Red Chinompas 200k + Range XP per hour On Ape Toll?
EugenyG replied to DegenerateX's topic in Help and Advice
Antipoison looks like a must -
The PC whiners remind me of "old skool people" who say it's "immoral" to use a calculator for math, because when THEY were kids they had to calculate everything by hand. :/

Umm, no. We are not talking about changing the Java architecture from 32 to 64 bit. We are talking about changing the particular bit length of the integer which describes item amount in the bank/inventory. It would actually require very small effort on the programming part, and would cause virtually no change in game speed. There might be a few weeks of testing for bugs and exploits, but that's about it.

actually if you crafted airs at lvl 11+.. you'll realise too. Yea, except the question asked for double natures, not double rc in general. :)

It's all about the market forces. For some skills, people are not willing to lose money training, or not even willing to train the skill unless they make money too. Example is fletching - a yew log and a bs always cost less than a strung yew longbow. Other skills people ARE willing to lose money to level, and its all about HOW much money they are willing to lose. In the case of magic via high alching (one of the fastest ways to level magic), people are consistently willing to lose about 100gp per alch. This price is so consistent that item prices end up being directly influenced by the alch prices (the very reason yew longbows cost 570 is because they alch for 768, and the cost of the alch (570+300 for nature rune) is about 100 more than the profit. If yew longs were alching for 868, then they would sell for 670, and so on. If you don't like it, well, too bad. One person cannot change the price of the whole market, take it or leave it. So, assuming you have time, you can use the market prices on both steps, by buying yew logs and bs, and then both fletching and alching yourself. You'll break even almost to the coin, and get to train both of those skills at the same time.

By the time you can do them (91 runecrafting), you'll also know how. 8-)

From 50 to 63 Crafting. What should I make?
EugenyG replied to MrMitchell's topic in Help and Advice
If money is not an issue then crafting silver is quite fast. You can also craft pot lids. About 20% slower but 40-50% cheaper. -
Nah, it's not hacking, not even bug abuse, just a feature of the old Restless Ghost quest. It used to be back in RSC a long time ago, unless I'm mistaken, that the quest had a part where you pick up a skull spawning somewhere in the ghost's house. When you did, a skeleton spawned and attacked you. Some people kept the skull, and when they dropped and re-picked it (provided they didn't finish the quest), the skeleton spawned and attacked the person, and if the person ran away, it attacked the nearest player in sight. The bug was fixed shortly after it was found.

It's good if you can manage to stare at your screen 100% of play time. If you are the person who likes to WC while browsing forums or doing other stuff, then stick with rune. Because there's a big difference between losing a 20K axe head and losing a 2.5 mil axe head.

Tears of Guthix - What happens when 2+ skills are at 0 xp?
EugenyG replied to Jard_Y_Dooku's topic in General Discussion
MMMk, and your point is? Pures won't drink TOG anyways. It may be avoided first time by getting combat skills to have a few exp, but what about the second, third times, etc? And the pathetic amount of exp you get when you TOG a lvl 1 skill isn't worth risking to put exp in combat skills for pures. -
True that dragon spear isn't your best everyday weapon, but its long reach and posion option makes it invaluable for certain quests where you can spear the boss you need to kill from behind a cover. Also, it seems to be the weapon of choice to kill Wyrewatch (not sure why you'd want to, since they drop nothing right now, but if you did) because they take no damage except poison and recoil. You can lure a WW in a tight spot between two houses and spear it until it dies from poison.

Is there anywhere in abyss where you can set up cannon?
EugenyG replied to EugenyG's topic in Help and Advice
Yeah but that place is useless for cannon as it is not multicombat. I was hoping the real abyss would have it. -
And not get "not enough space"? If no, just say so; if yes, please say where.

Just because an item may be owned by an NPC doesn't mean that you get to have it now, in the nearby future, or ever. *cough* Granite boots *cough*

All I noticed was much more lag when switching screens. Say when I am at a shop window and click close, instead of closing immediately like before, it says "closing" at the top for a sec or two, and then closes. When I go to tools -> house options, and then click X at top right, again, now there is a 1 sec or so delay during which my menu is empty, before I see regular options again. Which means that now there is some kind of communication between client and server when I press the x button, and it must complete before the response is done. Maybe it's some kind of new macro detection, I dunno. But it's annoying.

QUESTCAPE! MWHAHAHAHAH
EugenyG replied to gremmy's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
What new quests? There hasn't been a single new one since January :/ -
Yeah, RS items are just pixels. And real life money is just pieces of paper with fancy pictures on them. And that A+ you scored on the math test after studying for 50 hours is just two ANSI characters printed on a piece of paper. Not. In all those cases, the value of any arbitrary object (whether it is a banknote, a letter grade, or an item in RS) is the effort people are willing to put to get (earn or buy) that object.

Even at 99 construction I wouldn't kick out the butler. Once you have gilded altar, simply the best and fastest way to train prayer is to take a bunch of noted big or dragon bones (depending on how rich you are) and ask butler to unnote them for you one batch at a time, sacrifice them at altar, and repeater the process. Much much quicker than going for them yourself (if you walk all the way to the bank yourself, it'd be just as fast to just use the ecto altar in Mortanya).

Do bonuses from evil stew and gilded tea stack?
EugenyG replied to EugenyG's topic in Help and Advice
Except that saw doesn't work with building rooms :/ Oh well, new goal for me is 69 instead of 66 construction... -
Variation of this scam happens all the time at fast "mechanic" trade locations, such as W16 air company. You are so used that every single trade is a standard 2k+25 noted ess vs 25 unnoted ess, that you tend to just put your end and hit accept to save time, and occasionally scammers just accept it too and if they are lucky you won't pay attention at second screen either. Not that you'll lose alot (just 2k + 25 ess), but they do it to many people one after another. Can't report them, because all they do is offer you a trade, and implied things don't work with reporting (has to be explicit lie or deception), so I just add them to ignore list so they can't trade me anymore.

Hmm... I think I'll go around IRL calling people who wear seatbelts safers... Or those who eat before they are at a point of starvation... Or those that do their homework earlier than 5 minutes before class :-/
-
Evil stew can get up to +6 any skill including construction. Gilded tea gives +3 to construciton. Question is: do the bonuses stack? Can I get up to +9 if I drink both, or will it cap at the highest of the two? If they stack, does the order in which I drink matters?

Want Max QP? Want To Know All The Skills Needed?
EugenyG replied to My_Eggs's topic in General Guides
As far as the items go... I wonder if someone can set up a store. I mean a bank dedicated to storing all (or as much as possible, in which case store the ones hardest to get, don't bother with buckets etc) of all tradeable quest items. Sure, it'll take a while to get, but its easier to get supplies for 100 people at once than for each of those 100 to get their own. And I'm sure lots of people who go for max qp would be willing to pay X amount of millions to just buy the whole quest item set and not waste hundreds of hours wasting time to gather supplies for quests.
