  1. 78 is not exactly low. 78 is very low. Do you know how many people have level 78?
  2. Less than 250k from 99 Slayer. I have work today in a few hours though, so I probably won't get much more exp today until maybe when I come home later tonight. I'm going to try to be down to 200k exp left before I go to bed tonight. Let's hope that happens. ;)
  3. Less than 280k from 99 Slayer. I'm getting close, but unfortunetly I have work tomorrow through sunday everyday from 3pm till 11pm, so it may take till the end of the week to achieve it. Who knows. lol.
  4. Worst idea EVER. So when I pot how am I supposed to know what level I really am? Oh wait, I wouldn't be able to. :|
  5. I'm just one lucky bastard. What can I say? Here's what I got for the whips. Max ge price, ftw. Oh...and my next task is: 146 abyssal demons! 8-)
  6. It happened again in the same task! This time I was mocking a french woman who came into my bakery and wanted whipped cream in her hot tea. lol.
  7. It was more for fun than anything else...just had a nice added bonus. lol.
  8. I decided to say words with the word "whip" in them immediately after each abyssal demon kill while on my task. Looks like the abbys like whipped cream. lol.
  9. Crawling Hands look AWFUL now. The fake cuts and blood on them look like a child drew them on with crayon.
  10. Updated the blog to add a "Current Updates" section that will help anyone reading the blog be able to find the latest update without having to search for it. Also makes it look nicer and gives that second post I reserved some purpose.
  11. by absolutely no sense i assume you mean perfect sense right? you're paying the money for the ability to wear the skill cape and the prestige that comes with it. people really need to stop leaving utility out of the equation He's saying that if you make your own product, logically, you should be able to profit off it. If you have the level to make a potion, and someone who wants or needs that potion, who can't make it themselves, wants to buy it from you, you should profit a little. This used to be the way herblore was until they got rid of unids. It was one of the largest mistakes Jagex made in my opinion. I got 90 herblore before the unid update, and I got it solely on sitting in seers bank for hours on end, switching worlds every so often, buying all unids for 1,000 gp each. On average I would profit 2-3k per unid, which would cover the cost of water vials and secondary ingredients, and still allow me to profit about 500-1,000 gp per potion. For my work finding the unids and risking getting low herbs, I was able to not only train my herblore, but also to profit a bit as well. I was ranked about 400 in herblore back then, and now because of the ge and the fact that people can see what herbs they get as drops before having the levels to ID them, it's easy to buy the high levels but at a hefty cost. I just wish herblore was the way it used to be. It was fun then to an extent and now it's just another mindless buyable skill.
  12. I got 19 snapdragons from 1 patch a little over 6 months ago when I was hardcore farming them. It only happened once and the next largest number lower than 19 I got was 16.
  13. After much consideration I have decided to start playing Runescape more again. There was a point in time when I just stopped playing all together. (Still kept membership though and would sign on every update) As for slayer or training anything...I had stopped. Well, I want 99 slayer now and I'm about halfway between 98 and 99, so I figure I should just man up and get it already. Watch this space. lol.
  14. You look kinda like Brendan Frazer anyone tell you that Great! Thanks! [/sarcasm] xD I see the resemblance.. Does he have a long lost son? Because you might be it.
  15. Ok...just did regular f2p Greater Challenge and was a little more successful yet STILL with a revenant knight attacking me. All I did was: 1. Run to wilderness and attack demon while praying. 2. Revenant attacks so I switch my protect prayer to deal with his ranged attacks. 3. I kill demon with 27 hp and 13 hp left. 4. I auto retaliate on the revenant and suffer the same fate as last time, though same as last time, after I have completed my challenge. :) Start time: 9:41:00PM End time: 9:47:34PM Total Run Time: 6 Minutes and 34 Seconds
  16. Ok...so I thought I'd give a challenge a try just for fun, and decided the Hardcore f2p Greater Demon Challenge was easy enough. What I did: 1. Started exactly at 9:07:00PM. 2. Killed 3 men in lumbridge to obtain 9 gp. 3. Bought 8 pots and 1 bucket. 4. Picked 8 wheat north of lumbridge. 5. Ground 8 wheat and collected 8 buckets of flour. 6. Walked back to lumbridge and used bucket on the fountain to make 8 bread doughs. 7. Cooked 8 bread doughs into 8 Bread. 8. Obtained a training sword and shield at training tutor. 9. Began trek to wilderness Greater Demons north of Clan Wars. 10. Picked up an Iron Kiteshield from respawn near chaos dwarves on the way. 11. As I got to greaters I was teleblocked and attacked by a level 126 Revenant Knight! 12. I fought the knight for a few turns then decided to make a run for it. 13. Ran north east and unintentionally got him stuck behind the greater demon ruins. 14. Fought and killed the greater demon with only 9 hp left. 15. Picked up my loot of 220 gp. 16. Walked calmly over to the Revenant Knight to face my fate. Start time: 9:07:00PM End time: 9:22:54PM Total run time: 15 Minutes and 54 Seconds.
  17. It's an achievement no matter what, but I can't help feeling like crap knowing how many other people have my skill. It doesn't matter what they think, but sometimes I'm like, "Ugh...99 slayer is one of the hardest skills to get due to time to train it and yet almost 4,000 people have it anyway." What you're seeing is the business of Runescape growing. More people join, more people train, more people get 99s. 3 Years ago, seeing a level 126 was jaw dropping. Now...not so much. Is it still a great achievement? Yes. Is it impressive? No.
  18. No you have not. When the timer ran out the familiar dropped all it's items. The only way to bring out another was to summon another and pick up the dropped items and put them back into it...NOT handy when you're in combat or don't have enough inventory space (which is often why you're using the familiar in the first place.)
  19. If you train efficiently, it will take a bit over 3 hours. That isn't really asking for alot. Oh really? So you get tasks every single time that give 33k exp an hour? Fascinating. Because I have 98 Slayer and I have NEVER achieved 100k slayer exp in 3 hours unless I used penguins points, and those don't count. cough cannoning mutated bloodvelds cough I have never really focussed on the xp, haven't blocked or skipped anything; I do slayer for fun. Note I said EVERY TIME, bruno. I know you think you're being really sharp, but in fact you seem to have lost a little of your edge. lol. If you can get 3 mutated bloodveld tasks in a row, then yes, perhaps 100k is obtainable, but since this rarely to never happens, you can't say that 100k exp per 3 hours is how fast you train slayer. On average for tasks you'll get 20k exp an hour.
  20. People who try to say Slayer isn't one of the slowest skills to get a 99 in don't even have the level themselves. I bet 90% of them would get fed up/bored/aggitated with it after about level 92, when they realize they are STILL only halfway to 99. Runecrafting, Agility, Mining and Slayer...those are all the most respectable 99s, in my opinion. They take the longest and aren't always the most exciting things to train after a while. It's easy to lose your drive. And please, folks, let's not forget we are just playing a game here. There's no sense in downing someone because you think what they've achieved is either unimpressive or makes them a no-life. I've been training slayer since I got members about 3 years back. Some days (which don't exist for me anymore) I could devote an entire day to RS and get 250k Slayer exp in a day. Some days I only do a task...maybe possibly two. Either way, I've slayed casually AND hardcore for the past 3 years and it's taken me that long to get where I'm at. I didn't slay the whole time, obviously, but that should give someone an idea of how difficult mustering up the drive to get 99 can be. 85 IS an achievement...it's just now tens of thousands of people have achieved it, whip prices have dropped, and slayer has lost its "new-skill novelty." That's really all there is to it.

  22. Slayer is a challenge, no matter what level your getting. It's one of the slowest skills to level in the game, even when you are maxed combat. I have level 98 and am a little less than 700k exp from 99. I've had level 98 and haven't gotten a single exp in about 2 months. This is both a combo between my busy life and the fact that Slayer is a skill that you really need to sit yourself down and TRAIN. You can't really afk it (unless you're doing dark beasts) and just to get about 200k exp at full speed it takes about 8-10 hours.
  23. 13,034,431 Mining exp does not equal 13,034,431 in Fletching exp either, but somehow they both get the same reward: A Skillcape and Hood. Your logic fails. And I think 200M does derserve something, but not a crown. We have a skill hood. We don't need a crown. And anyway, be more creative. Everyone suggests crowns for EVERYTHING. I've heard this EXACT same idea for not only 200M exp, but also for 1B+ total exp, being a Player Moderator and Maxing out Skill Total.
  24. You look kinda like Brendan Frazer anyone tell you that Great! Thanks! [/sarcasm] xD What's wrong with Brendan Fraser? lol.
