Josh Homme pixel avatar
It must be a pain using so many colours  But the outcome is superb :) The only suggestion is to smooth out the cheekbone, eyebrow and the nostril. Btw, how long did it take you to make this?

Happy Halloween!
Well most of the people that came to my door were in costumes but it seems like there are less and less people every year. I remember there being tons of people out on haloween night but now it seems like someone comes to your door only once every 5 minutes. Really? There were more people this year than the last it seems. The trick-or-treaters usually come in groups of 4 or 7 people every 5 minutes at my neighborhood. Well, it's not the same as previous halloweens where we would sit out on the steps and watch individual kids come by. I also notice that the majority of the kids here are much older and bigger  Question. How old is too old for trick-or-treatings? Or does it depend on height? (wear a mask, no one will know :anxious: ) But anyways. You're never too old for candy \ I didn't even notice the moon :(

Happy Halloween!
We almost ran out of candy last night XD The number of kids trick-or-treating this year must have doubled  I also noticed alot of cars parked outside; could mean that the additional kids may have came from other neighborhoods. :? Btw, what did you give out? We gave out cadbury chocolates, m&ms, cheetos and of course, lollypops :3> ------------------------------------------------------ Btw, to the people who were giving out candies or trick or treaters, did you notice a decline in halloween spirit? Most of the kids that came to my house weren't in costumes (one of them, dressed up in my highschool uniform #-o - how lame) Most that were are like 1-10 years of age.

[Gallery] White Dragon updated & Mr. Orc returns.....
Greaters it tis! lol Im still refining the details but there's the update so far. Any suggestion on how to texture the greater's skin? I dont know whether it ought to be leathery (sp?) or simply like human skin. FYI terley, I'm a girl =P~ =P~ P.S. The signature below was before the texturing/rendering of the greater's face.

B/W mini abstract - ToWER
It's TOO smalll!! lol Yes, yes, you mentioned that but may I ask why? Did you drew it in a large canvas then shrunk it? Because some of the lines are noticeably pixalated (jagged). Anyways. I'm not an abstract type person but this piece looks pretty cool. For me, the only problem or suggestion is to remove or darken those white [bleep]es/triangles/objects (whatever it is) because it's abit distracting especially for something so small. :anxious: But anyways. (p.s. how do you make these effects :?: )

..:: My Gallery ~~---~~ Update 2 ::..
Yah, the 2nd, 4th and your signature are the best IMO. It blends together better than the rest. The scanlines on the first kinda ruined it (like you said) because it takes away the colour quality. But for the third one, I'm not liking the scanlines at the top right corner and the text is alittle, ums...messy? It's just me :XD: nice work

[Gallery] White Dragon updated & Mr. Orc returns.....
Aye, another painting in progress. I thought I try more landscape base paintings instead of portraitures :) Any advice or suggestions on what I should include in the picture? It's going to be runescape related but as of now, it is just an empty wilderness. Anyways, i better be off to school now!!

What is your alignment?
My friends consider me a 'balancer' since I always get stuck in the middle when there's a fight between my friends.

Stupidest Thing You've Eaten
^ahhaha, my brother witnessed his friend did that in the corner :-# Anyways, the most disgusting thing was when I ate a piece of sea-slug at my brother's wedding. Tasted really sour -.- Grass doesn' taste bad at all. Eat the white parts, its soft and yummy. But yellow snow? Dude, no. :ohnoes:

Teach me to draw!
@ jak722 : I guess so for some people. When I was little, tracing an image never crossed my mind as a way to learn drawing. Copying and observing the object in a whole with alot of trial and error was my main teacher. But in grade 12 ("...surprisingly late..." says my friend), I started to learn how to use different parts of the body (mainly the head) to measure out the body (from arms, legs, chest and etc.). And for poses, you can use the spinal cord as an aid to that problem. I would love to try full body sketches but unfortunately, university sucks. Anyways, it gives me an itch when I see people 'draw' by tracing but oh wells, I shouldn't jump to zi conclusion of it being time wasting. :anxious: But if it works, then yah, it wouldn't hurt to try practising by tracing. BTW: Does anyone know what is the average head measurement of a human height? I measured 10 people and only 1 was considered average (7 heads tall). The rest either had a big head or a short body because they were all 6 or 6 and a half heads tall. (lol, tracing a stickman - I dont think anyone has done that) :XD:

Help me with my pixel sig *NEED SHADER AND BACK ROUND IDEAS*
Why is his tongue purple?! :uhh: :ohnoes: Anyways... Even for a cartoon approach, the proportion should still be maintained. Don't take the word ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åproportion̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Teach me to draw!
Oh noes :ohnoes: ! Tracing is not a very good way of learning art. You're not putting any thoughts into it since all you'll be doing is follow the lines where ever it takes you. It's just a waste of time in my opinion. Copying 'images' on the other hand, will train your eyes to recognize and distinguish the different proportions and features. It will also train your hands to become fluid, relaxed and swift instead of being cold and stiff. The downside to copying however, would be the lack of creativity and originality. But hey, what you are gathering is a collection of recognizable objects that can be transformed or morphed into other things with the power of imagination :!: :!: =P~ =P~

first tablet drawing
Oh c'mon! Try it on photoshop or some other programs to test the pressure sensitivity!! : Mine is an wacom 6x8 intuos 3 (my sisters bought it for me :)) Had it for a year and 2 months and it has not malfunction...yet. I don't know about anyone else but using a tablet pen for msPainting is very inconvenient. :-s

Teach me to draw!
Keep trying Tigra! Drawing takes commitment so don't give up if it is what you love to do. And don't be intimidated or discouraged by others better than you. It's not too late to learn how to draw realistically. Anyways, here's a small guide I made not so long ago. It is the most basic yet very crucial exercise you need to be familiar with. Btw, this was wiped up through memory so if you can't do that then just give up. (joking!) Start practicing on the facial features (nose, mouth, eyes, etc.) I recommend that you borrow some books ('Drawing the Human Head' - hogarth burne) from libraries or elsewhere to excel your learning. But most importantly - draw from real life! There are more examples in real-life than what books/movies/animations/tutorials can offer you. : (Side note : I personally prefer books over online resources because books provide more in depth materials; stuff that you would never consider in a drawing). For shading exercises, I think it would help alot if you get familar with the human muscles (skinless nudes) and even the skeleton, especially the skull. I haven't tried full body studies yet but for the head - I just familiarize myself with a skull. Drive it into your head and think 3D - apply the shades where you can imagine light does not touch. Quick example i just wiped up: (tehee elf-man :3> ) I do not know how useful a life-drawing class (outside class) is because I've never attended one before but if you have a chance to join then do it! I myself, would like to know what it is like if there's anyone who have or is a member of such a class. Anyways, good luck and most importantly, have fun drawing.

MY WEAPON
The axe blades look very blunted. It doesn't have a sharp deadly appearnce to it like these models :clickey me But a good start though. Oh and on a side note though not important - there's a runite smudge at the top of the axe handle

3D scene. With guns! Gasp!
Counted 16 but I think pj got the point XD Well done on the modeling. But like most people suggested, add some texturing! Don't stop trying  Also, the lighting is alittle odd :-k For instance, the shadow cast on the table and minigun is very intense and there seems to be two spotlights (light source) therefore, there should be atleast two different shading casts. But I dunno, maybe someone can explain it better XD =P~

[Gallery] White Dragon updated & Mr. Orc returns.....
It's conceptart.org landesher. And those artists there are professional-god-artists :3> @ Nahdrav : Thanks for recommendation but I already knew about it :) Most of my inspiration comes from that site; mainly artworks by william whitaker and marc taro.

Could you take anothre person's life?
I will kill a person if he or she threatens to harm (as in kill) anyone of my loved ones (family members, relatives, friends, and etc...). To kill or be killed - I will choose either one if that situation comes true. I rather die then have to live the rest of my life bearing the lost of a loved one and knowing that the killer is still among this world. It is a selfish act but heck. O:)

How come you registered at Tip.it?
I originally registered to tip.it to conduct some business in the mining and smithing industry lol It didn't go very well so I left and became inactive for about a few months or maybe a year; it was about the same time as my retirement from RS. Anyways, I returned to tip.it under the name Lazy_cat because I forgot the pwd for the previous account #-o Lazy_cat was a quick-pick name because I didn't plan on staying long but the community here was/is just too great.

Do you bite your nails?
I stopped that habit along time ago. I've moved on to biting the skin around my nail (whatever they're called ~ yum) XD And no, I have never tried biting my toenails because that's just wrong... =P~

More Black and White photography
The second one is the best IMO. =D> The third one is very blurry but sitting for 10mins without changing your position is tough. Nonetheless, it would be more interesting if you played around with some lighting/shadowing techniques. Nice work though :)
