Whether or not you consider yourself to have a good taste in entertainment, I'm sure all of you have some movie/song/TV show that you're embarrassed to call yourself a fan of. These embarrassing pleasures don't necessarily have to had been reviewed poorly by critics, but most often they are. Anyways, some movies I'm embarrassed to say that I like are Fever Pitch and the Fantastic Four.
  2. I would say that person is an idiot for using a horrible method of making a house. Why put so much more stress on yourself? I'd praise someone who can make the most efficient house in the best time. In this case, that would be P2P. Not every person cares about the most efficient means of completing a game (or house) :wall: Some people like to build their houses with their bare hands simply for the challenge of it, which, while being very inefficient, can be very satisfying. Other people prefer to have their houses buil-.... nevermind... I'm not continuing this [cabbage]ty conversation between houses and runescape.
  3. No it's not. That's like making a 2 story house out of sticks and mud purposely instead of making it out of brick. Saying you're "100% f2p" is saying you're proud of being an idiot. I'd say making a two-story house out of sticks and mud is quite an achievement. And by thinking people who are proud of being f2p are idiots, you don't exactly separate yourself from that idiot crowd. As for skill capes, I've never really been a fan of them. When I trained any of my stats to 99, I just did it for the achievement itself, not so random level 30s can say "wow 99 smith, emote pls" and a side note to everyone: Please don't think all f2pers are like Rarex. The top f2pers mainly are quiet and much less needy because we realized long ago that f2p has never really needed updates, and to appreciate the ones we already have

(I haven't yet seen a topic about this, so if there is already one, feel free to randomly insult me until this is locked) Well I just got back from the movie, and I was very impressed with it. It was Ben Stiller's first directing role since Zoolander, which was fantastic, and he did a great job with TT. I don't want to give a full summary of the movie here - you can find better ones out there on actual movie sites - but there were some hilariously memorable moments & characters. By itself, the movie is making a huge spoof of not only past war movies -Platoon, Apocalypse Now- but the entire movie genre, but it's so much more than that. It's an war action comedy, with some pretty intense scenes. Preceding the movie are some fake movie trailers featuring the characters in TT, so if you go see the movie, make sure you get there beforehand so you don't miss the trailers. They're simply awesome, especially the one featuring Ben Stiller. [hide=Spoilers]Just the idea of the original 'Scorched' movie is laughable (Earth's axis stops spinning, and the world bursts to flame) but the fact that they make 5 sequels for it is [/hide] The only part I thought was kind of stupid was: [hide=Spoilers]The Tom Cruise dancing/rapping part near the end. He was a spectacular character without the dancing, I just felt it was unneeded and was there for dumb laughs.[/hide] Some groups have called for boycotts of the movie, for both Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of a black man (blackfacing), and the use of the word "r-tard" many times, but I hardly saw either as overly offensive or mean-spirited. In fact, I found RDJ was one of the funniest parts of the movie. I didn't stop smiling from the fake trailers to the end credits. I don't know about any of you, but I usually have trouble laughing out loud in theaters when not many other people in there with me, but I can't count the number of times it happened during this movie. I highly recommend it, unless you're easily offended or don't like quasi-violent movies.
  8. dammit jagex is making me interested in playing rs again.
  9. List updated~ http://www.runehead.com/clans/ml.php?cl ... rt=overall
  10. iirc, crackers were around a bil when rares had all skyrocketed for a month or two (I think summer of 2006?). but I can't ever see every type of rare ever getting that high, ever again. people are too desperate to make short term profit that whenever a rare makes them like 100k profit, they'll sell immediately, expecting the price to drop... and in doing so, the fear of price drops actually result in price drops.
  11. My first post on scapeboard was something in response to a guy spamming with smilies, and my first posts on these forums were on topics that have been deleted due to their age/inactivity, but my first post that still appears is: - on a topic asking for cc for a sig.
  12. Runehead is down atm, so I'll update it tomorrow.
  13. the main thing i've learned from the game is that most runescapers are such idiots that they don't understand how angles work... they just sit there and expect the orb to move through a wall :wall:
  14. It's really not that big of a deal. Those 'big' updates you listed for f2p weren't all that big. Duel Arena wasn't a very big update at all, since p2pers had all but abandoned it, due to the trade/stake limit. It isn't all that popular in f2p either. FoG was just an attempt to replace the wild. Graphical updates - I don't even know if it was possible for Jagex to program new game graphics for just p2p, and not f2p. etc etc etc Even though it's in Jagex's best interests to occasionally update f2p (attract new players, new players get p2p) p2p will still get many more, many better updates that f2p won't get, so don't lose hope, members #-o
  15. not in any order 1. Children of Men 2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 3. Wall Street, Boiler Room - somewhat similar movies, I like em both equally 4. 28 days later 5. Training Day if I could pick a 6th, it would be UHF.
  16. list updated~ http://www.runehead.com/clans/ml.php?cl ... rt=overall names removed: (all got p2p) Ben 0006 Tercon_Pl Deadlyiceman Kivi48 all names posted for addition since last update have been added
  17. What the hell would you expect from a topic asking what f2pers wanted? Just because crappy substitutes to wild-pking were given to f2p, it doesn't mean that now every single f2per has every single update (s)he ever wanted. I agree. I heard Jagex lost 50,000 memberships after Party Pete's was made f2p. ....Obviously giving ALL p2p updates to f2p would hurt Jagex, but updating and improving f2p with occasional p2p aspects wouldn't hurt Jagex, especially when such aspects are rarely all that popular in p2p. Party Pete's wasn't popular at all in p2p when it was f2p - it only became popular when 'drop parties' were killed by the trade update. If anything, it would attract new people to Runescape, some of which would inevitably become p2p.
  18. I think I have 143, but if there have been any new tracks in the past 5 weeks, I haven't gotten them. (like from the lumbridge energy ring thing)
  19. I wouldn't be too surprised if Jagex implemented some type of real life $ for items in future games, but never for Runescape. Many other online games offer some type of purchasing system to buy premium items with cash, and it seems to work pretty well. I'd assume Paypal would be utilized since (former Paypal CEO) Geoff Iddison now works for Jagex.
  20. snake slava getting 99 range... then getting banned and getting 99 range all over again. btw I never heard why Pirahna was removed from the highscores however many years ago. I assumed it was autoing, but does anyone have an actual answer why?
  21. I read an article saying that one of the writers of TDK is nervous about even attempting a third movie, because he felt it would be impossible to top the second. Some possible villains for a third movie noted in the article were The Riddler (possibly played by Johnny Depp) and/or The Penguin (Philip Seymour Hoffman).
  22. once again, rare speculation dominates the market
  23. there isn't much of a continuing plot to worry about. the main gist of the show is that they are 4 friends in philadelphia, who run a (crappy) bar it was first advertised as "seinfeld on crack", so that will kind of give an idea of how the show goes. it's not really about anything, but each episode involves some issue, whether it's birth control, transsexuals, or any well-known movie, like Invincible, Serpico, or Die Hard.
  24. wrong topic? #-o i've been in love with the show since it came out. f/x is one of my favorite channels, so i make sure to try to watch every new series they come out with, even if they don't become as popular (Starved, Over There). everything about the show is great - the ridiculous plots, the characters, etc. every scene is memorable :D (they even did the rick roll song before it was popular)
  25. I agree with everything you said. Quite a few times during the ~3 years of my pmodship I wished I wasn't a mod, just because of so much undesired attention the crown brought. I never regret agreeing to accept the role though - it's a good opportunity to help crack down on some of the scammers out there. Before the trade update, if I was bored and wanted something else to do, I knew I could head to Lumbridge and find some auto-talkers advertising scam sites. The thing I enjoyed most about being a pmod ended over 2 years ago. Autoers used to be programmed to logout whenever a pmod spoke, which was very funny to watch, especially where there were dozens of them at the same place. Sometimes I'd world hop with a friend and just stand behind Varrock castle, where the 3 yews are, and watch 40+ clones logout at the same time. :D
