New Quest XP reward -- don't read if you don't want to know.
Outsanity replied to Punitive_D's topic in General Discussion
Even with 99 melee/range stats Slayer can only be trained for around 20k per hour unless using a cannon, which then is a waste of cash. So saying that putting 400k exp into slayer would be a waste is really just ignorant on your part. Especially when you become my level and 1 slayer level takes over 1,000,000 experience. Mine went into Slayer all the way, and as far as I'm concerned I made an extremely smart decision. -
New Quest XP reward -- don't read if you don't want to know.

All 400,000 went to Slayer and brought me 211k away from 97 Slayer. I will be doing my penguins today for another 36k slayer exp, bringing me only 175k away from the level. I'd say I made a smart choice considering I chopped off about 20 hours of Slayer with the quest reward. :) -
25-Nov-2008 Stealing Creation rewards system to change
Outsanity replied to Toad's topic in General Discussion
Actually, robinhoodie, I think you are quite wrong in this case. I used the Sacred Clay Scimitar at Pest Control and was hitting up to 27s with it, non potted. So assuming we gain double the exp (8 exp per damage) with it after the update, and you were to use it with a black mask and piety and potions, you'd probably be able to hit around 34-35s with it...meaning that would be like hitting 68s with the whip. It is also the same speed as the whip, and is actually fairly accurate. So no, I have to disagree. I think it has lots of potential being far better than the whip for training. Not for killing in general, but for training the combat stats themselves. -
Do YOU have 88 Summoning? I do, and I know how useless the unircorn is in most situations. Yes, it can be helpful for bosses and such, but when it comes to most situations, the bunyip is still much better. Also, the scrolls cost about 270 gp each and the pouch itself costs about 2,700 gp...so it's not like it's just 1k per dose of potion. Don't try to make something into something it's not.

Sorry, but I'm with wakka on this one. I think it's a total hoax by a bunch of children thinking they're being clever trying to scare all of the other children into believing they could die at any moment. lol.

The Archaeology Skill - (Surprise on Page 26!)

Um...is this related to my topic in any way or did you just decide to spam? lol. -
... ...I'm getting a sex change.

Pretty much sums it up. No, it doesn't. Use your head for God's sake. If you're on a safe pvp world it means when on slayer tasks and such, or while woodcutting or mining, if someone else is crowding your spot or trying to mine all your rocks or pick up all the respawns you're trying to get, you kill them, and problem solved. (Until they come back for revenge, that is.) It's basically a way of adding more events into the game. Imagine what you could do. Clans could have world wars where they try to dominate an area and keep out all non-clan members. Skillers could kill others invading their space. It would add a LOT more variety to the game for those that want that extra edge. So think before you post, please.

Outsanity Reaches 92 Summoning!
Outsanity replied to Outsanity's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
It's just an easier way to name my topics. I mean, I could be like every other person and try to trick you into reading my topic without first knowing what it's about. lol. The wolpertinger is OK. I mean, personally...it just doesn't hit accurately enough. -

The ol' thread needed a good kick back to the front page. Keep the comments coming. I am still reading them everyday. -
Oh, quit being immature little children about it. Since when has Thanksgiving in the real world been a problem to you in the real world if you don't celebrate it? If you don't want to go hunt turkeys then don't. Stop acting like children about it. If Jagex wants to release a small Thanksgiving event then it's their choice. Let them. Quite frankly, you have no say in it, really. And really, it makes sense, anyway. A VERY large portion of the people who play Runescape are from North America anyway, so what's the deal? Maybe next time Jagex wants to spread some holiday cheer to it's players they should just forget about it since 10 year old-minded players like you people will be offended. Grow up.

Outsanity Hits 96 Slayer!
Outsanity replied to Outsanity's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Haha...well 99 is coming, slowly but definitely surely. I'd like to have it by the end of the year but I don't see that happening with all my rehearsal going on. -
Outsanity Hits 96 Slayer!
Outsanity posted a topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Well, I've been 10k exp from 96 Slayer for two days now since I had parties to go to and rehearsals, but this morning I went ahead and got the last of it. Here is the result: 3 more to go! -
If you think about it, the updates in the past really weren't much smaller than the last two we've gotten. Yes, they released pvp worlds. Big whoop. Yes, they released a Halloween event AND quest. Big whoop. In the past there have still been far better updates than these, which required more time an attention to create, while still maintaining the smaller updates. In other words, I want my old update system back.

People voted and didn't really take the time to understand the benefits you can reap from Farming. A lot of Runescape players think that only skills where you get immediate exp and immediate rewards are the only skills that are worth to train. However, I'd like to point out that for the last 3 months I have been farming snapdragons between slayer tasks and such, and I have made over 30M from it. It's easy, fast, and profitable. If that's not a skill worth to train then I don't know what is. Yes, you don't have to like a skill, but when people say it has no benefits or is "useless" I just laugh at them knowing how morbidly wrong they are.

Yeah, it's a bummer. I've been a loyal member for almost 4 years now and I was in the middle of moving to New York City last halloween so I didn't have access to internet for the two weeks of the Halloween event. I was really angry, to say the least. I feel like if you've been playing loyaly/had a members account set up at that time but couldn't get it, you should be able to have a way to obtain it. I mean, I was still paying, so...yeah. :|

28 October 2008 - Hallowe'en Event and Quest

I don't understand why everyone is having trouble with the puzzles. They were all incredibly easy, you just have to read what the NPC's tell you. -

She gives you a bowl. You use the bowl on her cauldron full of stew. Drink the stew. Choose a skill. Earn exp in that skill. Repeat 9 more times. =-p -

If this is for various witches around Runescape, there are that have been missed so far. There's a witch in Draynor (Aggie), a witch in Rimmington (from Witch's Potion Quest) and one in the Temple of Ikov (Teleports you across the water). I can't check them out because I'm stuck at work... Aggie and the Rimmington witch don't work, just checked. Maggie tells you which specific witches give you exp. You can't just go to any old witch. -

Some pictures of experience giving extras: Stews are Your Level x 10. I used all 10 on Slayer and got 9,500 Slayer Exp. Then, if you take the broom to different locations you can get it enchanted for extra magic exp. Also, if you take it to the witch's apprentice in al kharid she will enchant it to be able to teleport you to the sorcoress' garden an unlimited amount of times. My Magic Level is 96. I don't know if that matters in the exp you get, though you need 93 Magic to get ALL the bonuses. -
Battle begins for online role players (FT.com)

Nothing will ever be able to emulate what Runescape has to offer. No matter how hard they try to mold it after RS, nothing can come close enough to beat it out. It's been around far too long with far too many loyal (and addicated) players, myself included. I don't know. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
