title. In no way, shape or form is this idea thought out. If you had thought it out, you'd have made it a part of the summoning skill instead of making it it's own, wouldn't have capped it at level 50 (there will never be a skill that is capped at level 99, fyi) and you would have realized it's way too overpowered and rediculously hard to get hundreds of items to make one beast. I really don't care if the level 50 beasts can hit 4 times my Hp (which, by the way, is 396 at 99 hp and will NEVER happen in the history of Runescape so GET REAL), they are just too damn hard to make. This needs to be blown up with dynamite and re-constructed with some logic and balance. No one's going to go for this idea unless they're some newbie just starting out that thinks it would be cool to have such disgustingly powerful things in this game that would literally take all the fun and necessity out of training.
  18. Way overpowered, way too expensive to train, and serves no purpose. Don't waste a skill spot on something that can just be added to the Summoning Skill. My vote is no.
  19. Crimsons would sell for 5k and up. People were paying 10k for one lousy phoenix feather, I think they'd probably spend about 5k+ on a crimson and over 10k on blue. Probably more than that, even.
  20. Thanks for the comments, guys! :D Just letting everyone know I am indeed alive. I'm moved into my new apartment and I'm in my last two weeks of musical showcase so things are a little frazzled right now. If I find time, I try to come and and do a task or two, but it's a little difficult. Despite those things, I'm am about 195k from 98 Slayer now. I'm hoping 98 will come sometime this week...at the lastest, next wednesday with my penguin points.
  21. I like that you're training ranged. Get 70 so you can use Black D'Hide and a lot of your "Bloodveld/infernal mage/waterfiend/etc" problems will lessen. P.S. I'm in the middle of my move, if I didn't tell you. We're moved in but still unpacking/cleaning, so that's why I have been on despite being so stupidly close to 98 Slayer.
  22. Congrats. I myself am going for these 2 fabulous 99s, though I can't say I will attempt to get them at the same time. I'll get 99 Slayer and probably have enough charms for 97 summoning, in which I plan to ice burst the rest for 99 mage as well. 10/10 for your achievements, coming from someone who understands how much work these two skills are.
  23. Hey everyone. I know I haven't updated in forever. That's mainly because I never really have enough time lately due to life. I'm in the process of moving to another apartment and I have rehearsal for my musical showcase basically every night. Rest assured, when I get free time I log on and train Slayer. Right now I am about 280k exp from 98, which isn't really much exp at all! So hopefully maybe in a week or two I should get 98. Then from then on it's all the way to 99. =-p
