I'm glad it will be 2D only. Also, having Part 2 in 3D sounds pretty stupid if Part 1 is not.

No replay angle showed it as a high stick, nor did the referee. Only the linesman seems to think it was too high. If it was a reviewable play, I have confidence in saying the call would be reversed. That said, I'll get over it if we rebound with a win against the Rangers Thursday (though I have to work that night).

MLB has a salary cap. But they added a luxury tax for teams that go over it (if you spend more than the salary cap on players then you pay the league some amount of money). That said, I do agree that unless more teams start using that tax to their advantage, scrap it and have the cap be what it is supposed to be.

You're right, they are. And playoffs are definitely reasonable so far. Though after that I don't expect much.

On the contrary, that is how you jinx them. Call attention to the good fortune and bring out the bad. I was simply being realistic. Although, they could very well surprise me.

That's what I did... and when I told the operator of the line I usually work on she laughed at me... a lot. I kind of deserved it, though. Today I went to Chapters and found a copy of a book I want (Half Empty by David Rakoff), but didn't buy it. Then I went to Swiss Chalet and had some lunch. Now I'm on the computer. And I think this is the longest I've been signed in to Facebook in about a year, going on half an hour.

Watched Ernest Scared Stupid (twice now, this year) and still love it. I also watched Hocus Pocus, which is kind of a Halloween tradition in my house. Oh, and both The Addams Family and The Adams Family Values. They both make me laugh.

Watched Talladega Nights last night. I've seen it plenty of time before, but it is funny. I also watched Terminator which I had never seen much of. It was pretty good, despite its age.

I found out what I'm probably doing tonight, and it isn't giving breaks. I'll be doing a job that is meant to be done by packers, but apparently they don't have enough. And so I get to stand boxes up all day. Whatever sanity I have regained in the last couple weeks will be lost once more by the end of today.

I found out they want me to work tomorrow, but at 3:20... I can only think of 3 groups of people that start at 3:20... I'm not trained for 2 of the jobs (packing and a certain line's one end) and the other is just giving breaks to others doing their jobs. Hopefully that means I get to give breaks.

I haven't got any invitations since joining the guild, but I got a few before that.

Same goes for me but with chicken sandwiches from fast food joints. I ask for no lettuce and almost every time I get lettuce. I am usually halfway home by the time I see it (as I usually use the drive-thru since going inside takes at least twice as long) and so scrape the lettuce off. Lettuce is fine... but not the junk they use.

I'm still looking for a copy of that one. I read that one almost a year ago. I don't know which I liked better, though. Also, I am currently reading a book formerly titled I Learned Kung Fu From a Bear Cub. It's a collection of travel-gone-wrong stories compiled by Matt Jackson. Some of them are hilarious. I'm almost done it, though, so I have to pick a new one to read soon.

I haven't read any Tolkien since I was in school... I finished school in early '07. I should buy the LotR series, + The Hobbit. I read 1984 last week... It was... just... :shock:

Because the fee exists, I guess they did the "right" thing. But that fee seems ridiculous. My uncle's place burned down but only because the nearest fire department was the last to get there (volunteers who probably shouldn't have). There was at least departments there by the time the fire was out. No fees, just part of the almighty tax dollar.

My motivation in work is the allure of full-time and it's $18+ an hour. Outside of work, my motivation is kind of defeated by my love of sleep... ie, I sleep through a lot of it.

That's a bummer... I hate getting the wrong-sized spoon/fork for the food I'm eating. Pretty sweet about the girl, though... but the spoon.... Today I found out that I don't (as of yet) work this week. The reason? My employer didn't know when I was going to be back from my vacation last week. I can think of 2, count 'em, 2 reasons that makes absolutely no sense. 1- my mom was with me and she is working this week, and 2- I gave them a sheet that had on it the date I was starting this vacation... and the day I would be back. So yeah... My boss is a moron.

37 to go. But I agree that Wilson should be fired. I only agree on Burke getting fired is because that's about the only way Wilson will be. Give Burke a couple more years to improve the team, then we'll talk. As for seeing a game, working afternoons makes it almost impossible for me.

And that's 1 more than I though would notice my absence. Just got back from a Demo Derby, as some may have figured out from a post in a different thread. Apart from the people (both the ones I mentioned in that other thread and those who had ultimately saved me a seat) it was fun. Although my favourite guy, Joe Crow, was ousted early in his heat.

People who are in my country and won't stand respect its National Anthem. I witnessed about 2 dozen hats left on heads and 2 people who just didn't stand up at all tonight, during the anthem. So what if it is just a Demolition Derby?

I'm currently a Master in the Elites guild, and getting very close to level 16.

I'm back! Just spent a week sleeping in a tent with a 300lb+ cousin of mine. How many noticed I was gone?
