nickeley102
when the behind the scenes came out and jagex introduced the new update situation (1 big, 1 little update a month) i thought i wouldnt like it. Now i know i was right, i miss my updates. what are your thoughts on the switch from bimonthly big updates to the weekly little updates?
Master_Smither
I miss it too not knowing which week things are and not being able to see if I can be on or not for the update. DreamReaper
When the updates were once a week they were so predictable. Hopefully now I won't be able to say "Oh, look! It's Tuesday. Update today." That was boring. What would be even better would be no behind the scenes. Updates would be so much better if I didn't know when and what they are. alphakoldes
I really don't care either way, were still getting updates. Pretty much what I was going to say. Although the little 5 year old with ADD that dwells inside me likes seeing new things once a week, I'll admit. -Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now. Xx_Flare_xX
Since It's only been two weeks since it was announced I can't really comment on it. Aslong as Jagex make updates people want to see then I'm fine with it. But if the updates are a waste of time then I would miss the onld 'weekly' updates. pulli23
I can say I really miss the amount of updates: Currently I've done (almost) everything at least once and I hate doing things twice.... So updates were the only thing to keep me playing for the last year and a half.. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. tintin113
I took this off the interview from another thread: new content goes onto RuneScape every two weeks. I guess they'll do it in the middle and at the end of every month if this month is anything to go by... However I have to say I prefered being spammed with quests and little updates once per week! : Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!Xbox360 Gamertag = Tintin113
phata_elise
I like this more. IN the past, too often i got excited about a small update, only to find out it was really disappointing. I hope that the better quality will keep me more than satisfied.
Sy_Accursed
Atm it is a bit dull between updates but that is because we need time to readjust to the new update layout. Just like all the old school players, myself included, were overloaded and took time tog et used to when weekly updates first arrived. Equally I think we need to give it a couple of months to allow for the truly "big" updates they promise to filter through. With less updates per month they can devote more staff to each update and therefore more time to each update. Meaning as this wears in, hopefully, instead of 2 quests a month that 90% of players beat within the week we will get some games and quests that are so good that even if you beat them quickly the graphics and stories leave you in awe and that should have a good chunk of players struggling to get through them even a couple of weeks down the line and not just because the reqs are high and all the whiney low levels have to actually train something to do a quest Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Den
I also miss the nice little updates every week but as paw said, they might make something that will last a few weeks instead of just one day or a few days. Ive been quite bored this week because i was so exited about halloween. ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... Will H
It's like waves on a beach, the updates are the waves underneath the surface and out expectations are the ripples on top. We have been riding on the old frequency and new updates have always been there to catch us when we start to get bored of the old one. But the frequency's dropped, and we haven't changed our momentum to match. As a result, we expect the next update to catch us but there isn't one there, and we fly off and hit the sandy shores of boredom. ~ W ~

Leoo
I actually prefered more frequent updates. For instance, next month there is going to be two more combat mini-games, which I think there is enough! That means I'll have to wait another month to see if someone will appeal to me. Whereas the frequent updates there was something for everyone in my opinion.

bored321
IMO i would prefer not to have the behind the scenes at all. I remember the day con came out and it was such a surprise when it did i found that a lot more exiting not knowing it was coming, if all updates were like that it would make updates alot more exiting. I'm not too bothered about this 2 week update, and tbh some months we already like this. Thanks Gradeskip93 for my awesome sig!

Sy_Accursed
Yup I'd much rather have a "puzzle" quest with an actualy decent puzzle that can stump even me for a while with less frequent updates than the "puzzle" quest of attack on varrock where the puzzles were as complex as hmm a red mist i need to trap in a bottle, oh look theres bottle spawns all over the floor and hmm a royal i need to find where im given all the names and then one of them tells me to go and talk to the right person. Altra
I miss them, too, but I guess once they finally get done trying to make amends for the RWT updates, the quality will probably get better... Of course, I'm sure some people are glad of those updates, but as I'm not so into pvp, it doesn't interest me... Unless, of course, it boosts the economy like pvp worlds did at first Owner of quest cape since December of 2006

Makoto_the_Phoenix
Frankly, I hated the system where we updated practically once a week. I could never get anything accomplished with it. Now, with two or three a month, it sounds a lot more manageable. I guess I feel like they're taking their time with better updates. crazykiwi
I actually prefered more frequent updates. For instance, next month there is going to be two more combat mini-games, which I think there is enough! While they mentioned two new minigames in the last Behind The Scenes they didn't say they would both be out next month, just that they are "coming soon". I predict one of the them be out next month, and the other maybe the month after. I think in a couple of months we'll find that the updates are much better updates, rather than some of the flawed updates we have had where people will try it once and never go back to. crazykiwi - http://www.rsdrop.com

Ravenkana
I prefer the old way. In the new method, everything is hit or miss. See, with only one big update, if it's not something you enjoy, there goes your whole month! Take this month's big update. PvP worlds are meant for PKers and no skillers. True, some skillers skill on PvP worlds, but for most, with no extra incentive aside from empty spawns, the risk outweighs the reward. And two more things have me worried. I'm afraid that if they keep putting up big updates they'll either a. have a creative burn out or b. will start calling medium updates "big" when they realize they can not put up big updates every month. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?
