  1. Agreeing with other people doesn't mean they share your ideas :wall: Unless you're a stubborn [wagon], you're bound to recognize other people out there with good ideas, who don't share your stance on politics.
  2. If you see a 4 itemer, just don't attack him - it's that simple. They'll never skull on anyone so you don't have to worry about them attacking you, unless you're on like 10hp from a previous fight.
  3. it doesn't help when he does that on stage
  4. McCain has associated with, among others: Charles Keating - bank scandal McCain was very good friends with Keating. Keating donated over $100k to McCain's political campaign. McCain met with federal regulators on Keating's behalf. G. Gordon Liddy - convicted Watergate burglar, domestic terrorist Liddy hosted a fundraiser for McCain in 1998. In May 2007, McCain appeared on his talk show and praised Liddy's "adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great." John Hagee - made Anti-Catholic, Anti-Jew, Anti-Islamic remarks McCain sought out his endorsement, then was "honored" to accept it ... then rejected it later once Hagee's past remarks brought up United States Council for World Freedom - illegally supplied weapons to guerillas in the Iron-Contra conflict, and was placed under watch by the Anti-Defamation League, which noted the organization had increasingly become a point of contact for extremists, racists and anti-Semites McCain served on its Board of Directors Todd Palin - former member of Alaskan Independence Party, a group which attempted to secede from the U.S. McCain... Sarah Palin... duh What was that about poor judgment? #-o
  5. are you serious? lol
  6. If you want to read the full report, you can here (big pdf file) If there were any missing details in the panel hearing, it's because people ignored subpoenas and refused to testify (Palin). Even though she violated state law, I'm sure she did it in a mavericky way.
  7. Dunno about the rest of you, but I thought the actual article would've done more damage than the picture on the cover. I guess it's okay if a magazine slams your background, political (in)experience, and ideological stances, but god forbid if they zoom in on your face too much.
  8. I blame the liberal, elitist, terrorist-supporting, inexperienced Alaskan panel for trying to slander the infallible, well spoken V.P candidate.
  9. McCain has his own pastor problem, don't forget about him. This past March, McCain called Pastor Ron Parsely "one of the truly great leaders in America, a moral compass, a spiritual guide". During a 2005 sermon, Parsely called Islam "the greatest religious enemy of our civilization and the world," claiming that the historic mission of America is to see "this false religion destroyed." In this taped sermon, currently sold by his megachurch, the Reverend Rod Parsley reiterates and amplifies harsh and derogatory comments about Islam he made in his book, Silent No More, published the same year he delivered these remarks Parsley approvingly quotes Christian theologian Jonathan Edwards' reference to Islam as "Satan's Mohammedan kingdom." etc etc etc...
  10. More importantly, how could a blind person use the internet at all?
  11. I used to use kebobs for training, but I can't see them being highly used in pking since there's a chance they might not heal you at all. Most, if not all, pkers would rather get 12/14 hp of healing guaranteed, than only having a chance of getting 0-30hp healed.
  12. I don't know why people keep saying that having a Democrat as president would ruin the economy. The economy has historically been much better in times with a Democratic president than a Republican president. CPI = consumer price inflation DJIA = change in Dow Jones Industrial Average dollar = change in dollar against the mark/euro. source
  13. And BH was no replacement for the true wilderness style of wilderness pking, so it evens out.
  14. Back in like 5th grade, I fed plants with a variety of items to see how well they fared. I think I used motor oil, water, root beer, and some other stuff. The next year I think I made some type of microphone/telephone using an electromagnet.
  15. Even if you take away the MSNBC poll, you still have 2 other major networks giving the same poll results. Even Fox News, which is to Conservatives as MSNBC is to liberals, has Biden winning. edit: Biden is also winning the online poll at Townhall.com, which advertises itself as a website for Republican Politics and Conservative Issues. [hide=]Who won Thursday night's VP debate? Joe Biden (57 %) Sarah Palin (41 %) Tie (2 %)[/hide]
  16. Here's a short summary of different TV station polls of the debate: CBS: [hide=] [/hide] MSNBC: [hide=] [/hide] Fox News: [hide=] [/hide] Granted, its always likely to change from new people voting on their websites, but it seems like majority of the visitors of those 3 sites feel like Biden 'won' the debate.
  17. I don't think I've heard Palin take a breath yet so far in the debate. Every time she speaks, its some giant run-on sentence :-# I am somewhat scared that since the bar is set so low for her, that even if she only has 2 or 3 mistakes, it'll be claimed as a massive success.
  18. Sounds like it'll be an exciting month. Although their example of --Look, its my tree. If you dont stop chopping it...Ill chop you!-- doesn't seem all that realistic. Unless training skills in PvP worlds yields additional exp, I can't see anyone training much of anything in them. More likely than not, griefers would come around and kill whoever is innocently training.
  19. IMO, the fault lies primarily on the banking industry that participated in so much sub-prime lending. (long story short- they gave out loans to people that couldn't pay em back) Then these same banking companies bundled up these mortgages and sold the rights to them as investments. Investors bought these bundles, expecting them to gain value as the mortgages were eventually paid off. You could also argue that guilt lies with the regulators that didn't pay close enough attention, or the actual people who took out the loans and didn't pay em back. (if you meant whose fault is it that it didn't pass, then it lies with the House of Representatives. Voting yes were 140 Democrats and 65 Republicans. Voting no were 95 Democrats and 133 Republicans.)

  21. Oh no, Obama thinks some of McCain's idea are good are you accusing Obama of being.... bipartisan?

I was able to get a refurbished 30gb Creative Zen last winter for only $100, and it's worked perfectly. The sound quality is fine, and the video screen quality is pretty good, especially for $100. Try upgrading your headphones, that's probably where majority of the problem lies.
  23. Ok, so Biden was 4 years off regarding FDR's presidency... Palin is about 65 million years off regarding dinosaurs.
  24. For someone who's advocated transparency, Palin sure doesn't bring much of it to her campaign. In order to get some foreign experience, she's scheduled to meet with some foreign leaders this week, but just today she announced that all reporters are banned from the meetings... only photographers and a television crew are allowed in. It pretty much turned the meetings into a photo-op #-o And how can the Republican party think she's more prepared to face foreign leaders, than reporters/Biden? :wall: I mean, I know she didn't do that well in the Gibson interview, but c'mon... edit: Looks like she agreed to let 1 reporter in, when all the news networks threatened not to report on the meeting at all, thus negating any press Palin would receive.
