I just want to know..
how many FLIPPING DAYS OF MEMBERSHIP I HAVE LEFT. Rebill date is not the same day I run out of members. Seriously what is this? I was already in a bad mood, but this is just stupid.

How much is Runescape's entertainment worth to you?
^^ yeah i'd pay $15-20 easy if jagex made enough changes that i liked. This sounds good to me! The cheap-ness of runescape is definitely one thing that keeps me around. Also my clan, and the general atmosphere of the game. I think I find grinding fun sometime. :D If they wanted me to pay as much as other MMO's (say WoW) they'd definitely have to up their service and customer support to the same level as other games (like WoW... I recently had a debacle on my untouched-since-I-started-playing WoW account and was very pleased with their customer service. :D). EDIT: Anyone else using Draynor.net signatures, and find they aren't updating? PM me if you have a solution! I've definitely gained levels and stuff after March 18...)

You know what I HATE more than anything in this game?
I definitely enjoyed rs in 2006, but I enjoy it now as well. I enjoyed it before free trade was brought back as well. :P The GE and clan chats are definitely a wonderful addition, and I feel like the community hasn't changed much. I'm a little bit worried that things might get worse though.. To the extent things were just before free trade was first removed. It was removed for a reason if I recall..

ABYSSAL MINION INVASION!!!!
Should really put all those pictures in separate hide tags or something.. And add a warning that there are some large images. :P What happened there anyways? Were there actually minions running around? :S

Name Length
You're... you're a global moderator on tip.it? O.O I don't really like the name change either.. And I definitely don't think we need longer names. Not that it's entirely pertinent to the discussion, but I've only changed my name a few times. I always come back to my original though. Definitely don't see a need for longer names.

Expected april's fools?
Hah, fake sailing. I really liked the cabbage April fools.. Wasn't that the one where Draynor cabbage patch came alive? I kept some cabbages that you could throw at people for the longest time.. Wonder if I still have any. :P I'm thinking I got rid of them a while ago. :(

Tip.It Times - 20th March 2011
I really hope clans receive some good updates soon.. Like in WoW or other games where your clan is displayed with your username. And I kind of hope no one out there is actually doubling money or trimming armor.. That just feeds the flames of stupid scammers that feed off of desperate/stupid people.

Bonesack/Ram skull helmet
I have them, but I only kept the bonesack for it's teleporting abilities.

Account Hijacking & Jagex Item Return Policy
Yeah I was thinking that too. But it seems like Jagex knew what was stolen. And I was overall just impressed with Blizzard's customer service.

Account Hijacking & Jagex Item Return Policy
My WOW account was recently stolen. I only played for like 2 months a year ago, wasn't my favourite game I guess. So since I hadn't logged on, I have no idea how it was stolen. In the end it got banned for RWT, as far as I understand. During the account recovery process, Blizzard offered to return any stolen items multiple times, and told me ways to secure my computer. (Though I don't think any items were stolen anyways.) Thought this might relate to the discussion here. Obviously, Jagex knew what was stolen. It shouldn't have been that hard to return them, though that isn't their policy right now. I don't think they should go changing it for just one person just because she was rather famous. But maybe it's something they should consider in the future. I've never had problems with my RS account being stolen or anything, but I was impressed with Blizzard's customer service. With Jagex's constant automated replies, automated bans, and everything else being automated, it sounds like we very rarely get a real person. Doesn't sound like something to be impressed about.

Females playing RS?
I've been playing this game for.. too many years. :P I really can't remember when I started. Anyways, I've always played as a female character (except for one one-hour stint where I tried being a male character). I've never really had problems with people hitting on me. :P Though I did notice when I was a male character for that hour or so, a lot less talking seemed to happen. :P The only real thing I've noticed about being female, is that I'm the only female whose been around my clan and hasn't left. A few of them left the clan because they didn't like the strict rules the clan keeps. (No swearing on the cc or irc channel's seemed to upset them most..) I'm not sure whether or not I stuck to the point. I kind of just spouted whatever thoughts about being female runescape came into my head. :P

Tip.It Times - 6th March 2011
In regards to the first article, that sounds like a viable solution to me.. Something where people can really play whatever part of the game they want, without all the grinding and stuff they don't want from the real game. I'd definitely stick with the real game though. However it sounds like a *lot* of work.. and I don't get the impression that Jagex would do something that drastic. Maybe we could entice them with the extra money they'd make from (possibly) more members signing up for the "fun" content, and the extra money from selling gold and accounts. :P Which brings me to the second article.. I had no idea that the Gower's no longer had a connection with the game.. do they have any connection's left with Jagex at all?? If they don't, why not? Have they lost the love for this great game they created in their dorm room? :( Makes me sad.. and definitely provides a reason as to why Jagex seems to be all about the money recently. I really hope the latest board of directors (or whatever you call the people who run this game) don't run this game into the ground. It's a lot of fun. :) The only good thing about RS dying would be the time I gain back. xD Don't really want it back at this point though! EDIT: Don't know if I've ever made a post this long. :P

08-Mar-2011 Artisans Workshop
Might be worth trying out, though I really wish the update we were all waiting for was... well more of what we were hoping for. :P I really would have liked some sort of untradeable, high-level armour. Like extreme pots, but with smithing. :P Oh well, guess we can keep dreaming..

uncut gems
You don't HAVE to use the GE to buy things. Try going on the RSOF, or world 2, or one of the many things we used to do before there was a GE. :P

Beware! 'Jagex' scam email!
I just got that one too. It looked really convincing. I was really suspicious though because I already know Jagex doesn't email players. :P The missing part of the link up there says [LikelyScam], which is exactly the address of where you log in. But if you hover over the link, the real address is runescape.hostingparadox.com or something. Okay, so that gets censored out. But I promise you all, it was a convincing looking link. :P

Games beaten:2011
I beat Eternal Sonata a couple days ago. :D Was a pretty game with a fun battle system, but I feel like I missed a lot of the storyline. :S Oh well, I have to play a second time to get all the achievements anyways!

Where a low level can mine rune ore.
Mining rune can be incredibly profitable if you learn how to time the respawns, and log back in at the right time. I think at such a low level, you might actually avoid most of the pker's, but I could be wrong.

Grabbing Hiscores
Using Java, all I had to do was make a URL and then a BufferedReader that reads from the URL as a stream, and I'm able to access everything from the page. I'm still looking at all those links however, as I'm interested as to how much farther I could go than just reading in simple text. xD I don't really know much about sockets/servers/clients or any of that stuff so hopefully none of this will be too over my head. ^^

Grabbing Hiscores
I think I looked at that C# one, but it didn't look quite like what I was looking for. It was meant to grab the ENTIRE high scores I believe, and I just want one. This is definitely helpful, I'll have to see where I can go with this, thanks. :D

Grabbing Hiscores
I've got spring break coming up next week and I wanna mess around trying to create an awesome slayer calculator. :D The only languages I really know are Java and procedural C++, but I'm definitely willing to learn a different one, if there's a more practical one for doing this. :) So anyways, what I want to do is be able to input the name of a user and have it return a skill's level, experience, etc. What language would be best for this? Is there maybe a tutorial that someone could point me too? I don't really have any idea of where to start!

V-Day
Well my boyfriend and I are going to school in different cities right now, but we get to see each other on weekends. Monday (Valentines Day) morning he's gonna leave for school, and I'll leave later to drive back to my city. I WANTED to leave some of those little candy hearts with the messages on them around his apartment, but I couldn't find any anywhere. :( So I bought some chocolate hearts instead, I think that'll do the job alright. ^^

Remove the 5% cap
How am I suppose to know the "street" value of a price? Back in the day, before free trade was ever removed, the market was a fairly stable thing. Nats and laws were 300 each. Sharks and magic logs were 1k. If you had something you didn't know the price of (say a Zamorak Platebody) you would go to world 1 or 2 and sell for whatever it was currently being sold for. But now people are so used to using the GE that it's seen (but the average player at least) as a huge indicator of what prices are at. I just see no point in leaving the cap on. What purpose does it serve? If you think it would "disbalance" the economy even more, you are wrong, and you likely weren't around in the days before the GE even existed.
