  3. Spam has been removed from this thread, along with the duplicate MP script quotes. Have fun! - Ard
  4. Even though you gave clear credit to the designer, Gallery posts should contain YOUR original work in order to generate discussion and feedback.
  5. Trust me when I say that if you had made that list two weeks ago, you would have gotten the same results, if not a larger list. The number of locked posts in Gen P2P appears to have actually decreased since the update. I'm keeping an eye out though...and your suggestions in mind. - Ard
  6. I'm still learning. Any advice on HOW to do this would be great.
  7. For those of you trying to switch to Sun Java, check out this guide.
  8. Duplicate post on General Help and Advice.
  9. More details would be great, but I don't see this as spam.
  10. Spam has been removed from this thread. Please stay on track.
  11. This is an ongoing process since not all advertisements are under our control and are generated by a third-party based on key words. Unfortunately bad advertisements do show up. Please Report bad ads here as you find them. Your assistance in reporting bad ads is a tremendous help. Thanks for posting! - Ard
  12. I see your points. These ideas bounced around for a while. It is true that different logic has been used for each change along with looking at user behavior as a whole. There are always other options. Test and adjust...'tis the nature of all things online. I'll keep this thread in mind after the changes are up and running for a few weeks. Who knows, some minor tweaks might happen sooner. Thanks for posting!
  13. I'm just going to explain the logic behind the changes. Of course, if need arises, we can make adjustments based on how the newly-arranged forums are used. It will be best to give the changes a few weeks of use to identify any adjustments that make the most sense. The informational Help forums have been placed above the "post your questions here" forum in order to allow the information to have more visibility. The goal is for users to search the informational forums before they post. General P2P has always been used more, which is why it has been promoted. "Discussions" has been added to the category heading therefore discussions on each of the forums within the category is implied. Identifying glitches and bugs is better suited for the RuneScape forum as well since the forum's purpose is to make suggestions for correction. Art -> Entertainment -> Creative writing...doesn't seem to be a missmatch. We'll see how it goes though. Thanks for the suggestions. We'll keep this all in mind as we take note of how everyone makes use of the new forum arrangement. Constructive criticism is always welcome. - Ard

  17. I vote RuneScape!!! Moved this to Tech and Computers since it's more about gaming features than RuneScape discussion.
  18. Please note the following changes: [*:3u7sh8lr]The different categories have been rearranged to improve visibility for the highly needed forums. [*:3u7sh8lr]New categories have been added including: [*:3u7sh8lr]Help, Guides and Advice which contains all informational forums as well as Help & Advice which is now called General Help & Advice in preparation for some new specific help. Check out the poll to cast your vote on the new ones. [*:3u7sh8lr]Events and Gatherings which contains a new forum for player-coordinated events as well as the TET forum. [*:3u7sh8lr]Descriptions for most forums have been updated for ease of use.
  19. For me, the trick to drawing is just doodling/sketching something without thinking. My main way to stay focused in class was to draw in my notebooks. It took care of my need to keep moving and allowed me to listen better. Over time, I found I had some pretty cool drawings. It was a good way to figure out what I was good at drawing because I wasn't trying too hard at it, it just happened. I'm better at architectual, landscape and abstract drawing. These kinds of art really just happen for me. If I was ever in the mood for faces, I did go back to the curricular method of drawing the head, and proportioning with dots/lines/etc...some of which has been depicted here. Even if you just draw using lines for features (stick-figureish or cartoony), you can get the proportions nailed down just by sketching. All in all, be patient with yourself. If drawing faces doesn't come naturally for you, they are the toughest thing to learn. Another good face proportion description:
  20. Thanks so much for the offer. I'm afraid I need more than tips and answers at this point. Though. I'll be sure to get in touch when I know enough to ask an intelligent question.:anxious: Wow, thanks! I made that one on a whim since I like the show so much. I'm not big on television, so it's kind of fun. 8-)
  21. If you were any more bored, you'd be a 2X4.
  22. I'd HARDLY compare the forum rules to such things as prohibition. Not to mention the fact that this discussion isn't about laws, but about communication. Every situation that we (forum staff) encounters requires a unique treatment. If every rule-violating post/thread remained in view, we'd have pages upon pages of locked threads with messages that describe all the reasons why the posts/threads have been locked. Personally speaking, I don't remove anything from the public forums that is not in violation of one of our forum rules. If a post has gone missing, the forum rules serve as a publically posted, obvious reason. It would be painfully redundant for us (forum staff) to quote the obvious reasons back to rule-violaters when the forum rules are available to everyone at all times. If your post has gone missing, read the forum rules to find out why...it's obviously helpful.
  23. No worries cadburys_egg, I know I'm still a novice with this sort of graphic design. My signatures have predominantly been made using GIMP and Apophysis. I also have Blender 3D, Paint.net, Terragen, Bryce 5 and Poser 5. I've yet to have make anything decent with any of those yet though. I recently found my old Photoshop 6 CD and installed it but lack the time/patience to re-remember how to do alll the things I can do in GIMP. I love to play with new software and certainly want to try new things. It's really just a matter of having the time to focus on it. I'm open to all advice, comments and tips.
  24. Just to clarify... You are looking for something like this Suggestion Blacklist on the RuneScape Discussions & Suggestions forum. I'll have to take a closer look at the forum, but it doesn't seem out of scope. - Ard
  25. This appears to duplicate the existing Badly pronounce the above user's name! thread. Please feel free to post there.
