  1. Well, i have tons of items i like... My first needle, it got me into crafting and still remains one of my passions (and thus i kept that needle), along with my first holy symbol crafted/blessed. In fact, i personally think monk robes w/symbol is one of the best outfits, right next to bobble hat/scarf with dark wizard robe top and bottom and frog head, mime top, and dhide legs. Also, I like my frog head, its soo awesome, made me forget about ever wanting a green h'ween mask. Lasly, bronze chains and iron legs will forever hold a place in my heart (along with an iron baxe) as the first items i was given by a friend (and the first equipment I ever got/used besides the tutorial island stuff). Oh and my lobby pot, which has led to many a saves with the lobs it has given me.
  2. THey were never that big. I know, it used to be a favorite hangout of mine when I wanted to be alone.
  3. no ads if you are a member. No need to worry there. Personally, if an ad is laggy, its probably a flash based add; just right click and select low detail. Reduces the lag significantly. but yea they should ANNOUNCE when new rules are added...
  4. hmm, makes me wonder if the firelighters from treasure trails are actually supposed to be rewards for this random (especially since I've heard they are untradeable...i think all other treasure trails items are, so it wouldnt make too much sense).
  5. I'll try and be there with myself :) Just to clarify, we attack OTHER people right? not people who are with us?
  6. Now, why is this a members only event? I mean it doesnt seem to come only if you do a members skill, and since there are many more f2p autoers, you would think it would be a f2p and p2p event...
  7. so its very annoying to get and takes too long to complete eh? Looks like f2p lucked out by NOT getting in on this update
  8. sweet! After i make a few more airs and break even i'll train with the rest of my ess in the body altar (heck, i could use curse training :)).
  9. I just play to have fun. However, I my fun arrives from interacting with players around me. I dont necessarily make friendships (I have only one person on my friend list with whom I talk to, the rest are former business acquantances), but I chit chat, whack out my rubber chicken, dance, etc. Just chill a bit, maybe help some people out.
  10. Not to mention they got rid of the two fences along the path between the two or three dwarves that wander there... that used to be my favorite curse training spot, as the dwarves seemed to be more resistant to magic than most other enemies (perhaps due to their leather armor). Alas, training spot I knew thee well... :( Also, along with the barbarian archer, i noticed an arching guardsman. This is pretty big for f2p; prior to this update, the only creatures on f2p that used ranged attacks were the barbarians with throwing battle axes, and even that was rare (usually only when you were running away, never from across something like tables).
  11. Wouldn't the point of updating its special be to change that so that people start using the claws? Still, i agree that thats alot for just one special to achieve. Personally, I would like to see a major claw update. Firstly, remove the special from the rune claw (seeing as how no one uses it it wouldn't matter to people), then create the Dragon claws. The special for the dragon claws would be something like "Pounce". What this would do is to make the character jump forward and literally pounce on the opponent witht the claws, doing heighted damage (perhapes 1.5-2x damage), along with pushing the opponent back 2-3 spaces (natually you wouldn't if you were right next to a wall or something), but also making you miss an attack cycle so that its not too over powered. Special bar drain: 33% Also, the base damage could be moderately high to make up for the lack of a shield and actually encourage people to use it.
  12. He clarified that you have to pay double the alch price to get it back in a post a few above yours. As for the rare market bit, the idea would serve more as insurance. I believe he said the records of what you alched would only be kept for one login, which is hardly enough time to gas up prices. And it would do no good, as the people who can afford the rares probably would know that the item will be coming back by next login, and thus not buy the rare at the higher price. That being said, I do not agree with this idea. Lets look at this logically. Alchemy converts items into gold, it does not make the item disappear and replace it with a gold amount. Thus, there would be no place to "reclaim" your items, for the gp you hold is technically still the same item, just in gp form.
  13. Sort of like a prepaid option? I have to admit thats a pretty nice idea. It wouldnt help people fish more lobbies and screw up the market as people ususally do that in Catherby and the Fishing guild anyways, and those that have to go to karajama would still have a lengthy dialouge. It would just make the trip more convienent.
  14. Then apparently they just contradicted themselves, because they have admitted that killing all 6 brothers does increase the chance of a drop, and thus it is not "TOTALLY luck".
  15. They fixed camo a long time ago, like about a week after it was released. As for shade, naturally since that is tradeable you wouldnt get it back. He means clothes like Prince's Outfit, Frog Masks, Leiderhosen, Mime, and Camo. And quite frankly, I agree with him.
  16. Varrock is next inline for a make over. I doubt sitable chairs though :S i want a sitable chair  enchant it so that it follows you around (like the ones in draynor manor) while you arent sitting on em.
  17. So then why not create a random "event" that makes a useless coal-rock-colored [bleep]e appear where the first option upon clicking is to teleport to a holding "cell" where you must do some thing like mine the correct ores a miner assigns you to get out. When the rock appears, the coals will all lose its ore (become gray) so that only the [bleep]e is clicked on by autoers, and to prevent further color use, in the "cell", the colors of the rocks change each time, as well as the color you are assigned to mine to get out.
  18. Aparently trimmed wizard and range armors are members only...tis a shame, since like the melee people have 10 sets in f2p and mage and range can't even get one set. I personally wouldnt mind if some of the trimmed armors were taken away for trimmed mage and range gear, that way all three classes get to look nice.

Don't let this entirely turn you away from charitable giving, rather, take it as a warning. Yelling "drop party" to the beggars of f2p runescape, though more efficent, isnt the best way to give out free stuff, and definetly isn't a way to give stuff to deserving people. Instead, look for low lvl non begging people who are playing the game the way it is supposed to be played, and reward them for it. They will be thankful, and most likely won't expect more, or report you. Yea I agree with him. I recently went on a spree giving out some iron armor i made to train smithing, and gave it to one such person who actually declined saying he wasnt able to pay for it, even though i had already accepted and he was going to get it free. After i explained that he was free, he thanked me, but didnt follow me begging for free stuff, or follow up with "Add friend pl0x?". I was truly amazed at his attitude, and have thus stopped doubting the new community. You may think that there are nothing but trouble makers out there, but thats because the decent ones are too busy playing the right way to bother you.
  20. the ones people have pics for are in this thread: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=408409 i'd prolly just check that one periodically to see which have been found.
  21. Well i explored the barb village a bit, and i noticed that the barbarians carried many different melee weapons now (battle axe, warhammer/maul thing, long sword, another sword held like a 2h but used with one hand, a long mace, spear), but they added an archer with a longbow. In f2p, he is the first pure ranging enemy we have to fight (we had the barbarians throw throwing axes before, but that was only a secondary attack). I just thought that was a bit note worthy. Also, you can talk to the barbarians and start a fight through conversation, as well as learn some history of the barbarians from one of them (the only one you cannot attack). Not to mention the area now crawls with red and grey squirrels, and a lone racoon in the dining hall. Also, I find it interesting the ore rocks were moved to the center of town. wonder why they did that. I then went to falador and immediately felt like i was walking through the castles in Super Mario Bros. (NES version). I mean everything is now white blocks...kinda overdone witht eh bricks if you ask me. Also, the white nights now have a light blue trim on the feather things on their helmet instead of red (forgot what they are called). Has this affected the armor you get after joining the white knights? Overall, i think f2p got a great bargain on this update. I especially like the barbarian village. Prolly gonna hang there for a few days now.
  22. Theres a simple enough reason for that. You can buy all levels of pickaxes in game from the dwarf in the cave. However, you cannot buy a wc axe higher than steel anywhere in game (unless there is some p2p shop I don't know about). Thats why smithing axes is in the game, but smithing pickaxes isn't. so put me in the list of opposition. You cant have both. If you do decide to make them smithable, remove all picks higher than steel from sale.
  23. The maces and daggers look terrible (save the dragon versions of both). Also, schimitars look pretty ugly.
  24. Ok, this man Died, at least show some level of respect for his memory. As for the removal of his account, the credit card theory seems the most plausible to me. I doubt Jagex would personally delete accounts just because their owners died. Shiva was well known amongst us, but in the mass of like 5 million accounts i doubt Jagex knew him well enough to personally do that. you know jaqex read these forums, and there is title on front page, with a news article as well, im 90% sure jaqex has read it and probobly removed because of this really? are you sure Jagex reads these forums? Im just curious how you found that out. I'm not doubting you, I'm just wondering.
